Marion Ross was there because she was in his short-lived show Brooklyn Bridge. Rob, I don't think Marion has shrunk to 5'3. In this pic with Michael J Fox Click Here , I'd say that without the slouch she would be 2 inches taller in heels. If he's around 5'5 in shoes, she'd have to be getting 4 inches out of her heels if she's only 5'3 barefoot.
