Still easily over 5'11..

NOWHERE near 6'0" or even 5'11" as the poster below said. Here he is next to Jimmy Kimmel at 8:20 (about 2" shorter than him): Click Here

He looked 5'11-5'11.5 range with Jimmy Kimmel last night.
MJKoP said on 18/Oct/15
Easily six foot one in the BTtF flicks. Doc's trademark slouch was imposed upon him by directors, solely for the purpose of fitting him and J. Fox into the same shot!

5'11 with Josh as well. 181cm is more likely now.

Arch Stanton said on 22/Sep/15
Nothing under 6'1 peak.
Judd ISR said on 20/Sep/15
Rob with you, considering his shoes advantage of one quarter of inche, he seems more 5'11.5"...

He could have been 6'0.5" or even 6'0.75" as peak and 5'11.5" today?
[Editor Rob: today I think nearer 5ft 11.25 range could be possible.]

Rob , what you you guess his weight doing Back to the future?
[Editor Rob: maybe near 170.]

@Trent To be double fair he might have lost a fraction of height even then and Wilson was most likely at his peak.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 10/Mar/15
Wilson claimed 6ft2 but is listed 6ft2. He could near 6ft3 beside Lloyd
james said on 9/Mar/15
He was a solid 6'1 at his peak .I've watched bttf 3 he and 6'2 Thomas f Wilson are about the sane height

As I believe someone pointed out in this thread, Lloyd, as "Jim" on TV's "Taxi" once stated- on that famous episode that took place at the DMV ("Slow Down" LMAO)- his height at 5'10". Now granted, this was probably similar to Woody Harrelson as Woody Boyd on TV's "Cheers" stating his height at 6 foot, and similar to Ray Romano on TV's "Everybody Loves Raymond" stating his height at 6' as well- just served the purpose of the written episode of that series. Now let's all assume Lloyd is over 5'10", I just don't see him (even at peak height) at a solid 6'1" with no shoes on- maybe 6'-6'0 1/2"-?? There was a movie I saw him in with 5'11" John Ritter, and he looked about an inch taller, however if memory serves correct, he may have had cowboy boots on-?? And FTR- here are my estimates for the cast of "Taxi":

Judd Hirsch- 5'11" (sloucher, so may have appeared 5'10" in spite of his 6' official height)
Tony Danza- 5'9" (looked closer to his official height listing [at one time] of 5'10" on TV's "Who's The Boss" since mostly surrounded by women & children)
Jeff Conaway- 6'0" (character Bobby Wheeler usually had boots on and big hair which may have made him appear 6'1" or 6'2")
Andy Kaufman- 6'0"
Randall Carver- 5'8"
Danny DeVito- 4'10"

He looks about 4" than Rob and Jenny. I think he's 6' now and possibly 6'1" in his prime.
Judd said on 15/Dec/14
in the addams family series he looked something like 2-3" shorter than Raul Julia...for sure he's character (fester) required a terrible posture, because he's hunchback, but i think Lloyd was however shorter than Julia by more than a flat inche...
If Julia was 6'1.75-2", then Lloyd was 6'0.5" (for sure) or maybe 6'0.75" when was young, but not a flat 6'1". Today he could be in the 5'11.5" range.
Oanh said on 26/Nov/14

Rob , did he or Michael Biehn look taller in person?
[Editor Rob: I felt was similar to cumberbatch beside the photographer, very close, but a slight edge, Biehn was very close to photographer too, but had a bit more hair sticking up. That was over 6 years ago with Lloyd though, so another bit lost by now is very likely. ]
Arch Stanton said on 17/Nov/14
@Rampage. I stood about 10 ft away from him in California in the summer of 1997 and he looked solid tall range back then. 6'1" peak is fair.

Given his footwear, I reckon Mr Lloyd is 182 cm at best.
Judd said on 6/Oct/14
For the most of his career he looks taller than a 6' one. In the family Addams's series he looks much taller than Raul Julia (6'1.5") because he isn't straight with his back...he has bad posture because his carachter (fester) is hunchback...
I think he was no less than 6'0.5" (with a good chance of 6'0.75") during 70-80-90's and today he's like 5'11.5".
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 5/Oct/14
I'd argue 6ft0(184cm) lowest at peak...
miko said on 21/Sep/14
He hasn't aged much in about 15/20 years!

He's likely slipped below the 6'0 mark now though. Weak 6'1 peak.
danny185 said on 23/Jun/14
that's not a proper 6'0, really 182, tallish guy
PPS said on 2/Jun/14
In the second series of Taxi as Reverend Jim, he refers to himself as 5 ft 10. It seems unlikely that an actor of 6 ft 1 would do that, or that the others should all agree with him...
Greg said on 20/May/14
is 6'0 exactly
mike said on 20/May/14
Rob, why don't you downgrade him to 181 or 182?
[Editor Rob: yeah he could be 5ft 11.5 nowadays]
mike said on 18/May/14
181-182today 184-185 peak IMO.
Alex 6'0 said on 9/May/14
His peak was 6'1 or very close. Today looks 5'11.5 with Rob
[Editor Rob: yeah today he could be that, actually my pic was 6 years ago, I think now at 75 he could have dropped another fraction.]

Santa Barbara or Santa Monica pier, can't remember which one it was, it might have been Barbara, one of them. Don't remember much about the place except the filming and that their pizza sucked!
Arch Stanton said on 26/Jul/13
Full 6'1" peak in my opinion. Watch him barefoot next to Vincent in Cuckoo's Nest. 3 inches shorter roughly. On my mother's life I saw him on Santa Monica pier shooting My Favourite Martian in June 1997 and he looked noticeably tall I thought at the time. See him also in cowboy boots and a hat in Back to the Future III , gives the impression of 6'3"-6'4" in that film with the boots and hat.

Apparently whilst filming BTTF he had to crouch in certain scenes with MJF, looks slightly under 6ft, but no shorter than 5'11, considering he's in his 70s now thats a good height.

182 cm now

Connor 184cm said on 2/Jan/13
I dont know rob i think christopher is 6ft rather than 5ft 11.75 he looks 4 inches taller than you in the top left hand picture.
Trent said on 28/Dec/12
To be fair they both had cowboy boots. In this pic here Click Here
I could see him maybe 1.5 - 2 inches under.

Thomas F Wilson has claimed 6'2 and 6'3, and is listed 6'2.5 on this site, so let's give him that. So from looking at him with the Doc I would say Lloyd would have been 6'1 or maybe a bit under.
Arch Stanton said on 26/Dec/12
In the fight scene interestingly the Doc looks a good inch taller than 6'3" Mad Dog, although his posture isn't great. but as I say in some scenes the Doc could look very tall and near 6'4". 6'1" add cowboy boots and the hat and long western coat and his build and long face I think which made him look as tall as that in the third film.
Arch Stanton said on 25/Dec/12
Strangely looks 6'3"-6'4" at times in Back to the Future III. Must be the effect of the cowboy boots, hat and long coat.

Trent said on 2/Dec/12
I'd guess around 5'11.5 considering the 1/4" sneaker advantage. He has quite a high head so you could be thrown off at first. I haven't really looked at pics of him at his peak though.

There is absolutely no way he was 9 inches taller than Michael J. Fox in the Back to the Future series. They looked basically the same height.

I hope you're joking, he still clearly owns MJ even today.

Mmm with MJ stood on the DeLorean maybe. I saw him in June 1997 on the pier 10 ft away from where I was standing and he was surely at least 6' back then.

184 peak, 181-182 now

I just watched back to the future, he still gives me a 6-1 impression at least even though he was slouching so much with Michael J. Fox. Mostly because of his slender long body. I dont think hes quite 6-2 though.
Viper said on 14/May/07
He does look 6-1 to me.
phil said on 14/May/07
definatley at least 6'1'' maybe even 6'2'' but he is pretty slender. I met him in person on the set of a tv show he was doing in 2004. I have a picture of me and him if I can find it..
Alex P. said on 15/Mar/07
Yeah, in the commentary on the Back to the Future DVD, they comment on how Lloyd (whom Bob Zemeckis and Bob Gale describe as 6'2"-6'4", but this is probably their overestimation) would voluntarily slouch himself down to fit into the same frame as Michael J. Fox, hence the great job of making him look shorter.
Alex said on 21/Jan/07
He's def 6'0 plus. 6'1 wouldn't suprise me. Today he must have lost at least an inch of height.

Jason said on 5/Mar/06
Hulk wore massive ''space boots'' in Suburban Commando.

I've met Lloyd and he's about six feet.

The 6'1" is an interesting call. There's an episode of "Taxi" where Lloyd's character is taking his driver's exam. When he gets to the height question, he says, "About 5'10"?" His cohorts respond, "Good. That's good." Should that be taken seriously??????

With all the flap over Hulk Hogan's height, go to "Suburban Commando" and compare the Hulkster to Lloyd. If 6'1" is accurate, then Hulk is in the 6'5" to 6'6" range!
