I watched the night manager again and the last episode he does a side by side walk alongside Elizabeth Debicki, similar footwear. Hiddleston like myself somehow walking shorter than his actual height. But when they stood at the end, Tom edge her out. Yet on previous episode it was vice versa. It’s almost frustrating XD

It might not seem directly related to height, but Head sizes can play a role in perception of height, so I wouldn't go so far as calling them stupid. What I would call a little bit annoying are comments that are completely off-topic like 'i love her dress/hair/name'.
Speaking of head sizes, I think the comparison I did with Iona was perfect in illustrating how even at 5ft 8.75, having an 8 inch head and higher eyelevel helps the perception of looking taller.

I went to Madame Tussauds not too long ago and found this very odd. I stand at 6' tall and just about 6'1" in shoes. I stood next to Tom at Madame Tussauds in the little Kong Skull Island zone and interestinly enough he had only about no more than half an inch on me. I watched 'High Rise' yesterday. 187cm looks about spot on. He looked that throughout the film - tall, lean and at least 6'1" if not a bit over. Looked just taller than 6'1" Irons in their scenes together. Looks about 2 inches taller than 6'0" Luke Evans at the premiere shots so 187cm fits.
