Jordan is under 6'5" by this sites afternoon barefoot standard and I think that is clear. I'm surprised you haven't adjusted this to 6'4 3/4" max, Rob.

@Roderick: lol I know right! That’s the second time I’ve done that with the picture. If you google the two Starks and jordan you’ll see it when They’re face to face on the court. Jordan is about 2.5” taller than Starks which adds up being Starks admitted to 6’2” so MJ 6’4.5 ish. I don’t rule out maybe 194.5 for him but that’s as high as I could give Jordan

Jordan actually has 6-7 cm on Starks

6’4.5ish vs 6’2”

🤔 I'm not sure I'd use a computer game to compare heights

Actually,Christian 6'4.5"is not impossible although you can discuss whether he was this mark or the 6'4 7/8" that did appear too often. Both are reasonable opinions. The whole thing is about how we can interpret Riley's claim in other words did he claim Jordan's exact mark or did he round down a mark like 6'4.75 or 6'4 7/8".Ultimately I'm still convinced that 6'4 7/8"was a true measurement although probably like Barkley it was an evening one so he wouldn't have lost much more than that or maybe 1/8 at most. And Barkley's at 6'4 5/8" is certainly the lowest arguable.I would still leave Jordan at 6'4.75 as the best compromise. It's not completely absurd to think he was exactly the same as Kobe.
Canson said on 23/Aug/19
@Brad: Phil Jackson once said Kobe was slightly taller. I mean they’re very close in height but next to Ron Harper I could see Kobe edging Jordan as Harper always seemed close to an inch taller than jordan on the court
Canson said on 22/Aug/19
@Duhon: an evening measurement would be more legitimate than a morning measurement. Rob has mentioned before that he assumes each person has been awake for 5 hours and that they measure around their low or maybe 1/8” above that mark. I think kobe is probably an afternoon measurement though. I doubt he goes below that by much. He does look more than just a solid 2” shorter than Lebron. I have Lebron pegged as solid 6’7” for site purposes

At the worst I can see Kobe and Jordan being identical, but I still give the edge to Kobe. If by a miracle Jordan's any taller, it's still not more than 1/8" since Jordan measured 6'4 7/8". And that's ignoring the fact that Pat Riley claimed that Jordan was measured 6'4.5" early in his career.

Jordan looks slightly taller than Kobe here Click Here Also we still don't know if Kobe's 6'4.75" measurement by his wife was an evening measurement and could be near or at his low?
Canson said on 20/Aug/19
@Christian: I would still have Kobe maybe 1/4” taller In that picture. Kobe could look a weak 6’5” with Lebron to be honest whereas he looks 6’5” with others. I believe the 6’4.75 or maybe he dropped below by a mm or so. Jordan I would say 6’4.5 tho maybe even a mm under or over

@Junior: I also could buy 6’4.75 max 5 hours out of bed so that would be a better start than 6’5” flat. I think 6’4.5 at a low still but there’s always a chance for 6’4 5/8 at a low. 6’4.75 is still much closer to the truth and that was his initial listing here
Chris Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 31/Jul/19
Rob, so you did feel the low is 195cm for Jordan?

Well it wouldn't be too hard to believe 6ft 4 7/8ths as a possible measurement for him.

@Rob: that wasn’t my intent the video game. I found a pic of Jordan and Starks on the internet. Jordan looks about 2.5” taller when he’s standing in front of him. That’s not 3” flat
Canson said on 25/Jul/19
@Rob and Malcolm Streer: Riley was 6’2”.

@Rob: as for Jordan and Starks: 2.5” is how it usually looks. He only has around 3-3.5 with Larry Johnson and about 3.5 with Anthony Mason

Hey Rob I think 6ft5 is a good listing for MJ. And Rob out of curiosity how tall do you think Pat Riley is? Hes listed as 6ft 4 but looks more 6ft 2.5 now he was probably 6ft 4 in his youth but 6ft 2.5-2.75 now. So Rob, How tall do you think Pat Riley was in his youth and how tall do you think he is now Rob? And do you think you can add Pat Riley to this Site Rob?
Editor Rob
I am not so familiar with Riley's height, but with Jordan I wouldn't have guessed he was over 6ft 3 really

@Junior: Jordan was not 19 when he was drafted. He was 21. He played 3 years in college and was drafted in 84. He was born in 63. Better chance he didn’t grow after as he was an adult
Canson said on 15/Jul/19
@Junior: Jordan is without a doubt over 6’5” peak when he woke up. I would say 6’5-6’5.5 range out of bed. Probably 6’5.25
Canson said on 15/Jul/19
@Junior: I’m not seeing how it’s a myth. 6’4.5 at a low is very possible. And Kobe is not 6’5 flat he’s 6’4.75. Jordan only had Brady by little. 1/2”-3/4”. I don’t rule out a peak 6’4 5/8 for Jordan but 6’4.75 seems too high
Canson said on 15/Jul/19
@Tunman: imho a good listing on the site may be 6’4.75 or 6’4 5/8. Lunchtime height (5 hours out) he may be either of those. Afternoon height would be 1/8” less at 6’4.5 or 6’4 5/8 though. The key factor is that looking close to 6’5” is not hard when you’re wearing 1.25” sneaks and thick shoes all the time. The other is that he did look over 4” shorter than Larry bird and close to 2” less than rodman
Tunman said on 12/Jul/19
Still I think 6'4.75 could fit him better than 6'4.5.He honestly looks too close to 6'5 to be much under it.Pat Riley was certainly not a Jordan fan,but if anything his words suggest that Jordan was indeed measured under 6'5 the question is how much.I mean in that interview he seemed so disgusted so may have tried to undermine him in terms of height by saying 6'4.5(but it could have been anywhere from 6'4.5 to 6'4 7/8).So 6'4.75 could be a good compromise
Chris Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 12/Jul/19
Canson, Jordan was drafted at 19. He had a little potential to grow a little taller. 6'5 is at least a morning height. To be fair for Tom Brady and Michael Strahan being 6'4 a low. MJ stay 6'4.75" and Kobe 6'5 the 6'4 1/2 stuff is myth for both of them unless we met them in real.
Canson said on 11/Jul/19
@Junior: only thing is that Barkley measured 6’4 5/8 in 92 and Kobe 6’4.75. Barkley is also guessed 6’4-6’5 or just 6’4 in person when people meet him. As for Jordan he also was supposed to have measured 6’4.5. But for all of these guys the ones we have specific measurements for Kobe and Barkley specifically, it’s not as right to doubt those as being too low versus Wade or someone else being too high. When someone is drafted there is money and their career on the line. Those are the measurements that I would question. I mean look at Shawne Merriman. We have all but debunked that myth. He’s not 6’4 3/8 or even close. There are others too such as kyler Murray. He is not 5’10”. But I would less likely doubt an Olympic measurement when someone has been in the league for 9 years and they already not only know how he performs but they have an idea of how tall the guy is already. They’re essentially being measured for Sh1ts and giggles versus for their standing in the draft and essentially their careers. That is where the frauding would expect to play in (if at all). But it’s also that those guys were measured at lows. Whereas the others were not
Canson said on 10/Jul/19
@Rob and Junior: Jordan measured 6’4.5 when he was drafted. He’s probably a smidgeon shorter than Kobe
Chris Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 10/Jul/19
Although Canson point out 6'4 3/8-6'4 1/2 for MJ but that is respectively his estimate. I would still go 6'4.75" a low for Jordan and Barkley and 6'5 a possible chance for Kobe Bryant. Kobe's real height has become some myth to go when the few version came out 6'5(late 90s claimed),6'4,6'4 1/2 and 6'6 by his own words and his wife claim to measured him 6'4.75" and 6'6 with shoes on.
Canson said on 9/Jul/19
@Never: his height wouldn’t matter because he was a guard. He was a big 2 guard in his era as most of them were 6’3-6’4 barefoot whereas he was 6’4-6’5 barefoot. I would say someone like Charles Barkley 6’4.5 or Draymond Green 6’5” or Larry Johnson or Clarence Weatherspoon 6’5 and and a bit were truly undersized
Chris Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 9/Jul/19

@Mickie: I have him strong 6’5 out of bed. 6’5.25 maybe 6’5 3/8 and 6’4,5 or 5/8 at a low. He’s probably not over 6’4.5 really. I think Brady is 6’4” flat or at absolute worst if he dips below the mark it’s 6’3 7/8 but not lower on a normal basis
Canson said on 8/Jul/19

Brady measured 6'4 3/8", that was probably a fairly early measurement but I think it suggests that anything below 6'3 7/8" - 6'4" at a low is pretty unlikely (unless it was conducted closer to waking up than I suspect). It could even mean more 6'4" - 6'4.25" - it's difficult to say. I have Jordan more like 6'4.5", probably a strong 6'5" in the morning.
Canson said on 2/Jul/19
@Junior: I didn’t mean that Jordan was that low. What I meant was Jordan’s 6’4.5 measurement would be the same as me measuring 6’4.25 meaning based on time of the day. I would have Jordan at his peak as taller than me. Even if my peak were 193.9-194 I still have Jordan 194.3-194.7 range. I doubt Brady is a weak 6’4. He’s a solid 6’4” Jordan weak 6’5 not dipping less than 6’4.5 probably still or maybe 1 mm worst case today at 56
Chris Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 2/Jul/19
If you bring down MJ at 6'4.25" then Tom Brady needed to drop 2cm down into 6'3.5" zone no arguement for higher. MJ had him by 2cm. The worst i can only think of 6'4 1/2 for MJ and Brady stay weak 6'4.
Canson said on 17/Jun/19
@Junior: I think 6’4.5 would be equivalent to me measuring 6’4.25 meaning his normal low in his prime. Maybe best case he’s something like 6’4 5/8 peak at a low

Drafted at 6'4.5" which can mean MJ had grow taller up to a 6'5 morning measurement and stable at 6'4.75". Sometime i don't think Kobe is taller nor shorter than MJ. Include Barkley they are all big looking 195cm guy might all fall into 6'4.75" a low.
Canson said on 11/Jun/19
He should at least get 6’4.75 since he’s not taller than Kobe although he did measure 6’4.5 when he was drafted

I agree with Duhon on the difference between them but for afternoon heights I’d knock off 1/2 for my estimates to solid 6’5 and 6’4.5 maybe give or take 1/8” on both. Carter to me genuinely looks a textbook 6’5” more so than Kobe or Jordan tho

Absolute most I could buy at his peak is 6’4 5/8 at a low which would make him 6’5 7/8 in b-ball sneaks and near enough 6’6” to look it. 6’4.5 would still make him 6’5.75 or so and that won’t look much different or anywhere in between the two figures.
Canson said on 27/Apr/19
@Jdubbz: I can look at a guy like Carmelo who really is 6’6” range and put MJ’s 6’6 to rest easily. Kobe really can look 6’4.5, like he claims, with Melo
Canson said on 27/Apr/19
@Jdubbz: if he’s met him. But every person who I personally know whether it be in his prime or today says he’s 6’4/6’5” range. I’ve seen a couple people here say he looked 6’5 or a little under but if he’s in his basketball sneaks he will look closer to 6’5 since they give 1.25” he’d be 6’5.75 in them. I’ve seen people on the internet say the same that he’s 6’4 range or 6’5 at most. Likely that he’s 6’5 in the morning and 6’4.5 range at a low 3/8-5/8 perhaps
Canson said on 26/Apr/19

Canson said on 25/Mar/19
@Jdubbz: a lot of people who meet him today still describe him as how he supposedly appeared in his prime. 6’4 and change or “almost 6’5”. Then again I have seen some say 6’4” and some 6’5”. I could possibly say he was something like 194.5 like Barkley peak but today still looks 194-194.5 It’s also possible that his height loss has been very minimal
Canson said on 25/Mar/19
I doubt he’s as low as 6’3.75 or 6’4”. To be quite honest, Jordan appears to have retained his height since his playing days. It’s more than likely that he was never the full 6’5” at his low peak. He may have been something like 6’4.5-.75 range however. He’s likely not over 6’4.5 at a low today but 6’5 range in the morning
Jdubbz 196cm said on 25/Mar/19

Some think Jordan is only 6'4 some say 6'4 1/4 some 6'4 1/2 most say he is 6'4 3/4 and fans say 6'5-6'6. I go with logic if Jordan had a measurement at 6'4.88 (195.3) then he qualify for 6'4 3/4 whether he is fraction under or he is a full 195cm we don't know it. I trust 6'4 1/2 previously but he can look alot like 6'4 3/4 just don't see Jordan lost height yet and he look solid 10cm on 185cm Obama so no point argue 6'4 1/2 while he pass for 195cm.
Canson said on 5/Mar/19
@Christian: I’m surprised too. Even for Barkley, I’m not seeing where he measured that. But I do see where he “officially measured 6’4 5/8” at the Olympics. The sportswriter mentioning 6’4 7/8 “as official” here when he’s also measured 6’4 5/8 at 29 years old in the Olympics makes it more believable which is a crock. But I’ll flip the argument. People always make an excuse about the sportwriter that mentioned Jordan measuring 6’4 1/2 but it’s “too low for Michael Jordan to be” so it’s not accurate because it wasn’t a “credible source”. But because the Sportswriter used a measurement that made Barkley taller, it is more “accepted” and because Jordan edges out 6’4” and 6’3 guys listed 6’5”
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 4/Mar/19

Jordan should at least get a 6'4 7/8" listing, since he was measured that at one point. Rob gave 6'4 7/8" for Barkley so I don't see why he still won't give Jordan the same thing.

Jordan is overlisted if we are going by site standards. Best case if we just go with 5 hours may be 6’4.75 but really he looks 6’4.5 at a low so 6’4 5/8” after 5. Either of those three work better than the solid 6’5”.

@Junior: the highest I buy at his peak is 6’4 5/8ish. Maybe somewhere between 6’4 1/2-2/3. People also must realize that he tends to wear a lot of footwear that makes him appear taller. That’s also not known if he wears an orthotic. It wouldn’t surprise me if I’m in a 1” shoe and he’s in something that gives 1.25 and he edged me out that I wouldn’t assume he’s 6’4.75 perhaps if I’m 6’5.25 in a 1” shoe I would see him at 6’5.75 maybe a tad over if he had an orthotic too. I would automatically assume without looking that he’s around 6’5”. I’m not saying he does wear one definitively but if he does that would put him almost right at 6’6” in sneaks from 6’4.5
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 16/Dec/18
We don't know if Jordan was really 6'4 1/2 today. Drexler I actually have at 6’5 flat and Mullin could be 6’5 or under. He and Barkley looked similar. Unless Barkley had more footwear. If they’re actually the same, Mullin is 6’4.5 too. He looks that with Sprewell who admitted to being 6’4”. Mullin was listed 6’6 when he came in the league. He used to be a guard. He was boosted to 6’7” when he began playing forward

Chris Mullen and Clyde Drexler are on Magic's other side, they appear close in height to each other. Maybe Drexler at around 6'5.5" if he equals everyone else's posture and Mullen perhaps 6'5" - 6'5.25" without his hair. Anyway, both of those guys look taller than MJ.

Go to 6:48. Barkley describes Jordan as having the perfect body and as being taller than himself. He also describes him as 6'6. Now, I'm not saying either proposition is true--he's clearly not 6'6--but Barkley at least at one time believed Jordan was taller than him.
Canson said on 18/Oct/18
@Animus: I’ve never heard Barkley say MJ was taller I don’t think but I’ve heard Jordan say that they roughly the same height before. My guess is both are 6’4.5 at a low. Barkley may lose more than Jordan but who knows. I would have both or at least MJ as

196.2 out of bed
194.3 at a low

Barkley

196.5 out of bed
194.3 at a low
Animus said on 17/Oct/18
He might be slightly shy of a full 6'5. Barkley seems to think that Jordan was taller than him, but he also thought that Jordan was 220-230lbs, so he seems terrible at gauging physical stature. I'll bet a lot of money that Jordan is within ½cm of 195cm. He's somewhere in the 194½-195½cm range, but it's extremely difficult to tell, where he would fall.

Canson said on 10/Oct/18
@Junior: the only time that 2Chainz is favored is when he looks taller than Jordan. Even in the video I posted, Jordan is favored at times and is slightly taller. For most of the video, they can be the same height as the difference between them is the same when Jordan is favored or when 2Chainz. That leads me to believe that they are roughly the same height. Maybe Jordan has 1/4” but it’s also possible that 2Chainz is only 6’4” flat. Jordan looks 6’4.5 with Magic, Barkley, Larry Bird as well as Ron Harper and other ballers I’ve seen him with
Canson said on 9/Oct/18
@Junior: maybe 3/8” but we need to determine footwear. My guess is that there may not be a noticeable difference. Jordan at 6’4.5 and 2 Chainz 6’4.25 is possible. Or the latter may be closer to 6’4”. I believe MJ would be 6’4.5 at a low and 6’5.25 out of bed
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 8/Oct/18
@Canson bad angle in that video. 2 Chainz is closer to camera angle and Duhon post make Jordan closer to camera take a little advantage look like he was easily over 6'5 when leaning. Overall i believe 2 Chainz is 1/2 inch shorter than Jordan if there is a better straight line standing picture to compare their height.
Duhon said on 7/Oct/18
Here is the pic with 2 Chainz who Rob has at 6'4.5", Jordan is leaning in and still looks at least 6'5" Click Here

Here he is with 2 Chainz. Jordan has never been a full 6’5 or even 195. He was at most 6’4.5 at a low at his peak

A young John Cleese could also be taller than Michael Jordan.

@Junior: because of his thick sneaks. Around other b-ball players he looks 6’4.5 honestly esp Larry bird
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 18/Sep/18
Atually Jordan can look a bit over 6'4 1/2. Most of time he look 6'4 5/8 or 6'4 3/4.
Canson said on 10/Sep/18
@Viper: Rob has most of the b-ball players listed 1/2” taller (morning) than they measure at a low due to morning heights. Except Kobe and Bird and KG.
Canson said on 10/Sep/18
@Junior: 6’5.25 prob out of bed (6 AM), 6’4.5 around 2 PM

@Viper: agreed
Canson said on 10/Sep/18
@Brad: you said yourself that he’s a weak 6’5”

Agree with 6-4.5.
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 7/Sep/18
@Bradley MJ probably was 6'5 at 8am, 6'4 1/2 at 8pm.
Canson said on 6/Sep/18
@Junior: my guess is that is his normal low for the day 6’4.5 and 6’5.25 out of bed. In his sneakers he would be close to 6’6” due to the thickness and he has long limbs and good posture which is why he appears taller
Bradley said on 5/Sep/18
6-5 for decades and even now. Rob has him iced like a 6 seconds to go basket.
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 5/Sep/18
@Canson Pat Riley are telling the hard truth. MJ real height affected those 6'5 listed actors which never met by Rob will all be hold on the 6'4 1/2 except for Pete Holmes we all already know he belong a bit under 6'4 1/2. Even many actors met by Rob were strong fraction over listed.
Canson said on 2/Sep/18
@Junior: Manning would at least be 6’5” at a low in his prime. He was measured at his pro day at 6’5 3/8 I believe and 6’5.25 combine. I agree on MJ. 6’5.25 out of bed 6’4.5 at a low
Canson said on 31/Aug/18
@Brad: you said before that Jordan had a footwear advantage on you and that you had him by an inch. Meaning if you are 6’5.5 now and 6’6” then, Jordan was likely a weak 6’5” (6’4.5) all along
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 31/Aug/18
@Dream(5'9.5") Well say Dream. He def get guess over 6'5 all the time. One point to say most of the 6'5 listed actors are not legit 6'5 like MJ too, prob most of them measure 6'4 1/2 and round up. Peter Cambor call himself 6'5 look more like MJ height or lower. I believe on the 6'4 1/2 is a low MJ get. He still look this range alot while Tom Brady is def a weak 6'4 with him.
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 30/Aug/18
Pat Riley said that Jordan was measure at 6'4 1/2 that would put Peyton Manning down at 6'4 3/4 and Joe Manganiello not over 6'4 1/4 or less. Which accumulated out all NBA/NFL and all sportsman measured their height in the morning between 6.30-10am which they're 1/4 to 5/8 shorter than what they all be measured depends on the sleep and the time they get a proper measurement. Added a random example like a unmeasured actor who claim 6'4 and a touch like Jeff Goldblum would be only 6'4 at his low not the 6'4 1/2 peak guessing all over the place.
Canson said on 28/Aug/18
@Dream: I think he would measure that in the AM. Peak height I still can’t see above 194.5 max. Maybe 194.3 (6’4.5).
Bradley said on 28/Aug/18
6-6 in the 80's for me, not much less now. Jordan has been 6-5 for decades, no loss. Worn Chucks area a must for me. His 6-6 fib is typical NBA listing jive.
Dream(5'9.5") said on 27/Aug/18
@Junior

Michael Jordan—even if he was 1/8ths under 6’5”—has a intimidating presence that he could get mistaken for being taller.
Canson said on 25/Aug/18
Lol he measured 6’4.5 so the only way he would be 6’5.5 is In shoes
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 23/Aug/18
Why i always feel that is many 6'5 listed actors look shorter than Jordan. 6'4.88 (195.3) get round up 6'5 but could it be more like 6'4 5/8 (194.6) my guess for MJ. Those 6'5 claim actor most are 6'4 1/2 only a few look to be close to what they claim. One example 6'4 1/4 Armie Hammer look no way 6'5 but still claiming it ever since his Social Network movie appearance. Some are still not nailed by Rob for a downgrade. MJ deserved same listing as Barkley.

Canson said on 15/Aug/18
@Rob: there’s no good reference for a 6’5” measurement either
Canson said on 11/Aug/18
@Gracian: fast forward to 3:03. That’s not even a 4” difference as President Obama is above Jordan’s eyebrows. If Obama was still a full 6’1” at that time Jordan would be 6’4 1/2 like he was when he was drafted. He likely was a guy who woke up to 6’5.25 and dipped to around 6’4.5 at a low in the afternoon
Canson said on 11/Aug/18
@Rob: he obviously is under the mark. He measured 6’4.5 and 6’4 7/8 at two different times. My guess the former is his actual height and the latter earlier in the day. Bird has over 4” on Jordan

I can not understand people who want to argue the zone 6'4.75-5" for him... For me Jordan looks closer to 196 cm than 195 and think that zone 6'5-5.25" is more likely for him. Here's Jordan's full performance next to Obama: Click Here

Rob, thank you for giving Ne-Yo downgrade to 172 cm, but even now Jordan still does not look lower than 6'5" next to him. Rob, what's your opinion about height of Jordan?
Editor Rob
I think Jordan is somewhere close to 6ft 5. I cannot confirm whether he really was measured under it. He might have been, but for the moment 6ft 5 I still think is ok.
Canson said on 9/Aug/18
@Shane: I actually believe he’s slightly over 6’5” out of bed. Going by afternoon heights, he would be a weak 6’5 (6’4.5ish). But if we went by morning heights he’s a legit 6’5”
Shane said on 9/Aug/18
@Canson: I think clarification would help. You accurately stated celebheights uses afternoon barefoot heights as the standard. But then you also said Jordan isnt a legit 6'5". That is true IF ONLY going by this site. But he likely is 6'5" out of bed so in the bigger picture that makes him a legit 6'5" barefoot.
Canson said on 1/Aug/18
Not to mention measured 6’4.5 when drafted as well
Canson said on 1/Aug/18
MrTBlack said it well in a previous post here. Jordan measured 6’4 7/8 in college which is likely a morning height but that still makes him around a weak 6’5 (6’4.5ish maybe 5/8 peak) perhaps somewhere in between since Celebheights is based on an afternoon height. Fact is he is not a legit 6’5” like he’s listed
Mickie said on 31/Jul/18
I tend to considering the measured heights when available. Jordan has been quoted as having measured 6'4.5", and when you really look at him next to other tall guys, it starts to look about right. Larry Bird at 6'9" looked 4.5" taller than MJ.
Canson said on 26/Jul/18
@Brad: didn’t you just say that he was a weak 6’5” on Stallone’s page as you admitted that you weren’t 6’6”? You admitted you were more like 6’5.5 in the afternoon and said several times that Jordan was an inch shorter than you? You even said before that You wore Chuck Taylor’s and pretty much said that Jordan had a footwear advantage on you? That puts Jordan at 6’4.5 like he was when he was drafted
Bradley said on 25/Jul/18
6-6 listed forever, 6-5 reality. Still Six-Five.
Canson said on 21/Jul/18
@Tunman: he does look 6’4-6’5. Looks what Pat Riley says next to Larry Bird
Tunman said on 16/Jul/18
Does he look 6'4-5?Hmmm,maybe more chance for being nearer to 6'5.The thing is that we unfortunately don't have a recording of the 6'4.5"Riley spoke about.knowing that the guy wasn't exactly a great fan of MJ there is always a chance he rounded to 6'4.5" a measurement like 6'4.75"or so.Not impossible. If anything Riley's words suggest a sub 6'5 measurement but again the question is by how much?6'4 7/8"has appeared too often not to have been a measurement but that's only my opinion.
Canson said on 5/Jul/18
@Junior: he def isn’t as low as 6’4”. But 6’4.5 at a low looks accurate as that’s the most common 6’4/6’5 or 6’4 and change. That also explains how he looks “a little under” 6’5 as that’s how that would look
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 5/Jul/18
Strange that i ever read up someone claim he is 6'4 and standing next to Jordan in real say he probably edge out Jordan by like a 1/4 or 1cm. I hope those people can stop those nonsense. Jordan is 6'4.88 and down at least 6'4 5/8.
Canson said on 2/Jul/18
@Christian: really not even 6’5. I think he mentioned that. I think he mentioned 6’4 3/4 too. I think 6’4 7/8 and 5/8 are the two I see and I agree that it would be the lower of the two. Likely that the 7/8 is a morning height of some sort as well
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 30/Jun/18
@Canson

Yeah, if Barkley has four different measurements (6'4 5/8", 6'4.75", 6'4 7/8" and 6'5"), then it only makes sense to go with the lowest one since no one's gonna be any taller at their low than what they measured.
Canson said on 30/Jun/18
I think going off afternoon heights, Pat riley’s Claim for Jordan is believeable which is why he looks “a little under” “almost” or a “weak” 6’5” to most. He would measure 6’4 7/8 or 6’5 if he got measured an hour out of bed like most guys are today. But Celebheights is based on afternoon heights (at least it’s supposed to be). Some guys are listed morning but that’s because Rob doesn’t have anything else to go off of other than another athlete in the same sport who also measured morning. Rob also won’t rarely underlists he would overlist if anything
Canson said on 30/Jun/18
@Christian: Barkley’s 6’4 7/8 measurement is even no more official than his 6’4 5/8” in my opinion. People only take it more seriously because Barkley looks taller next to other over listed celebs and players and because the quote contains the words “official”. Barkley has always been one of the most inflated celebs here in this site. I agree that if Barkley has this then Jordan should get the 6’4 7/8, 6’4.75 (although no direct reference to but he was listed this before), or 6’4.5 since that’s what he actually measured when he was drafted. The thing is Jordan at 6’4.5 is probably his normal low which is why people think he’s “closer to 6’5” since he would measure maybe 6’5.25 out of bed (in my opinion) and be a weak 6’5 for virtually the whole day. People who think him being “almost 6’5” etc don’t realize that 195 and 6’5 won’t look any different (Kobe is a prime example of this) whereas 6’4.5 at a normal low will look “a little under 6’5” not to mention he wears a thicker sneaker often enough
Height said on 29/Jun/18

Obama is a solid 6'1" (185.42 cm) if not a tad taller. My friend has met him, check the photo I posted on his page.
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 28/Jun/18
@Rob

But Barkley's 6'4 7/8" measurement is no more "official" than Jordan's. You even listed Kobe as 6'4.75" which wasn't even an official NBA measurement but a measurement by his wife. It doesn't make sense for Jordan to not get a 6'4 7/8" listing now.
184guy2 said on 28/Jun/18
@Junior
Joe is taller than Alexander , Armie Hammer and Michael Straham , all 193-194 guys so he should be at least 6'4 5/8 . He in fact looked similar to Ben Rorthlisbeger who was measured at 6'4 7/8 in 2004
Canson said on 28/Jun/18
@Junior: That looks max 3.5. I’m not sure if Obama is still a solid 6’1” today
Canson said on 28/Jun/18
1984 pre draft was supposedly 6’4.5. Also saw 6’5 but that was likely rounded up

6’4 7/8 was either at Olympics in 92 or at UNC
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 28/Jun/18
@Canson Thinking of someone like Alexander Skarsgard and Joe Manganiello i don't think they were same height as Jordan. The two guy is in the 6'4 3/8-5/8 zone mid day. Jordan look solid 10cm taller than 185cm Obama. 6'4 3/4 is possible when he stand straight.
Christian 6'5 3/8 said on 27/Jun/18
Rob, you might as well should list Jordan at 6'4 7/8" since you now list Barkley at 6'4 7/8". Both were officially measured at that height.

He looks about 6’4.5 with Obama. He’s favored in the pic but otherwise that would be less than 4” between them. Also looks that way when he’s putting the medal on. People need to remember that not everyone claims a normal low or measures at that height whereas Jordan measuring 6’4.5 would be “a little under 6’5” to some if they had an earlier measurement than him

@Ace: Jordan measures 6’5 in the morning but likely 6’4.5 in the afternoon
Canson said on 20/Jun/18
@Junior: 194.3 and 194.5 aren’t much of a difference. Same case with if he were guessed 194.5 and 195. Only thing I say is that he’s guessed 6’4 or 6’4 and change more often than 6’5” which is why I don’t believe he’s as high as 195cm and doesn’t look that tall in a handful of pics. Looks 194ish a lot esp with Bird

Kobe on the other hand looks 6’5 more often than not which makes me believe he’s probably around 6’4.75 at a low. A guy at 6’4.75 isn’t going to look different than 6’5. And when someone says weak or a little under it typically means the person is around 6’4.5 or 1/2-5/8 at a low as opposed to 3/4” since nobody could tell 6’4.75 and 6’5 apart. Have to remember Jordan wears his thick sneakers more often than not and even in a thick dress shoe he gets 3cm which puts him around 6’5.75 or so and a 6’6” in shoes can’t tel a difference from 6’5.75 and a full 6’6”. They look the same. It wouldn’t surprise me if Kobe also wears thick sneaks often which is why he can look 6’5” or over as well. If we were to redo the measurements in the AM they would probably be 6’5 and 6’5.25 respectively an hour out of bed as I see MJ 6’5.25 and Kobe 6’5.5 out of bed
Ace said on 19/Jun/18

@Height: my opinion on the three:

MJ: 194.3-194.5
Kobe: 195 approximately
Carter: 195-195.5

I would give Ron Harper something like 196-196.5 as he looks closer in height with MWP than those two.

I base mine off lows for the day so I would say MWP is probably 6’5 and change. 196-196.5 at a low and would likely be 6’5.5 or near it for a while during the day
Canson said on 19/Jun/18
@Height: I agree that Carter is likely the tallest of the 3.

I think Vince Carter could be a legit 6'5" guy. Anywhere in the 195.6 cm - 196 cm range.

Kobe more in the 195cm-195.5cm range and Jordan in the 195 cm-195.3 cm range.
Canson said on 14/Jun/18
@Christian: lol I’ve been saying that since I’ve been on this site especially the NBA’s. I have two friends that have met John Wall and both insist he’s at absolute most 6’2” and that’s on a good day. Both say he looks 6’1.5-6’2. Max. Same with Wade he’s 6’3.75 and my former coach told me he’s marginally taller than him and he’d be surprised if he measured 6’3” let alone over it but 6’3” is possible imho max.

Why would they round up 6'5 1/8" to 6'5.5" though? I can see him being measured maybe 6'5 1/4" or 3/8" since they didn't use quarter fractions.
Canson said on 10/Jun/18
@Christian: the two variables with Carter are that he doesn’t have a shoe measurement and two that he might have measured something like 6’5 1/8 early AM. Not to mention, he played the 3 a lot in Toronto. They listed him 6’7” back then but when he moved to the 2, he was put at 6’6”. I can’t remember if they had 1/4” back then and know they don’t do 1/8” even to this day. But also because of how he looks with MJ. He looks taller than both imho. Now to Caesar’s credit Richard Jefferson did say Vince was 6’4 1/2, 6’5 on a good day. I could buy 195 however or at best 6’5” flat. Not 6’5.5 as he’s not as tall as Dr J either in their pics and Dr J was way past his peak in 2000 when Vince won the dunk contest
Christian-6'5 3/8" said on 9/Jun/18

Jordan, Kobe, and Vince Carter are all 194 guys. You can google their picture and see that there's practically nothing between them. Dominique Wilkins is in the photo as well I believe and looks 6'6-6'7 next to them.
Canson said on 6/Jun/18
@Junior: if he measured 194.7, that would likely be closer to an extreme low imho. I used to think Kobe was 6’4.5 as he claimed it once before as well but he often looks closer to 6’5”.
Canson said on 6/Jun/18
@Height: that was actually me that said that not Christian. I don’t think anything is unreasonable per se but I find it hard to believe that he would measure that at a normal low, which is the way Rob classifies celebs here. He’s been guessed by some who meet him who are close in height as 6’4 and 6’5 both. And He measured 6’4.5 before as an adult coming into the NBA. At the end of the day that’s a 0.7cm difference which none of us can see that easily
Christian-6'5 3/8" said on 6/Jun/18

If he grew since his 6'4.5" measurement at the draft, then I don't completely rule out 195 for Jordan, but I know for a fact he's not over 195.3 since he was measured that (6'4.88") once later in his career.

They would look 6’5”. I also see how Jordan has stacked up with other players and how he was measured 6’4.5 when he was drafted
Canson said on 31/May/18
@Christian: unfortunately nothing reputable. I’ve seen it on one of the sites like you posted for the 6’4 7/8 measurement. Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 31/May/18
@Canson One thing we have to suspect was that Vanessa Bryant using what kind of height instrument to get Kobe 6'4 3/4? Because if is some sort of ruler on the wall or height chart wallpaper that paste on wall it may have given a cm more or less and if is a stadiometer we could say Kobe is only 194.7cm because the device give about 1/8 more and if is a measuring tapes then would be most accurate of all. I have the experience measure 1/2 inch shorter from a wallpaper height chart with my wife both at a sports club and that makes us curious of questioning it and when we headed home in the evening my wife took out a measurement tapes and it show a 1/2 gain back compare we measure at the sports club height chart. My point also is Jordan could be taller than you think a min 6'4 5/8 than just 6'4 3/8 that low.

@Junior: it’s funny because I see a lot of pics where Kobe doesn’t look under 6’5” too but that means he likely isn’t under 6’4.75 at a low. Then with MJ he looks “almost 6’5” to many because he probably gets down to 6’4.5 or maybe 194 but no less
Canson said on 28/May/18

Christian, what you said makes sense though because I’ve seen Kobe 6’5.25 by FIBA. So Kobe could be 6’4.75 or maybe 195cm or a hair over and Jordan 6’4.5 or a hair under at a low
Canson said on 27/May/18
@Christian: true. my guess for MJ is maybe he’s 194 barefoot (6’4 3/8) or 194.1 whereas Kobe maybe is a full 195. That makes sense for MJ if he measured 6’4 7/8 since some only lose 1/4” height if they’ve been awake for an hour vs a full cm. That could’ve been the case with him as well. Kobe’s looks like his low
Tunman said on 27/May/18
Rob,since we started using 1/8" maybe it's time to bring MJ down to 6'4 7/8"?

I believe he was measured at that mark,I mean too many sources are specific about the 6'4.88"for it to be fake

If I can find what this original source of 6ft 4 7/8ths was, I would give him it...but I'm not sure where exactly it came from.
Christian-6'5 3/8" said on 26/May/18
@Dream

1cm difference is actually noticeable if you analyze close enough. 1/4" is where it starts to look virtually the same. The pic I posted is about a 1cm difference and you can tell that Kobe has the edge. Click Here
Canson said on 26/May/18
@Dream: they say Kobe was 6’5.25 when he was measured by FIBA. Not sure if that was with his fro or in the AM. The latter is likely. There’s a chance he may get to the 6’4.75 at a low but could be a mm or so over as well
Dream(5'9.5") said on 24/May/18
@Junior I definitely agree that 6’4 7/8” is a great listing for Kobe Bryant.

@Canson actually, my final answer is that Kobe Bryant would be taller than Michael Jordan based on the draft measurements. Like you said, it’s very hard to tell a difference. Like Rob said, 1 cm can really vanish in a photo. It’s like trying to look at the size of tiny pencil leads.
Canson said on 24/May/18
@Junior: the logic is definitely there but only problem is that they don’t do 1/8” increments. But I could see him measure that in the AM and be 6’4.5 at a norm. Agreed on Kobe though. He was 6’5.25 at FIBA I believe
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 24/May/18
@Canson Jordan was probably drafted at 6'4.88" (195.2) it was def a morning 6-7am measurement came down a low 6'4 1/2 and Kobe 6'4.75" was never being verified measured during drafted. I bet Kobe will measure 6'5 1/4 between 6-7am just half an hour out of bed. I still think possible Kobe was 6'4 3/4 or 6'4 7/8 at his low of the day.
Canson said on 23/May/18
@Christian: The thing with MJ is that he measured 6’4 7/8 at one stage but it wasn’t the draft because they don’t do 1/8” increments. That was said to be at UNC then some say the 92 olympics. The latter is possible but it’s likely that it was a measurement early in the day or after he had been laying down, meaning after a nap. I believe 6’4 1/2 for him like Pat Riley said. And believe 6’4.75 for Kobe as he appears it with Richard Sherman. Kobe also stacks up a bit more against Horace Grant than Jordan imho and same with Ron Harper
Canson said on 22/May/18
@Dream: you make good points. It’s often really hard to say who is taller with two guys who are likely very similar in height like these two. I would say a cm, at most, separates them. I would go with Kobe being taller compared to how they stack up next to Horace Grant or Ron Harper. But it’s also possible that if you took a picture of them today that the edge may be more pronounced assuming Kobe may not have lost any significant height. Not saying Jordan has either because he still looks the same but I’d believe Jordan having dipped to maybe a flat 194 today before Kobe losing height. My guess for peak for MJ would be somewhere in the 194.2-194.5 range imho of course at a low. And he’s still likely 6’5 out of bed

@Junior: too bad we can’t see their shoes (at least not Jordan’s shoes) very well. I am curious to see who has the footwear advantage or if there is one. I’ve for The most part had Kobe taller than Jordan. I used to believe similar but now I see Kobe taller than him. Kobe could look an honest 6’5” to tell you the truth but then in other cases he looks 195 like with Jamal Crawford

Of course, There are some pictures that Kobe does look slightly taller than Michael Jordan. (Like what @Junior linked.)

At the same time, Anyone could make a case that Kobe Bryant is taller than Michael Jordan.. Some would say the opposite.

I can only guess. I can be wrong, but that's just my opinion.

I know he’s the Greatest Basketball player of all time but that doesn’t mean he has to have a height “requirement” here. He’s my favorite player as well but I still stand by the fact that he has a 6’4 7/8, 6’4.75 and 6’4.5 measurement and the latter is his low which means that is how he would be classified here on this site. But that is perfectly normal for someone his size. Someone measuring 6’4 1/2 is going to be listed 6’6. I played ball myself and measured in at or was rounded to 6’4 1/2 and was listed at 6’6” in college when I’m actually 6’4.25 at a low. Him being 6’4 1/2 barefoot doesn’t “alter” his legacy one bit like people here think. 6’6 is just a “listed height”

@Christian: Today, i saw the picture with he, Adam Silver, and Steve Ballmer. If Silver is really 6’3, Jordan is absolutely no higher than 6’4.5. That’s assuming Silver isn’t more like 190cm, then Jordan would Barely make 194cm. I can believe Kobe being slightly taller than Jordan as well as he can look 6’5” more often imho

How so? In most of the pics I see them standing together, Kobe edges him by a hair.

Actually, the more I see it, the more I realized he is taller than Kobe Bryant most of the time.
Canson said on 11/May/18
@Christian: agreed! I’m still curious as to when that actually occurred. Meaning was it at the olympics or at UNC. I have heard both actually. I do believe he measured it as he is, in essence, a weak 6’5” even if he’s measuring 6’4.5 at a low. It’s odd to me because of Barkley’s Olympic measurement of 6’4 5/8. I would have them either identical or Jordan a touch lower. My guess is that if this did occur at the Olympics that Jordan got measured closer to when he woke up than Barkley. I could see that measurement being a normal low or close to a low for Barkley (no lower than maybe 6’4.5 at a low for him) but for Jordan it seems high imho. The highest I could buy for Jordan at his peak is maybe the same as Barkley 6’4 5/8 or maybe 194.5 since those wouldn’t look different than 6’4.5 either
Canson said on 10/May/18
@Micky: well said! I think he would measure over 6’5” slightly like 196cm maybe 6’5.25 when he wakes up and around 194-194.5 cm at a low. Maybe he could be a mm or two over 6’4.5 or under but he looks 6’4 1/2. And you’re right people don’t realize how tall that is at a low especially. A guy who measures that at a low will often look 6’5 since I’m sure a lot of guys that are honest 6’5 claimers May measure 6’4.75 or so. It’s also worth noting that he has long limbs and if he’s in his signature footwear he would measure close to 6’6, say 6’5.75. 6’5.75 in shoes will get him 6’5 all day especially since he’s in higher footwear than the avg person would be. People don’t realize that many of these basketball heights are not people measuring at a low. They’re earlier in the day. Nor do they realize that 1/4” increments didn’t even come until late 90s

@Micky: yea that was one of his measurements along with 6’4.5. I think that would be a start as he’s never measured a full 6’5”. He would clear the mark out of bed and be around 6’4.5 at a low however
Micky said on 8/May/18
Perhaps Jordan is a candidate to be listed at 6'4 7/8" like Cam Newton?
Canson said on 23/Apr/18
@Junior: that’s probably fair since they would measure it at some point in the day but if I had to guess the only one who would measure it properly (at a low) is Kobe. MJ and Barkley most likely dip to 194-194.5cm

The description above should mention that Pat Riley said: "Did you know that when Jordan was measured he was only 6-4 and a half, not 6-6 the way he's listed?"
Canson said on 14/Apr/18
@Viper: I see several people years back (10 or so) that have met Jordan on this page and say 6’4.5 or 6’4 and change or 6’4. That’s exactly how he looked to the people I’ve known that have met him. One of them is your height a mm or two under 6’3 at a low and He specifically had both about 1.5” taller than him. Another one that met him is a scout and he’s a straight 6’2 and said Jordan looked about 2.5” taller (2-3” is what he said). He said Barkley was about the same. He also has met Kobe and said that Kobe appeared taller than both Jordan and Barkley and that Kobe looked slightly taller than Jordan in person. He pegged Bean at 6’5”. But a 6’4.75 guy and a 6’5 guy won’t appear any different in person so it’s possible that because Kobe is closer to 6’5” than Jordan that he saw that or there was a footwear advantage. Another friend met Kobe as well and he said “at best 6’5” but looked standing next to him 6’4.5-6’5

Jordan has long legs and broad shoulders and is built like I am. I have the same being 6’4 and a tad. That’s why he looks 6’6” to so many people and a 6’4.5 range guy and 6’5 esp if the 6’5 isn’t a full 6’5 at a low or if Jordan is wearing his thick sneakers will easily pass for 6’5 if he’s 6’5.5-6’6 in sneaks. Half the time people don’t pay attention to footwear from what I’ve noticed and that applies even on this very specific site as the guy that was a bouncer who claimed he met Barkley said Barkley was 6’6”. I think he was full of crap tho and either never met him or he himself isn’t 6’4 like he claims because Barkley isn’t even 6’5”. Or Barkley was wearing some thicker shoes (lift like). Maybe that’s why he appears taller at times. Because in pics where he is right next to Dan Majerle (outside of the all star pic), he is clearly shorter than Majerle and even looks shorter than MJ at times. His own teammates like Dan Majerle Danny Ainge and Mo Cheeks and Joe Klein have all said that. Not to mention a 6’9” Danny Manning towered him.

@Animus: good points. But then saying Barkley is 6’4” I think that’s them saying he’s 6’4 Range not just 6’4 flat. I also say I’m 6’4” and don’t come all the way down to 6’4” flat. I’m some days even 6’4.33 others 6’4.25. And even before I came to the site and realized I varied like I do I thought I was 6’4.5 and still claimed 6’4” some times. Now it’s justifiied but it’s also because I don’t see the benefit in being any taller at the height im at. However even if I were 6’0.25 and 6’1 out of bed I would still likely just say a hair over 6’0”. I just don’t believe in claims.

I believe Riley because Jordan looks the height. It’s hard to tell a diff beteeen 6’4.5 and 6’5 tho. Not to mention he has super long legs for his height sorta like me. I’m guessed taller from a distance all the time
Animus said on 24/Feb/18
I don't claim to know tall Jordan is to within a ½ inch contrary to a lot of people here, but let me play devil's advocate and refer to some evidence suggesting he is close to 6ft5. With Terrell Owens, Magic Johnson and Lawrence Taylor, I think he can look about 6ft5. I admit Jordan also can look closer to 6'4½, but his posture seems extremely variable. Dr. J is supposed to be 6'5½ (I haven't verified his height) and Jordan does seem nearly an inch shorter than him. With Pippen I think he can generally seem 2 inches shorter.

It's hard to pinpoint his height. 6'4½ is the absolute lowest he could be and 6'5 is probably the highest he could be. I wouldn't go below Barkley's listed height on the site of 6'4¾, so either 6'4¾ or 6'5 should be Jordan's height.

By the way, we have no grounds to think Riley is correct in stating that Jordan was measured at 6'4½. Lots of people claim Barkley is 6'4 flat, which is blatantly false.
Canson said on 24/Feb/18
Still agree with what Pat Riley said about him being 6’4.5 barefoot. Others who’ve met him have verified this. He likely is around that mark at night however and an easy 6’5”-6’5.25 out of bed
Canson said on 11/Feb/18
@Christian: agreed! I’ve heard him say he’s similar With Barkley before (6’4 range) but I think that was to show Barkley wasn’t really 6’6” as listed (which most players aren’t as they’re listed in shoes). That’s a lot of why people believe Barkley downplays his height because he makes it a point as do others to reference his barefoot height and possibly even round down a touch at times to 6’4”. Couple this with the fact a legit NBA power forward back then even was 6’8-6’10” usually and he was listed 6’6”. But yea other times Jordan will say he’s 6’6” which to me is a rounded shoe height. I can buy maybe 6’5.75 in a pair of his sneaks at a low and easily over 6’6” in shoes in the morning when he first wakes up. I saw once where he claimed 6’6 1/2. That’s gotta be a morning shoe height rounded up. Lol he basically gave it away tho when he said Dennis Rodman was “6’6 220” lol but maintained he’s only half inch taller than Jordan when it’s clear it’s at least 1.5-2”.
Christian-6'5 3/8 said on 9/Feb/18

Typically basketball players aren’t as tall as they are listed on paper
Canson said on 26/Jan/18
@Johnson: he was measured 6’4 7/8. It’s likley that the heels measured him earlier in the AM. Having played college ball I was measured at an early morning practice before myself like less than an hour out of bed. I don’t think the pre drafts were as early back then as they are now. Or maybe his 6’4.5 was a team workout and they did so in the afternoon. Here George gervin calls him 6’4/6’5 which is what Reggie Miller called Jordan as well as Patrick Ewing. Maybe he peaked at a 6’4 5/8 when he had some hair

If he was 6'4.5 in draft, it is rare that at UNC was 6'4.9
Canson said on 23/Jan/18
@Tunman: Jordan had a thicker sneaker then Michael Jackson. That can account for the 1/4” or so. But the measurement Christian was talking about was actually said to be from UNC not the 92 Olympics. I’ve seen what he said too that it was at the Olympics and I’ve seen where it was at UNC before he graduated. I can buy MJ measuring 6’4 7/8 an hour or less out of bed but evening 6’4.5 normal walking height. I look at Jordan next to larry bird and can say the same as Michael Jackson being 5’9” next to him Bird isn’t just a solid 4” taller than Jordan that looks more. I can see Bird as a full 6’9” peak but MJ as 4.5” shorter. But to be fair a guy measuring 6’4.5 and 6’4.75 aren’t all that much different which is why it’s hard at times to tell Kobe is taller than MJ like he actually is. Phil Jackson also said Kobe was slightly taller when describing them which leads me to believe Kobe may have been a hair over 6’4.75 at one stage like 195.2 maybe or MJ could’ve been flat 194 at a low which is also possibly given I know people who met him and said he’s my height and a poster here Gonzalo’s cousin played pro ball in Europe and attended the 96 finals with Seattle and Chicago and said that all players were overlisted by a decent amount. He said that his cousin at 194cm, said that Jordan was his height.
Tunman said on 23/Jan/18
Yeah, that's why I said he looks not is 6'5.6'4 7/8 and 6'5 is virtually the same thing,I mean it's impossible to tell who is taller when 2 persons are that close.I reckon that a fraction under 6'5 is possible but if you look at footage of Jordan with 5'9 Michael Jackson I don't think there is much less than 8".For some reason the 1992 listings seem honest in many cases, could be that the dudes were measured in the evening.6'4.75" is still my opinion.
Christian-6'5 3/8 said on 21/Jan/18
Whether he's 6'4.5" or 6'4.75", one thing for sure is that he was measured 6'4 7/8" so he's not gonna be 6'5" let alone above.
Canson said on 20/Jan/18
@Tunman: I don’t know. Barkley has said many times he was 6’4.75 and 6’4.5 both and came out 6’4 5/8. Barkley is shorter than Kobe these days and was said to be 6’4-6’5 during his playing days by teammates and coaches and even measured 6’4 5/8 at the Olympics. Knowing people who’ve met both Jordan and Barkley and Kobe too Kobe appears the tallest as they put him around 6’5. But only one person I know has met him. Jordan I know two that have both say 6’4 and change or about my height same with Barkley. 195cm is a bit high for someone to be 6’4-6’5 as they would look more 6’5 like Kobe does. As for pat riley I don’t see why he would undermine him in that way. He’s met him and interviewed him when he called games too. Magic at 6’7.5 is high for a peak height imho. See him next to Kurt Rambis who is listed 6’8 he is shorter than he is and only about an inch taller than Jamaal Wilkes assuming Wilkes really is 6’6 and not less like 6’5.5. My guesses are below:

Jordan 6’4.5
Barkley approximately 6’4.5-5/8
Kobe 6’4.75-6’5 peak
Magic 6’7-6’7.25 peak

Keep in mind for Jordan that 6’4.5 barefoot would get him 6’5.75 min in sneaks so that makes him like he claims “a little under 6’6”. I know myself as I can come to about 197 or slightly over it in a pair of sneaks and my low is 6’4 1/4 at night. But to your credit he would easily clear 6’5” out of bed and would don’t see him under the 6’4.5 peak
Tunman said on 20/Jan/18

If anything he's closer to 6'5 than 4 assuming footwear.I think there is always a chance for him to be 6'4.75".I know that Riley called him 6'4.5" but maybe he's trying to undermine him.The 1992 listing of the Olympics had him at 6'4 7/8" and Barkley at 6'4 5/8".I wouldn't argue anything less for Charles as he looks taller than most people listed at 6'5 on this site,so maybe that source was fair as even Magic Johnson at 6'7.5" is probably the lowest he was.
Canson said on 8/Jan/18
6’5.5-6’6” depending on the shoe. Hence why he mentioned he’s “a little under 6’6” before. But a peak Jordan was probably not much different than Jordan today. Likely was a guy who woke up anywhere between 6’5 1/8-3/8 and went to sleep 6’4 3/8-5/8. Hes always been right around 6’4.5 barefoot
