American football Quarterback for New York Jets. His combine measurement was 6ft 2.75, but my belief is that measurement was taken quite early in the day.

@Viper: This is true about von. I have seen von being listed as 6'2.25 or 6'2.5. According to the NFL, they measured at the same 6'2 5/8 inches at the combine.

The 6’2.75 combine listing for Tebow is hard to believe. I tend to think the nfl combine heights are slightly rigged. I don’t think Tebow was ever over 6’2” honestly, and I’m not trying to hate on him. I love the guy.
In the video with Goldberg, they are the same height, and it’s a fact that Goldberg is under 6’2” today.

I agree with Rob that the 6ft2¾ was likely taken some time in the morning...wouldn't be right to list him at that but 6ft2 flat might be undercutting him as well. I reckon he can at least stay just above that at his low

@Viper: I don’t get it. The Senior Bowl used to be much more reliable in terms of determining an afternoon height. Now Senior Bowl measurements are early morning. That is a normal afternoon height for Cousins as he’s 6’2 5/8” at the combine. That aligns perfectly as he would’ve been 6’3 out of bed 6’2 5/8 an hour or two hours out of bed and 6’2.25 in the afternoon/evening provided no extreme low driven activity. Cousins could measure 6’2.75 after 1 hour or 6’2 5/8”. So now we know that Combines are typically around that timeframe

I am probably gonna get called a downgrader for this, but I think Tim Tebow is 6-1.5. The only thing holding me back from saying 6-1 flat is the measurement, which I guess is in shoes, or with sock lifts. Viper is right on this one.

6’2.75 wouldn’t be a few hours after waking. Combine measurements are typically an hour after waking tops. It’s possible for him that he laid down before being measured to get back to his out of bed as he doesn’t look more than a flat 6’2” meaning 6’2.75 out of bed

@Shane: a normal loss under normal activities for me is something like .75” to 2cm Max. 6’5 out of bed or a mm over and 6’4.25 afternoon height hence why I claim 6’4” although I do come down to 6’4” flat or a mm over at an extreme low. So perhaps a solid inch for an extreme low which doesn’t happen often
@Shane: a normal loss under normal activities for me is something like .75” to 2cm Max. 6’5 out of bed or a mm over and 6’4.25 afternoon height hence why I claim 6’4” although I do come down to 6’4” flat or a mm over at an extreme low. I have personal experience with the 5 day event...3 day event 20 years ago...now 5 days. All weigh ins, height measures, wingspans, hand measurements ...are taken by two individuals (physicains or physical therapist) and observed off to the side (2'-3'ft away) by 3 other individuals who confirm the measurements & weigh-in...All meaurements are read out loud (twice) & recorded by 32 different individuals (one representive for each franchise)...I do agree, Tim's & most of every players heights are taken in the early morning. Starting @ 9am...And never later than 11am. My group all got Out of bed @ 6am-6:30am, in order to eat the catered breakfast @ 7am. If your are saying Tim's morning height is 6'2.75" (peak) height & that his evening height is 6'2.25"..? Then, I totally agree 100% with you. Since all (men) in good Health shrink about 1/4" to 1/2" during the day in our 20's & 30's...maybe more as we age & reach our 50's & 60's...70's ?? Just to clarify my previous comment, Bryant and Rodgers were measured 6'1.5 at their pro days. So it is plausible that they both lost half an inch between their morning combine measurement and afternoon pro day measurements.

For example apparently Dez Bryant and Aaron Rodgers are actually 6'1 1/2 but are both listed 6020 per nfl draft scout. Tony romo is also listed 6020 per nfl draft scout. Obviously he is not 6'2.

Saw him on the Golf Channel and he was a full 2" shorter than host and former PGA player Charlie Rymer. Charlie is listed at 6'4" and he has stated that he is in fact 6'4". Tim is no taller than 6'2" max.

Editor Rob sometimes there might be cases where a player's height is taken down wrong. Think about thousands of measurements over several years, there might be the odd mistake here and there.
Either that or he got up late and measured not that long out of bed.

It may just be the angle, Seahawk. That said, I said it before, but when he was on Jimmy Fallon's late night show, last year, he literally didn't look anything more than two inches taller. It was odd. Maybe, Jimmy was in lifts, but he's routinely not looked more than a flat 6'2" to me.

Ive seen differences up to a half inch but out of the ones I looked up I'd say about 40% differed from the Combine measurements-Just to give you a few names-Tony Bergstrom,Kirk Cousins, Audie Cole,Tj Graham, Cam Johnson. Actually differences of 1/8-1/4 are not uncommon at all, but the majority are correct within .25 of an inch. However I still believe Tebow is 6'2.5" at least
