I doubt Kwouk was ever over 5'6". By Last of the Summer Wine, 5'7" Brian Murphy had at least two inches on Kwouk, and there was only a two year age gap between the two.

No more than 2 inches between Kwouk and Sellers, in fact at times it could look 1.5 inches. Kwouk might have been a stronger 5 ft 6. The average guess is actually over 5 ft 7!

Rob, could Kwouk please be added to the Bond Actors tag?

Rob, who would you say was taller at peak, Graham Stark or Kwouk?

It’s interesting how although Kwouk looks closer to Sellers’ height in A Shot in the Dark than Stark did, Stark is noticeably taller than Kwouk in the final scene of Son of the Pink Panther. Moreover, Stark was almost a full decade older than Kwouk, so you would expect Stark at 70 to have lost more height than Kwouk at 62 in the latter film and I’d be surprised if Stark was ever anything over 5’6” at peak.

I'd go with Stark

There seemed to be less of a height difference between Kwouk and Peter Sellers, as opposed to Graham Stark and Sellers in A Shot In The Dark. However, in Son of the Pink Panther, older Stark seems a tad taller than Kwouk, Roberto Benigni seems taller than both Kwouk and Stark. In Last of The Summer Wine, Brian Murphy was taller than Kwouk. I would currently go with 5’6.25” for Kwouk’s peak but I have not dismissed a flat 5’6” nor 5’6.5”.

5'6 may be okay next to 5'7.75ish Sellers. no way Sellers was over 5'8

All I can find is Click Here Sellers is leaning a little but Kwouk wasn't much shorter. I think the height difference between Sellers and Graham Stark was greater in Shot in the Dark, Stark could have been 5'6".

Sellers definitely didn't have 2.5 inches on him, If he was just a flat 5 ft 6 peak then Sellers was nearer 172cm than 174. I'd upgrade Kwpuk by half an inch and downgrade Sellers by half an inch, that would be nearer I think, but your call, Kwouk is 83 years old now as I say...

Rob I was about to request this, I didn't realise you had a page for him already. I've been watching the Pink Panther films last few days and he's about 1.5 inches shorter than Sellers. They're involved in a lot of close combats of course and are often close and Sellers had between 1 and 2 inches between him. I watched Revenge of the Pink panther yesterday and my feeling was that if Sellers was 5'8.5" he was about 5'7". I'm not really convinced on 174 for Sellers, I think he looks more a flat 5'8". 169-170cm I'd say is accurate peak. Remember he's the same age as Connery and Eastwood and 83 this year, so quite reasonable that he's lost 2 inches from peak and now 5'5". I'd guess 173cm for Sellers and 169cm for Kwouk peak.

as mentioned, I was not sure on this guy's peak...in the summer wine, really does look short, so maybe not lost a great deal and was always shorter than his claim
