Tyler himself doesn't look at all unfriendly, does he, here with Rob? He looks like a regular dude with whom you might have a few drinks! I have heard references to his name over the years, but never did I know that he played Michael Myers in the Halloween films!

I read in some interview where he said he slimmed down to 240lbs for Halloween. I would buy 6'7" first thing in the morning. Guys that tall tend to have a natural slouch because they are use to scrunching down in doorways and low ceilings, etc. Probably forget to think about posture on a daily basis. Editor Rob yeah he could have dropped a fraction...it may be hard to tell between Mane/Hafthor who would in fact measure taller, you'd probably need to see them barefeet together, even then it would probably be close visually.

Ali had been awake longer and was likely only a solid 6'6 (6'6 1/8 tops if he were reclined a bit). A medical term gigantic height would be at least 7'0 or more, not 6'8. The vast majority of people with gigantism grow past that mark.
It's gets a little confusing what to label certain heights past 6'7.

That is the model definition of a certain height where someone starts and ends the day at or within a 1/4 inch of the height they claim and are the majority of the day.

I normally start out at around 6'6.75" and then end up around 6'5 & 7/8". I have seen 6'5.5" after a long day, but I think it just depends on the the day. Maybe hydration has something to do with it since I would imagine the spinal disks have a fair amount of water in them.

If you're 190.5 cm out of bed, I'm guessing your normal height is 188, more or less. Not a bad height at all. You should be happy with that. Having a goal height is kind of pointless since you can't force your body to grow as tall as you want it to be. But if you're still growing, then good luck with that.

Ali from looking at the pics of you and mane , I d say mane dwarfed you by a whopping .25 inch to .5 inch. I d say your 6" 7 guess for mane is more than generous. people don't realize how big a legit 6'6 is.. People my size(6'4.5 barefoot) need to stop claiming 6'6 Its getting everbody confused

A genuine 6'5 from my 5'7-5'8 perspective can look quite giant like. A legit 6'4 looks exceptionally tall to me.
6'3 stands out at looking tall but not doesn't give the same impressive vibe that 6'4 or 6'5 guys give to 'me'

Some people have personalities that might make it more uncomfortable being 6ft 4-5 where 90% more people look/notice than if you are under 6ft (unless you are extremely good looking, then the eyeballs noticing you are probably similar to being 6ft 5).

What about the head tilting thing?
Editor Rob as I said it is easier to explain in person when measuring someone, but generally what I'd say is look in a vertical mirror. Tilt your eyes up a bit so they look like they are near the top of your ear. Now tilt your eyes down so they look in line with the top of the middle opening part of your ear. That's a bit too high and a bit too low...it's kind of between those so your eyelevel looks a bit above the start of the ear opening but obviously not as high as the top of the ear.

And unfortunately, I have lost height. I used to measure consistently 5'10 1/8" in the morning, but today, I average at 5'9 3/8" to 5'9 3/4" (with one 5'9 3/4" measurement last month). I account this real height loss to both heavy weight lifting since age 11 and poor posture over the years. While it's easy to fully blame it on G, I'd rather take partial responsibility ;-)

No, I did not have a problem standing straight. The disks in my back were just that compressed from wearing a ballistic vest and heavy belt with a bunch of stuff on it. Now the belt itself shouldn't have affected that since it sits down on the hips, but the vest would contribute to it.

to get a perfect photo is very hard because you'd need to put the camera at 5ft 8 high so there would be no advantage to a taller person. It is easier to look at someone like Baba who is nearer in height to Mane to see there's not much difference.

Of course, it's really hard to see someone who is taller than him and ,if you add the fact that he's very thin, he can easily pass for 6'7+ to people!

Tyler Mane is a legit 6'8". I'm 6'4" and he towered over me when I met him. He's a huge dude, very lean. One of the nicest celebrities I've ever met. Top shelf guy all the way. Same with Derek Mears. These two guys are their listed heights here.

@RobV Probably because being so tall is a large part of the identity of a lot of very tall guys like Mane, especially considering he's an incredibly tall actor. A height of 6'10 rather than 6'8 sounds larger than life tall. I imagine in his teens he probably had an issue with being so tall, probably going around claiming 6'5 range.

I agree no 6'5" guys look as tall. The challenger 15 picture puts into perspective how tall a legit evening 6'5" is. Then again, I don't think his photo should be used as a catch-all for how a 6'5" guy will always look. There are variations in footware, posture, head tilts, camera angel, etc that come into effect in other pictures. I do think it's a useful picture to keep in mind. Do I think challenger 15 would edge out Ken Kirzinger? I could believe it, but then again I could also see them being even. Kirzinger looked 6'5" to me, or close enough that I believe there's a good chance he'd measure it. Challenger 15 looks 197 - 198 cm to me in the photo, but we know he's more like a legit 196 cm. For what it's worth I think Joe Manganiello is probably not quite a legit 6'5" guy (but likely over 6'4" flat).

Rob, I never use the “ruler” to measure head length in full body shots since to be technically correct, the ruler would have to be scaled so that each increment is largest at the level of the camera and then smaller above and below that level. The ruler method is still very accurate in assessing overall height (I’ve done this for countless NBA players whose heights we know). The 6’3.5” challenge guy comes out at about 6’3.5” as well, unless you’re assuming the gap from his eyes up is abnormally large. My point again is that your two pics with Challenge 15 guy are misleading as to his actual height and therefore tend to screw up comparison photos. Maybe a new photo is in order if possible.

Editor Rob some shoes might give about 0.7-.9 range, so it won't be a huge difference from where your eyes look when he's barefoot.

Editor Rob shooting portrait can sometimes add height, other times maybe not. With the challenger I was using a lens and putting Jenny in a position so there was minimal distortion in the vertical distance.

Is Tyler Mane's 6'10" claim really that crazy Rob!? Is it completely off the table and unarguable!? I mean, the Top of Mane's Head looks easily over a Foot Higher than yours Rob (like 14 inches), just draw some horizontal lines on the picture! I'm thinking Tyler Mane could be close to a Weak 6'10" early in the Day, and probably close to a Solid 6'9" by Late in the Evening, his Height should really be at least 6'9"! In my honest opinion 6'8" seems a tad too low from looking at the above picture!

Editor Rob I think giving him 6ft 8 is fair (the point is that raising his eyes up just helps make it look more)...there is always a chance Tyler has lost a fraction I guess like similar guys in that age range and height, maybe like big Nash aswell...

Yeah I'd go a full 6'5" for Kirzinger, somewhere between 6'4" and 6'5" for Joe M (weak 194 - legit 195 cm range). Mane looks pretty close to 6'8" here. I wouldn't rule out 6'7" and change, mostly because of the Ali Baba pics, but he's definitely looking about 6'8" with Rob.

Editor Rob remember Tyler's eyelevel is raised up an inch so his head reduces in size and his chin is 1 inch higher than it might normally be...

I think when you get to around two metres it gets harder to guess because of the height difference when people are looking up.

Editor Rob Cudmore really isn't far off Mane. If there is more than 1 inch between them I'd be shocked as in person there wasn't more than a 2 inch difference (considering Cudmore had 0.4 in less than me and Mane has 0.6 in more than me)
