Lol, she isn't German, shes an american reality show, no one in her family is german, you're proberly getting her mixed with heidi klum, the german/american model?

If looking at German American men's height than 5'8" to 5'9" seems to be the average range. I see more German Americans 5'7" or shorter than 6'2" or taller. Maybe German Americans or mostly from the southern regions such as Bavaria, and Baden rather than the northern regions such as Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein. I found statistics on the internet that showed a 10 cm or 4 inch height difference between these regions that I mentioned above with the north regions at 182 cm to 185 cm average and the south regions at 172 cm to 175 cm average. The tall white american men seem to be of British, Irish, or of Scandinavian ancestry. Most of them averaging in the 5'11" to 6'0" range with more 6'2" or taller than 5'7" or shorter. Other European Americans seem to be on average either slightly above the German American men's average height such as the Polish American men or slightly below the average of German American men's height such as the Italian American men. Average height in america is shrinking with the large increase of Latinos. Alot of Mexican American men are 5'4" or shorter and their population is increasing rapidly in the United States.

Probably the easiest way to think of it is that most US Men are between 5'8" and 6'0" That range will vary region to region around the world.

@Saribird

I agree. I've been to Germany and the guys in that region was mostly in the 5.8-5.9 range.

@ Larry: German guys are not all tall, although I'm positive on the asshole thing ... just joking ;) I'm German, 5.9 is a very common height for men here in Germany as well.

I never thought Heidi was only 5.2, but then again, I've never really taken more than two seconds to look at her. It's just not worth it...

I feel ya man, 5 9 is the an odd height (I'm also 5 9 at the moment yet still growing apparently); it's probably so weird BECAUSE IT IS THE AVERAGE yet despite that, we have a tendency to NEVER see anyone our height! Sound familiar? I know I suffer from the same thing, I look around and it seems like so many guys are so much taller than me, in gym and everywhere else, but at the same time, all guys either seem much taller or shorter! It is the weirdest thing, so depending on the setting you're either the tall guy or the short guy. But when it comes down to it, there may be more times when you are the "short guy" in the group cause all your buddies are 6 ft plus, but that does not make you short. You're only short in comparison to the other people immediately surrounding you at that moment, but trust me 5 9 is by no means "short" by universal standards. Yes, some asshole German guy might look down on you, but to real short guys, 5 6, 5 5, 5 4 down to 5 2, you are a giant, and they would kill to be 5 9. So at that height, i really don't think LL surgery is appropriate or worth the money/risk (believe me I've considered it too) and it's especially hard for me because my twin is 6 1 and my dad is 6 2, and my mom is 5 4 so there is no apparent genetic reason why I am 5 9 (the shortest guy in the family). But the doc has said I do have some growth left even though I'm almost of drinking age, and said I have at least a half an inch to an inch more to go, in which case I'd be ecstatic! But seriously even know with the right shoes and just small lifts, those can help tremendously and will get you close to the height i assume you wanna be (close to 6 ft) no it won't make you 6 5 if thats what you're looking for, but then i don't know why you'd want that. But a 5 2 guy can't where lifts and make him the height he'd want to be, so LL surgury is really only appropriate in my mind for really short guys who are very uncomfortable and unhappy with there height. But stick with lifts and bigger shoes and you'll be fine :-)

@linke

depends where you are. 5.9 can be short in some demographics and tall in others. I've been places where everyone was at least 6 ft and some 5.6 is the norm.

I have heard her, and others say she's 5ft1

She's pretty short for a german woman. She looks tall in pictures. Probably like Bo Dereck.

bk I will freely admit to desperately wanting LL surgery. If I had the dough and was anything beyong middle class, I would o it. At only 5-9, I feel and look incredibly short for a guy, esp. next to the other guys at the gym.

I can't understand how that's short considering that's the American average, also the fact you hve some self-esteem issues that need to be fixed..not "LL" surgery which will show complications in the future.

WHAAAAA? this made me laugh like hell ...
she MAY be 5ft. 1 in. with 6 inch shoes on ..
she is nowhere near that tall & it is an incredible amount of work to 'shop the legs into every foto ..
her neck must also be 'shopped in ..
her once pretty face is now tremendous & with the very tiny legs together with narcissistic disorder , extreme competitiveness & jealousy ..
this is a trainwreck about to happen & the fact that they will never work again validates this ...
sadly , i doubt one person on this whole planet will miss either of them ...
uhhhhhhhh byeeeeeeeeeeee.....

linke, i was thinking the same thing. she had like 10 plastic surgeries in 1 day, so it wouldn't surprise me if she became self conscious about her height.
amy says on 6/Dec/10
she's not pretty at all, and she looks 5 ft 7 haha
linke says on 6/Dec/10
I wouldn't be surprsied if she goes for limb lengthening in future.All that beauty neo is surgical.
