R.I.P Paul O’Grady.
He was a fantastic role model and he will never be forgotten.

Rob, sadly we lost Paul yesterday
Sad to hear, RIP

Whether Paul appears as himself, oftentimes on animal programmes or as Lily Savage, he’s always a tonic.
I’m watching Blankety Blank, and his double entendres are so rude and funny!
I don’t believe it! 🤣🤣🤣 He’s just asked a contestant if he’s ‘let off’! He added that it’s a sign of old age……
You FUNNY, FUNNY GUY!
Sandy Cowell said on 3/Oct/22
Paul could have been as tall as 6ft3.5/4 with the high heels he wore as Lily Savage!
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 19/Jan/22
While watching Paul's 'For The Love of Dogs' this evening, I heard some good songs. My favourite was the mid-Sixties sing 'Mellow Yellow', by influencial Scottish singer, Donovan.
I looked up his height and found 178cm. Donovan is 75 now. A page for him would be a groove, Rob!
Paul gets 6ft1. 🐶🐕🐩😃👍

may be starting to dip under this now but safely over 6ft...peak no less than 6ft1
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 17/Jan/21
I've been watching Paul when he dressed in drag and hosted a series of 'Blankety Blank' quizzes, which were hilarious.
There have been two female contestants this afternoon and next to him, they looked TINY! One lady was young and the other, not so young. The latter lady was literally inches below Paul's shoulders, and I wondered if he was perhaps nearer the 6ft3 mark.
Silly me! He was wearing high heels!
6ft1 for the animal-loving Paul. X
Nik Ashton said on 29/Jun/20
@ Shelagh - Interesting!
Paul is a cool guy, he cares about animals and people and he is not afraid to show his emotions!
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 22/Jan/20
I think currently 184/185cm range and maybe just maybe 186cm peak. Looked a decent 6ft1 range in the past

One night this week, I watched Paul's 'For The Love of Dogs' on ITV1. It featured a little albino pug-style dog, and his eyes protruded so badly that he needed an operation. Sharon Osbourne popped in and wanted to adopt him, but it was considered unwise for the dog to travel all the way to America. The dog made an excellent recovery and was successfully rehomed.
Another case was that of a white boy dog who was rescued from drowning. The sight of his limp, waterlogged body looked tragic. The little fellow was so traumatized that he was sent on to a quiet rescue centre in the countryside to convalesce because the city noises were upsetting him.
The final story I'd like to tell you about is about a black female Labrador. This rescue dog had been eating things from the floor and she had to be trained not to - by being given a treat every time she walked past a serving of food and then she'd be praised with words of encouragement. I never knew that Labradors were dubbed 'The Dustbins of the Dog World'! 😂😂😹
How lovely that there are people out there willing to devote their time like this. I'm glad that the Battersea Dogs and Cats home is one that I still support. I used to have 10 'on the go' every month, and one which I renewed annually, but finances aren't quite what they used to be, alas. One day when I'm more physically able, I'll take them up again. Most have stayed in contact.
Paul O'Grady has always been such a laugh, right from his Lily Savage days. When he wore a dress, his tall height was FAR more noticeable; he must have had to travel far and wide to find elegant dresses for his 6ft1 + heels frame, unless he had them specially made. I know my boyfriend's girls used to often end up in tears because it was so difficult to buy things off the peg. I believe they settled for shopping at Long, Tall Sally. I hope there are more shops and online facilities to help out nowadays. At least small women can resort to children's clothes. Well, they serve the purpose!
Animal loving Paul gets 6ft1.
Sandy Cowell said on 15/May/18
@ Nik - Yes, he most certainly is, and as with Jackson Galaxy, he cares so much about the animals he sees that he is often moved to tears!
Another great guy, to be sure! 😊🐕
Nik said on 12/May/18
@ Sandy Cowell - Yes, he's a top man!
I like your emojis, and it's great that Paul is height honest!
He gets ... 6'1", like he says!
Sandy Cowell said on 10/May/18
I'm really enjoying Paul's 'For the Love of Dogs' Indian programme! It's a whole new ball game over there, with the rescue dogs encountering different types of hot-weather related problems, apart from the same lack of love that any animal can experience anywhere in the World.
He's taller than anyone I've seen on the programme so far, but it is only half way through and I'm writing this in the break! I can't see any evidence of bad posture with Paul, who must keep fighting fit walking his own little family of dogs he has at home!
I give this kind-hearted animal lover 6ft1. 🐾🐾

Rob, which of these is suitable for his peak?
in the past I would have said there was more chance of B, but when I looked at him I think he was a typical D range guy
said on 16/Apr/17
Rob, could he be dipping a bit below this today?
yeah he could have dropped a half inch at least.
Margaret said on 7/Jan/17
Some one said he was 6' 1" does he do Yoga? I do and gained an full inch in height.

I'm watching Paul this Christmas day on his 'For the Love of Dogs' programme and it is a lovely way to spend a bit of festive time. A mother dog has had 6 pups, the last one to come out of a litter of black puppies was a little pale fawn one! How quaint and what a surprise! Paul has also been spending time with a gorgeous brindled dog with a brown head and two other brown patches and his front legs are both in plaster, the poor thing!
Paul sits on the floor with these animals and loves them all! I think that is fantastic! You kind of get the impression that he would take them all home if he could! I love him for what he does for animals, especially dogs.
I actually thought Mr O'Grady was 6ft2. He looked very tall dressed as his hilarious 'Lily Savage' creation, who I enjoyed for years! Merry canine Christmas to Paul and all the dogs and cats from the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home!🙋
Look Rob, what I inadvertently learnt to do on Christmas day, of all days! 🎍😁🎄😁⛄😁🎅 👏👏👏👏👏 Emojis!!!
congratultions on managing to include those Emoji's 😺 😸

I stood near Paul (about 5-10 feet away) late last year by chance at a station. He looked at least my height or very slightly taller, and I am 6ft. So yeah definitely in the 6ft - 6'1" range, listing is probably right although my opinion is 184-185cm.
avi said on 25/May/14
Yeah something's up with Rich Osman. 6'8 guy. Probably has some condition. Many times its hush hush like in Michael Phelps case. Fred Gwynne also had acromelagy but mild cases.

With 5'9 listed Alan carr
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 8/Jan/14
I'm meant he was originally listed here at 6ft1.5
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 7/Jan/14
Interesting. He was originally 6ft1.5...
Could that have been his peak, Rob?
said on 4/Jan/14
I've got a great idea...let's talk about Paul O'Grady's height!
Rob, could he be 184cm today?
he's getting near the age were he might be losing a little, although still looks over 6ft
Arch Stanton said on 8/Jun/13
Yes, that angle does favour him but he really looks a very strong 6'7" and doesn't look as if he'd measure under 6'7" barefoot even at the end of a long day. It is possible guys as big as him will downgrade. That's just about what a true 6 ft 8 would look like barefoot.
Shaun said on 19/Aug/11
Hang on how can he be 6'1" if Roger Moore is now 6'? Moore edged him out I'm certain of that.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 2/Dec/10
Looks 6"0 flat
Daii said on 30/Jun/09
He looked taller than 5'11.75 Rik Mayall when he was on the show. About an inch was the difference (both wearing formal shoes). 6'1 peak, 6'0 now
Shelagh said on 21/May/09
I know Paul O'Grady SAYS he is 6'1'' - but no way is that true. Just compare his height with his guests'. I reckon he's no more that 5'9'' but looks tall because he's so skinny.
tubbs said on 15/May/09
O'Gradys height is all over the place.......his posture isn't great I think. Sometimes he looks just 6'0", and when Stephen Merchant was on there only seemed 4" between them.He looked pretty much the same as Lenny Henry when he was on, and also looked the same as several other 6'2"ers. I think he is 6'1.5", but due to his posture can look shorter.....
Doug said on 18/Apr/09
I'd go with a weak 6' flat today. You can't have O Grady and Roger Moore as the same height. Moore was taller.
Doug said on 18/Apr/09
He looks barely 6' to me compared to legit 6'1"-6'2" guys. Enrique Iglesias had 2 inches on O'Grady and hes 6'1.5". I would say O'Grady is more likely 5'11.5-6', maybe he's shrunk but he clearly aint 187cm anymore.
anon said on 7/Apr/09
he looks 6'0.5" to me
Alexandra said on 27/Mar/09
Hmmm... it seems to me alot of you watch the pual o grady show. what a coinsedence cause so do i.i think he is 6'0, just my opinion
Anonymous said on 26/Mar/09
He was probably 6 foot to start with then shrunk a bit, i think he's 5'11 now, gotta be, he was 2 inches taller that 5'6 fern cotton who had 2-3 inch heals on, he would clear her by a clear 4 inches if he was the height he's claimed to be, just doesn't add up.
miko said on 26/Mar/09
Just said on his show that he was 6"1 and has shrunk a little bit.
j. said on 24/Mar/09
And 6'2 Russell Brand had nearly two inches on him wearing flat shoes, with Paul O'grady wearing healed dress shoes i really think he may be a six footer or smaller, as i said i always thought he was a lot taller like 6'3 or something.
j. said on 23/Mar/09
I've just saw the Paul O'grady Show and he was looking the same height as Rolf Harris whose like 5'10-5'11, I honestly thought he was a lot taller.
Charles said on 23/Mar/09
looked about 2/2.5 inches shorter than Chris Tarrant, I'd say 6.05 would be more accurate
Scott said on 20/Mar/09
Looked exactly this next to 6'2.05 Chris Tarrant on today's Paul O'Grady show
Marlon said on 20/Mar/09
Chris Tarrent just appeared on the Paul O'Grady show looking almost 3 inches taller than Paul
this site claims 6'2 on Chris so one of these entries must be inaccurate
they were wearing equally chunky footware so I'd say it was a relatively accurate representation
Josh said on 10/Jan/09
If paul o grady is 6ft 1.5 then roger moore must be atleast 6ft 3 and over. I say 5ft 11 for o grady.
Hugh said on 21/Dec/08
Well Wogan is listed as 6ft on this site. Your saying O'Grady was 3 inches taller than him. That would make Paul 6ft3!
I know his height for sure said on 20/Nov/08
Paul O'Grady is 6'1 bang on. He used to come into a pub in London, where my brothers girlfriend was a barmaid. She is small about 5'2 so she asked him his height and he said I'm dead on 6'1" This is a true story!
Rhonda said on 14/Nov/08
o'grady had 3 inches on wogan on his show tonight and if o'grady is 6ft1.5 then wogan is 5ft10.5
Ian said on 10/Nov/08
He had a couple of inches on Bruce Forsyth, when Bruce was on his shoe.
said on 8/Nov/08
Rob, Cam Gigandet is at least an inche taller than Sean Farris in Never Back down when they square off in the carpark and Farris has shoes on, whilst Cam is bearfooted.
But in this interview:Click Here
He is at least 2 inches taller than Grady. If Grady is really 6'1.5 (which I doubt) then Cam must be at least as tall as that and must have worn lifts. Which would also make Sean Farris around 5'11-6'.
Daii said on 30/Oct/08
He looks a strong 6'1 on his show, definitely correct
Paul said on 27/Oct/08
Rob, Paul is definitely not 6'1.5. Did you see the shoes he was wearing in the link I posted...that heel at 04.29 ? They are crazy and even then he was barely taller than Moore. He obviously employed the magic shoes again for Schofield.
said on 21/Oct/08
In this link, Paul looks nearer the claimed 6'1.5 but things are not as they seem...if you look closely the game is given away at the 04.29 mark. (See Rob's section on elevator shoes). To be fair Roger may have had a footware advantage last Friday (although not like Paul O'Gradys in the link). All in all I think 5'11 for Paul. He probably got up to 2.5 inches extra in his special shoes. Roger Moore is maybe 6'0.5 these days.Click Here
G-MANN said on 20/Oct/08
I also caught the end of the show with Roger Moore (only because it's on before The Simpsons, otherwise I can't stand O'Grady) and he did look noticably shorter. I believe Sir Roger was previously measured at 6'1" but at over 80 years old he may have shrunk slightly (although it's possible he's still very close to his peak height)
Henry said on 19/Oct/08
I saw him near where I used to live and where he still lives and though I wasn't really focusing on his height I thought he was def under 6 ft say 5'11
Paul said on 19/Oct/08
I can't believe this one. Roger Moore appeared on his show 17th October on Channel 4 and was at least 2 inches taller than Paul.
Hugh said on 12/Oct/08
He looked 6ft2 in his prime. He has lost height though so around 6ft1 flat now. He's lost an inch and no more. Quite tall.
teri said on 11/Oct/08
he's definatly 6ft 1+ as i have stood right next to him in a wine shop near to where we live.
Alex2 said on 22/Sep/08
Still no Randy Orton???
miko said on 21/Sep/08
He's listed as either 6"0 or 6"1 across the internet. I don't think he is as tall as listed here, but is definatley around 6"0.
I would hedge a bet at 6"0.75.
