I stood to Thurston Moore once at a show in Brooklyn as we were both getting drinks at the bar. He is tall! I'm 5'7 and I felt like a little kid next to him. I was with my boyfriend who is slightly over 6'2 and Thurston Moore obviously had a good 3-4 inches on my boyfriend. I believe he is still a strong 6'6.

His first name is one letter out of one of my German second cousins, which is Thorston, and he was one of my Mum's favourites second nieces/nephews.
He'll be grown up now, but nowhere near the 6ft6 that Thurston is! My German side for male height is decidedly average, but I hear I had a tall great, great Grandmother, which could be why my Mum grew to 5ft4.5, her Mum and Grandmother being only around 5ft/5ft1.
I'll keep a look-out for super-tall Thurston. I have heard of his musical group, Sonic Youth, which makes a change for me, as I'm usually in the dark with today's groups. I've noticed how the Chasers on quiz show 'The Chase' keep up-to-date with that sort of thing! Well, you never know which questions might pop up, do you? 😲🎼🎶
