I think most K-Pop fans think Jaehyun is shorter than 180. His proportions can make him pass for it but there have been evidences showing him shorter than quite a few idols like Doyoung, Minhyuk or Hyunjae. That pic with Rosé also proves it.

Charlie and Jungkook seems very hard to peg them both. But Charlie definitely has at least 1.5 inches on Jungkook, excluding footwear. About footwear, I think Jungkook has a bit of a thicker shoe. My point still stands, Jungkook is 5’8 max.

Jung Kook and Charlie Puth were standing back to back in an MV! Pretty good shot of them together for height comparison at 0:32 (for footwear), 1:20 and 1:37 (standing back to back). At 0:32 we see that Jung Kook has boots on, while Charlie has some platform dress shoes on. Jung Kook most likely has insoles in as well so there I’m guessing either the footwear equal out or Jung Kook has a slight edge. How tall would you say Jung Kook is when standing back to back with 5’10” Charlie Puth?

I guess RM is a solid 179, could be closer to 180. Jin is probably 175 or a fraction over. V is 173-174. Jungkook and J-Hope both 171-172 with Suga 1-2cm shorter. Jimin is 168 at max, probably closer to 167.

@JJV guesses seem fair for the most part, I wouldn't go as low as 5'5 for Jimin but I think 5'6 could certainly be the case. Other guesses seem accurate. As for V, he always appeared taller than 5'8 but if we take angles and footwear into account I can definitely see him falling into the 5'8 territory comparing him with the other members.

Wang leehom's entry should be changed. Its well known that he's anywhere from 175-177. No way above 178.

He looks the same height next to 174 measured show lo and 5 cm shorter than 180 cm measured li siyu.

It’s the camera angle. Nevertheless, he looks 5’8 max there. Jungkook is one of the idols who I think is actually shorter then what people think. For instance, in the 97 line collaboration of the idols, he looked at least an inch shorter than Bambam, who I think is 5’9 flat.

I mean rose did look a whole inch taller than 166 cm measured hyeri (her doctor report says 167) so 168-169 isn't too far off.
And frankly 175/176 is just a single cm, kinda hard for me to tell Jaehyun's height especially since there is still a noticable height difference between Jaehyun and Rose. That being said, jaehyun uses insoles all the time and only looked an inch taller than mark max. And mark looked about an inch taller than yuta in the barefoot pic although yuta was slouching a bit.

Depends on how much Biden has shrunk too, especially at his age. My guess is he is 5’11.5 at most now, probably 5’11 3/8, or closer to 181cm. RM is 5’11 at most, with Jin and V being 5’9.5 at most. Jungkook is no more than 174cm, J-Hope no more than 172.5 and Jimin and Suga no more than 170.

You can tell that their shoes are elevators, almost high heel looking dress shoes. Ex : The timestamp of 1:15 Jin's shoes have massive heels. There's other moments in the video where you can see V's shoes looking boosty

Definitely seeing minimum 2 inch difference between Biden and V/Jin...
while taking account of Jin's and particularly V's footwear - they both have these tilted thick heels

V has a slight angle advantage in the first pic because's he's closer to the camera. Evidently, I think these pictures with 5'11 1/2 Biden and a slight shoe advantage of V and Jin give me conclusive estimates that these guys are absolutely not 5'10. V is 175.9cm and Jin is 176.5cm, these I think are the most fair estimates I have.

J-Hope, Jimin, Suga, all 5'8 or lower. Jimin is 5'7.

Seventeen’s height claims are somewhat bizzare for some members. S.Coups and Jeonghan are listed at 178, while Joshua is listed at 177, however, Joshua always edges them out? Hoshi is also listed at 177 but he is edged out by the other three. The8 is listed at 178-179, while edging DK (179) and Vernon (178).

It's crazy how BTS got very popular. I remember nearly 8 years ago, my sister was playing BTS - Boy in Luv in our car. I'm from the Philippines, and at the time (2014), I'd say BTS enjoyed some decent popularity, but they were nowhere as popular as they are now. It's not even comparable really. My sister even attended their Red Bullet concert in Manila in 2014. At the time, their concert tickets were very affordable as they weren't that big yet.

Tzuyu looked 166 there. Jeongyeon is 167 and she if we exclude footwear she would still be taller than Tzuyu at that time. Somi looked 168-169, and I think she is a 5’7 flat now. She looked slightly taller than Daehwi who claims 171 but looks more 5’6. Some girls hit puberty earlier than others.

I think Hyunjae might be closer to 177-178cm (he looks like a solid 5'10 to me next to 6' Younghoon.) I think Juyeon's 180.4cm claim might be accurate, depending on the time of day. He edges out 178-9cm Jungwoo. New and Sunwoo's 178cm claims always seemed really sus to me lol (Sunwoo's significantly shorter than 176-7?cm Hwiyoung.) They definitely seem more like 173-4cm range. Agree for the rest.

As for Jisung, I'm not against the idea of him being shorter. He definitely looks it at times. My question is just how do you explain his 179-180cm measurement on camera? (in the same vid as Sungchan).

idk he measured that on camera and it looks like he was barefoot. Based on the video, I'd say 178 maybe 177 minimum for Jisung, depending on the time of day he was measured. Also, I might peg Jungwoo at 179-180cm rather than 178cm. He doesn't look much taller than Jisung and he's in a similar range to Lucas who I'd peg at 181cm ish.

Well in those photo’s Jimin clearly has the camera advantage. He’s standing more in front of the others and the camera angle is one where it is closer to him and than to the other members. If the camera was directly in front of all of them as a whole, and no one was standing closer to the camera, I’m sure you would see the height difference.

I do find it interesting how close V looks to Jin’s height in that video with both being barefoot… but I think it had to be camera angle. V is notorious for wearing shoe lifts while I have yet to see Jin ever wear them. Typically it’s just Jung Kook, Jimin and V who wear noticeable shoe lifts.

I did say that, but did you watch the video I linked with the timestamp? Jin & V look identical barefoot, side by side. V definitely wasn't as tall as Jin before 2019, but starting in 2020, his footwear and everything he just looks a lot taller now, even barefoot. Maybe you're right though, and I'm going to consider his identical height moment with Jin just an angle perspective or maybe Jin was slouching.

Jungkook claimed he was 179cm with shoes. Most regular shoes add an inch to height, so it is impossible for him to be more than 176.5cm. However I've never seen Jungkook wear normal shoes, he's always wearing shoes that give him way more than an inch height boost, more than 2 inches so I think he is comfortably 174cm barefoot. Rob, you would also be 179cm if you wore the shoes Jungkook does.

Didn’t you used to say V was a flat 5’9? Because that’s more likely than 5’9.5. That height is probably the highest I’d go for him, but he has looked under that sometimes. I feel like Taehyung has become more self-aware of his height ever since 2020 (around this time, he made claims constantly saying he even grew; his profile changed his height from 178 to 179 to even 180 then back to 178.8). Now he’s looked to insoles and camera tricks (standing closer to camera) to give off a taller impression. It also helps that more than half the group is shorter than him.

Similar to that, the height I’d go for others like Jin, Jungkook, J-Hope is a half inch above where I normally have them at:
Jin 5’9.5, 5’10 at most
Taehyung 5’9, 5’9.5 at most
Jungkook 5’8.5, 5’9 at most
J-Hope 5’8, 5’8.5 at most
But yeah, I can see why you would’ve thought they were 5’10 range, though Jin pulls it off more than V.

V might need an upgrade too 5’9.5. At the 3:15 mark, all the members are barefoot side by side and he looks the same exact height as Jin, if not maybe a fraction taller… Idek anymore their heights are way to confusing. If it weren’t for RM being an honest 180, I probably would’ve given V and Jin solid 5’10 but next to RM they’re always struggling to reach that. Any thoughts on the video?

Based on the picture of Jay, Sunghoon and Yeonjun, Sunghoon does edge Yeonjun by a little bit despite the camera angle. I think 178-179 is accurate for Sunghoon.

Yeah, I'd give Lay solid 5'7 barefoot, which is insane because he's "officially" listed as near 5'10 which is unrealistic. If I had to guess all of their heights,

It’s crazy honestly, because Lay got measured at 5’7 in a store and Baekhyuns “real” height is 5’8 but Lay somehow edges him out in every photo. D.O and Xiumin have the trickiest heights to be to honest. I’ll upgrade them to a strong 5’5-weak 5’6

I would like to add something too, Giselle looks around 4-5 inches shorter than Taeyong who is a weak 5’7, and Karina doesn’t look a lot taller than her. I think Giselle is around 5’3, with Karina being an inch taller max. Based on that picture, Jungwon does look around 5’7.

Yujin got measured at 168.5 at 2018 when she was around 15 which is when most girls reach their final height. It is very likely that she had already stopped growing. I'd think 5'6.5 is pretty reasonable.

Wonyoung does look around 170 next to 178 range sunghoon.
Meanwhile Yujin looks a bit shorter

Sunghoon got measured at 177 at 16 and looks 178-179 next to Wonyoung, that is where I got my calculations. Jungwon does look more than 2cm shorter than Jay, who is of similar height to Beomgyu. Jay is a lot shorter than HueningKai too.

I think Taehyun grew since that BigHit picture. He looks very close to Beomgyu’s height nowadays. I think he is definitely in the 5’8 range, and would appear the same height as Jungkook.
Also, seems like Taehyung and Jin had thicker insoles than Yeonjun in that picture, maybe that’s why Yeonjun appeared in the 5’9 range. I think he is a weak 5’10.

Where did Sungchan claim 182cm? He said he was a bit taller than Lucas who also claimed 182cm, so if SM was logic, his claim would have been 183-184cm. Also, he was 19 so he couldn’t have grown 2-3cm in a year.
Either way, he looks very close to Johnny’s height and sometimes even edge him, so 182-183 might be more accurate.

The shoes give jungwon a 2-3 inch advantage. Take out an inch for wonyoung's shoes (they have a tiny heel in the end)
and wonyoung looks about 2 inches shorter than jungwon.

So by this calculation, wonyoung is probably 5'6' range as well. Imo, jungwon is probably wearing additional insoles because I think she's a strong 5'7

He was listed as 182cm around debut: Click Here. Idk if he actually claimed that himself besides saying he was taller than Lucas tho. Later, he was listed at 185cm. In this clip, he claims 184.8 (1:36) and is measured on camera at 187.7cm (5:04), so it seems his claim was pretty accurate (tho idk what time of day he was measured at). As for Johnny, yes, Sungchan edges him out by a cm or two: Click Here and Click Here. Given Sungchan's measurement, I'd peg Johnny at somewhere between 183cm and 184cm. They're def close in height tho.
