Also, forgot to mention, the nortern part of Croatia is a bit shorter. The average height for males 20-40 years here is 5'8 ½ or 174 cm.

@Slim 6' Yes around those numbers, I'd say 186-187 cm is low tall/tall range, 182-183 cm high medium, 179-180 cm medium range and 176-177 cm low average range and 172-173 cm high short range. 190 cm + is very tall and 168 cm or less very short.

@Roger: It's amazing how tall the males from the Dinaric Alps are. 185 cm for males is just crazy. I think the dutch average is actually 182 cm not 184 cm though. There were other cdc studies showing that number but if you have any more info, I'd appreciate it.

Thought he came off a tad shorter as well in Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. However, by Tilda Swinton and Raymond J. Barry in The Deep End, I think looks pretty close to the 6'4" as he did in what little I saw of ER.

Goran stepped up beside me at a magazine rack at LAX, I looked over, and then up, right under his sunglasses. I would say 6'4 is accurate. He is extremely handsome, breathtaking. He looked down at me and I felt like I should say something. I introduced myself and offered my hand to shake his. He said "Goran". I said I enjoyed his work, he said thank you. I didn't want to call attention to a celebrity, and he seemed cold, so I left it at that. Of course I am used to Scott Bakula, who after meeting him twice, remembers me by name and gives me a hug at each successive meeting.

Croatia by far seems to have the highest proportion of 6'4" or 6'5" guys I've ever seen. In Dalmatia they are even taller than the Dutch, average is 6'1" in southern coastal Croatia. A great number of Croatian sports stars are in this range. However on average in Croatia average height is actually only around 5'10" and the men are much shorter on average in Zagreb etc. But southern coastal Croatia is very tall but even 6'4" is noticeably tall.

Most men here Croatia are between 5' 9" (175 cm) and 6'1'' (185 cm), altough there are plenty that go beyond that (the average height in this country is pretty high). Visnjic with his 6'4'' (193 cm) is extraordinary tall even by Croatian standards :)

In the 1900's this was the other way round, so yeah, you could say american men have become shorter. Possibly due to food / lifestyle.

I'm 191cm tall and also from Croatia.There were 6 guys in my highschool class. Four of us were above 190cm, one was 184cm, and the last was 185cm.None of us was playing basketball or something like that...I saw Visnjic many times and he is 3-4cm taller then me.Cheers!

In comparing his height to Wyle's, he only looks 3-4 inches taller, that being said, if we know so many heights are false on E.R...let's get into the women's heights! Goran doesn't even stand tall on the show, and still looks more than a foot taller than most of the women on the show. Even while he slouches, virtually none of the women even reach his shoulders. I definately have a hunch (pardon the pun) that Linda Cardellini, Maura Tierney, and Parminder Nagra are closer to 5 feet than 5'3" that all of them get generously listed as. While Wyle might be wearing lifts, or standing on a crate, he certainly doesn't appear to be dwarfed by Goran though, who I do see being a solid 193-194 cm standing tall. I wonder what the secret of Croatians is when it comes to height!
In comparing his height to Wyle's, he only looks 3-4 inches taller, that being said, if we know so many heights are false on E.R...let's get into the women's heights! Goran doesn't even stand tall on the show, and still looks more than a foot taller than most of the women on the show. Even while he slouches, virtually none of the women even reach his shoulders. I definately have a hunch (pardon the pun) that Linda Cardellini, Maura Tierney, and Parminder Nagra are closer to 5 feet than 5'3" that all of them get generously listed as.
