@Johnson: because your standard is different from Rob's. You use the 3 hours out of bed or 2 hours out of bed and throw it out there like that's his true height. That's your estimate and yours only. While Rob uses more of a normal height unless he is unsure which is often the case with athletes here because many are listed 1/2" higher than they are as is. Your estimates are always consistent with trying to "justify" what a club told you and you tend to inflate everyone else's heights in comparison with them to make the "math" work. That is not a good way or sound way to estimate unfortunately. So I have to go with what's rob said Messi is 169 only because all of your estimates are inflated by 1-2cm. Rob tends himself to have lots of celebs listed a bit higher as is giving them the benefit of the doubt when he is uncertain. example Michael jordan anyone who has ever described him including people who have met him as well as other players say he's 6'4 to 6'5 you have him as over 6'5 Rob has him 6'5". When 6'6" guys are meeting him and saying he's 6'4" range obviously that's what it means that he isn't quite 6'5". And he was drafted and measured 6'4.5 in 1984 at 21 so doubt he grew when people say he looks the same size now. Now 6'5" is a safe estimate for Rob as he hasn't met him so it's maybe a roundup but looking at him with Kobe MJ is not taller than Kobe is. I would take the 170 for Messi a bit more seriously and consider that a possibility but I just don't see it as a low if he measures where he does. I doubt Messi is shorter than 169 evening. I don't rule out 169 flat for Messi evening but not shorter than that and taller than that figure during all morning

Rob remember I saw Nessbitt in person and when I got his autograph I didn't feel much shorter than him at all and I am not even 5ft8 . And yes I thought he looked much smaller than Ronaldo.

Editor Rob I don't know how high up the camera is, but Nesbitt could certainly make Messi look 5ft 7 and with Ronaldo at the event he looked over 2 inches smaller in the same area.

I think Messi is 5ft6 range the more I look at him, he can pull off solid 5ft6 at times, but other times he looks shorter. He could be anywhere from 167-169 but most likely 168cm.
After so many football heights being inflated, you could believe Messi's 5ft7 listing is not 100% accurate, although he's not far from it.

My point with footballers is not related to what my height is. It is related with their medicals. I think I have a good eye guessing heights.

This guy has achieved SO MUCH in his life so far and yet it fustrates me when I see spiteful comments on the Internet about his height.
The poor guy can't help his height because of his childhood hormonal problems and despite that has overcome adversity to become arguably the best player in the world . Casillas has gone out of form slowly as he aged because his prowess based on agility. Big keepers can keep going well into their late 30s or even beyond. Casillas is ALWAYS several inches shorter than Sergio Ramos. Sometimes it looks like 2 inches, other times 3 or so. My estimate is 5' 10" to 5' 10.5". Definitely sub-six feet, would be lucky if he was 5' 11".
