Mary Tamm's Height
5ft 5 (165.1 cm)
British actress, best remembered for playing The Doctor's companion Romana in Sci-fi Series Doctor Who. In film she can be seen in The Odessa File and The Likely Lads. This photo was from a Glasgow Collectormania, she had thicker footwear, about 0.5-0.75 inch more than my sneaker. On her spotlight casting page in the 1970's she listed her height as 5ft 6.5 and 5ft 7.

Well you answered tons of my questions over the last couple of years so if I can help that is good. It is a shame im completely obsessed with heights rather than something I can make money out of
Editor Rob: you certainly won't make a living starting a celebheights from scratch these days 😵 😳 😱
I've seen loads of sites over the years appear in the "measurements" field, some flourish, most fade away...trying to keep a site updated on a daily basis for 10+ years requires mental toughness, especially when you put your face and name to the site and have ongoing interaction with the visitors 👍

Rob, im sorry I keep saying corrections but you wrote spotlight cadting page instead of spotlight casting.
Editor Rob: spotting any mistakes and leaving a quick comment so I know is very helpful! Especially with 10,000 pages, it's a lot of words 😵
as for Mary's height claims, they seemed rather optimistic. In person I would have said under 5ft 5 but maybe did lose 1cm in height in her latter years. I would have said Lalla Ward had an edge on her in Doctor Who when they appeared together, and she claimed an inch or so lower than Mary.

How sad to find out this very minute that Mary is no longer with us. I didn't know that. I did think that she was all of 5ft8, though I might have been getting her mixed up with another Dr Who assistant, Louise Jameson, I think.

I always thought that she was much taller if you look at her work on Doctor Who, they said she was 5-8.

I haven't seen pictures of her but with you Rob looks like a 3 or 3.5 inches difference.
