Yes, Lyndhurst, First time I saw only fools I thought he was 6'4, very lanky, his skinny built gives it off more too and Jason who was 5'6 peak, 5'5 now, I rember he had interview ages ago now and they asked his height and he said 6 ft plus, and also has said he is 6'2- 187-189cm.

Lyndhurst is 6'2, He looks so tall because Jason is only 5'6, nowadays 5'5 and is so thin so gives off a taller impression, I am the same height as Lyndhurst- 188 and people say I am tall but not lanky as I am heavily built, thinner guys look taller as they have better posture and give it off that way. Rob c'mon how can he be exactly the same height now as he was in his twenties? 5'5" now maybe but I think you should list him at 5'6" peak at least. I'd say 5'6.5" peak. James says on 15/Jan/10
Watching an episode of Only Fools and Horses now, the thing that strikes me about Jason in contrast to Lyndhurst is how well-proportioned he seems: given that Rodney's lanky frame sometimes makes him look 2-3 inches taller than he actually is (6'1, 6'2), Del Boy can occasionally make a convincing 5'7 or even 5'8, except when he's on screen next to other similarly tall males (Trigger, Boycie.) Obviously the guy has shrunk with age, so 5'5 isn't out of the question for him now, but I can easily believe 5'7 or 5'7.5 in his prime.
On a slightly unrelated note, Jason's character Granville in Open All Hours is actually based on my dad. FACT! My surname is Gravil (very close to Granville - in fact it used to be spelled Graville), and Roy Clarke, the director who penned the series, lived on the very same street in Doncaster as my father when he was growing up, and was closely acquainted with my grandparents! The Granville character is based on my father's eccentricities as a young man (mainly his boyishness and naivete); he even LOOKS a bit like my dad, albeit smaller. Likewise Hyacinth Bucket, from Keeping Up Appearances, another Roy Clarke show, is based on my grandmother, who was lower-middle class and lived in a terrace but liked to pretend she was royalty. (For the curious, you can see the street from which Roy Clarke got so many of his ideas on Google Earth: just look up King's Road, Doncaster. DN1.)

So many peeps state his height as if they actually 'know' how tall he is, when all they've probably done is google it! And most of those sites got their 'info' from a single source 9whatever that is!) The only ones who know for sure are the man himself, his nearest & dearest, people who have worked with him in some capacity - certainly no-one else.
As for the waxwork of him - Tussaud's are renowned for a good few poor representations ( Click Here) which means, they don't always get it right. He certainly LOOKS short, & that's all anyone who doesn't know the man personally will ever know... Anonymous says on 24/Nov/09

Lyndhurst is on record stating 6'2". Jason claims 5'6" now, but on 60's tv show Don't adjust your sets, was billed as 5'5". 5'4.5" is nearer to the truth. Chris says on 19/Sep/09
The way Lyndhurst's character was in only fools, it gave off the impression he was taller than 6'2, like 6'4 etc, He was often reffered to for his height like in the holiday episode where they thought he was a 14 yr old, a giant one, He looks a good 6'2, He was under the doors but a standard door in UK is about 6'6. matt says on 11/Sep/09
I always though Nicholas Lyndhurst was 6'4 when i watched only fools and horses, it was the best ever, He wasn't as tall as the doors though and he is listed as 6'2 on everything, David Jason is around 5'5 these days, he is a legend. Daii says on 20/Aug/09
A fantastic actor and has influenced me on comedy greatly. British comedy wouldn't be the same today if it hadn't have been for the likes of Only Fools & Horses. Anyway, Jason looks to be about 5'6 in his prime, which was around the 80's I guess. Always had to look up to Lyndhurst (Rodney) who I'd thought was always a good 6'2. In frost, he's always appeared about 5'6 too. And by the way, average males in the UK are 5'8-5'9 and not as far as 5'10. gcm says on 13/Jul/09
I've seen him listed at 5'6" and even 5'7" but that's way off. This listing at 5'5" is much closer but I really think he's no more than 5'4". I've been watching him for a lot of years and you rarely see anyone who isn't noticably taller than him. The guy who played Boycie (John Challis) has at least an inch more over Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney). Nicholas being 6'2 must mean that John Challis is at least 6'3, and he does look it standing next to most.

Im a big fan of OFAH and have to agree with the previous poster Lyndhurst looks about 6'0 compared to the rest of the cast, he is atleast an inch shorter than 6'1 Jim Broadbent and definitely shorter than Boycie and Trigger, he's just very very skinny and David Jason is very small so this gives the impression of Lyndhurst being a 6'2+ bloke, David Jason is certainly no more than 5'6 possibly 5'5 Hugh Grant says on 8/Apr/06

Yeah, Nick is 6'2, he's always looked shorter than Boycie, played by John Challis, and Challis is down at 6'1 on here. Also, Trigger is taller than both of them, I reckon about 6'3.5, and Jim Broadbent, whenever he was in Fools and Horses as Slater was around the 6'1.5 mark.
