I sometimes have the feeling that Robbins has exactly the same height as me, if not a bit shorter but I doubt it because he looks gigantic!!!

Actually I'm beginning to agree with James. A strong 6ft5 for Tim doesn't seem out of the question. Might even have been 198cm. This guy is hard to pin.

I'd give him a solid 6'5. He had a good couple of inches on Freeman and Brown who i think are in the 6'2.5-6'3 range.

Ive said this before but Robbins looked like an absolute tower when I saw him live on tv at a John Edwards rally. The way he towered over everyone I could believe 6-6 for the dude. I dont think hes shrunk at all, since this was recently. Whatever he is he can sure look taller.

He's almost 6'6" tall but it seems that Robbins doesn't care about his height. He's maybe using his lowest height. Maybe he's 6'4 1/2" at night but in the forenoon, he's surely at least 6'5" as mentioned. So taking his height as 6'5 1/2" won't be wrong. That's his true height I guess!

Tim has a pretty big head (well hes a big dude lol). For his closed mouth to be at glens 173cm head, he'd have to be at least 195cm barefoot. I dont see him being taller then vince vaugn, but he could be. Id say 196.5 morning, 195 afternoon, 194 night.

The pic of Gleen with Novoselic is kinda strange... i don't believe Novoselic being that tall next to guys like Robbins or Cromwell (the same happened with Barkley and Novoselic). Krist is around 6'7", not 6'9" or more as the picture suggest. Maybe Gleen has an answer to that...

Cool. And I agree. I think Robbins is between 6'5 and 6'6. 6'5.25 is my guess, if I had to get to the most exact I can think of. 6'7 looks accurate for Cromwell's peak. 6'5 looks right for today.

Films and photos are not always the best way to judge a peson's height. There are many factors associated with movies and photographythat can easily distort the perception of a person's height. That being said, I agree that Robbins has never looked as tall as 6'7 to me. I'd believe 6'6, though, or close to it.

Hes never looked 6-7. The tallest hes ever looked was in Shawshank appearing 6-6. In other movies and pictures he looks 6-5 max.

To my eyes Robbins looks to have a an inch or so on the 6'4'' guy in the photo posted by Ed below. Robbins height is always given as 6'5'' in the press and I think for once they might be right. When your that tall you don't need to add on any extra inches in your publicity bio.

D`Onofrio is very tall too, but even with his cowboy boots, Tim is taller. Conclusion: For me, Tim Robbins is a 6'5"(maybe 1m95)barefoot. (It would be great to see a "clash" with these figures: Robbins, Stiles, Vaughn, Cromwell, Cleese)

I've never bought him as being anything under 6'5". Of course, fractions of an inch are difficult to estimate, especially when someone is skying over everyone. The Andre Leon guy is the first time I've seen anyone taller next to Robbins, including in films.

About Duncan: it was said when The Green Mile was first out, by the stars themselves, that he wasn't really that big and only differed about an inch with Morse. They used camera trickery and some digital trickery to make him appear extremely big. The guys muscles are massive, though.

well isnt it funny that out of all 2350 photos I was only able ot find one person taller then him! Why would he downgrade his height to 6'4 1/2'' if he's 6'5''? 6'4 1/2'', 6'5'' - what's the difference? :) If he was concerned about his height, he'd downgrade by more than half an inch I think.

Well, for some reason people are insisting he's a solid 6'5" or taller, when he's saying that he's UNDER that figure or just barely around it. That's how he is being honest. It wasn't like I had to explain.

Some people who is really tall tend to round there height down. I'm not saying that Robbins is lying, but renember that he has once said that he was also 6 ft 5. And to be honest he looks taller than 194 cm, next to legitimate 188cm guy's like Del Toro.

I think that Robbins may be 6'5" maybe even 6'6"....hard to say. He towers over Eastwood who was once a legit 6'4"...it coould be a "Hollywood" thing where Tim undercuts himself to get more leading man roles. Sounds stupid, I know, but I say Robbins could be 6'5"

Last night, it the Biography channel, was Sean Penn's life. On a picture about Mystic River, I saw, side by side, Tim, Sean and Clint (Eastwood, who directs the film). Tim seamed - at least - 2 inches above Clint. I'm beeing very conservative, it may be 3 inches. The difference was that clear!

From all the photographic material and few movies I've seen of this guy, he strikes me as one long, lean fella. He sure gives the impression to be well above 6'4", possibly even above 6'5" or in the 6'6" range. That last thing might be because he has a rather narrow built. I mean, he's not as massive looking as for instance Rock Hudson was when he was Robbins' age. Hudson had much bigger shoulders compared to the narrowness of his hips, whereas Robbins' more has the physique of a ruler rofl. Either way, if he describes himself as 6'5" on a good day, I think he's downplaying his height by about an inch. I know plenty of 6'5" guys (both my sons hover around that height) and although their built is more similar to Hudson's than Robbins', they usually don't give the beanstalk impression in photos that Robbins does. JMO

Ok. 6'6" is 1.98m. I agree with 6'5". Is realistic and Tim himself mention this figure. But again, the guy is never vertically stretched! Why? Why is he always looking so shy? If he move the shoulders backwards, chest forward, chin up, then we'll be closer to the truth, don't you agree?

I think that this guy should be knocked back to 6'5''. He was in the film IQ with the English actor Stephen Fry who is himself 6'4.5''. Robbins was I seem to recall a little taller. Not by much but you could see a difference.
