I reckon that the band Atomic Rooster gives Alice a good run
for his money in the creepiness stakes!

Thereโ€™s a song on Aliceโ€™s album โ€˜Welcome to my Nightmareโ€™ called โ€˜Stevenโ€™ about a little boy, and itโ€™s really quite disturbing. ๐Ÿ˜•

When I first had the album on vinyl, there werenโ€™t any extras, but there are now, including another track with Vincent Price narrating. I believe itโ€™s on โ€˜Stevenโ€™.

Miss Sandy Cowell said on 15/Apr/22
Actually, the vagrants were described as โ€˜chronic schizophrenicsโ€™ so I tried to do a bit of analysing as to what might have been happening to them, figuratively speaking, of course.

Yes, untreated schizoids hear voices, so maybe the voices they were hearing, and the dreams they were dreaming, were all geared towards the coming of the โ€˜Prince of Darknessโ€™. Even the studious people, including members of the clergy, were having the same dreams. It was referred to as โ€˜the brotherhood of dreamsโ€™ and is just the sort of thing to have scared me senseless had I seen this movie as a teenager, ie the arrival of anyone evil, as foretold some 2,000 years ago, in Jesusโ€™s time.

โญ๏ธ There was a lad on The Chase just now getting loads of questions right, and well ahead of his young age. He pressed the buzzer to answer who Vincent Fernierโ€™s stage name was, but his mind went blank. I bet he really knew, so impressive was his knowledge!
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 11/Apr/22
Last night I began watching the film โ€˜Prince of Darknessโ€™, which stars Alice Cooper as a vagrant, an โ€˜empty vesselโ€™, who can sense that something bad is about to happen and isnโ€™t afraid. He DOES look taller than most of the other vagrants, but having said that, many of them are women.

Early this evening, by a touch of coincidence, I was poking and prodding about with a long stick to retrieve some CDs which had fallen behind a large bookcase. One of them was โ€˜Welcome To My Nightmareโ€™, by Mr Cooper himself. Iโ€™m listening to it now, and very impressed with some bonus tracks, which are live versions of featured songs, and to my mind, superior to their original counterparts.

You can buy Alice Cooper concerts online and the one I have is fantastic. I think that acting came naturally to Alice, when you see the performance he gave onstage.

Miss Sandy Cowell said on 23/Mar/22
Iโ€™m listening to โ€˜From The Insideโ€™, and itโ€™s really quite sad - and shocking.

Iโ€™m just glad that Alice gave up self-destruction.

I've recently been getting seriously into The Crazy World of Arthur Brown and band member, Vincent Crane, who formed Atomic Rooster. The latter band I saw in the winter of 80/81 at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon, and Vincent Crane, the organist, and singer, John Du Cann, were completely mesmerising.

I was bowled over the other evening when I found that Arthur Brown has played onstage with Alice. When I examined Arthur's stage make-up, I thought, "Wow! Alice was very much influenced by Arthur, in the make-up - and the shock-effect - department".

Arthur, dubbed 'The God of Hellfire' after his record 'Fire', from 1968, performed the song with Alice and his band. I reckon the 79-year-old dances like a flame! ๐Ÿ”ฅ He used to perform onstage with five foot flames and a helmet with enormous flames spurting out - so original!

5ft9.5 for Alice. ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ‘Œ๐ŸŽถ

โญ Actually, there seems to be a slight difference between Alice and Arthur, Arthur being that bit taller. Look out for The Crazy World of Arthur Brown's 1968 performance of 'Fire'. It's just so freaky! Furthermore, there are at least 2-3 videos on YouTube of Arthur and Alice performing together. Check them out - you won't be disappointed! I'd like to know if Johnny Depp has performed onstage with Arthur at one of Alice Cooper's concerts....๐Ÿค”

Writing on Sebastian Bach's page as I did just now jolted my memory towards the fact that Alice's current guitarist, Nita Strauss, who is 5ft7, really IS related to Johan Strauss! How's that for an interesting bit of info, people?

Nita is very pretty and sexy and loves cats. Perhaps she could be given a page on Celebheights at some stage. She's 34 years old.

I saw a fantastic and lengthy interview of Alice the other day celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the release of his creepy album 'Love It To Death', which was released in 1971. I didn't get into it until 1982, and I reckon it's still among my favourite albums of his. I recommend 'The Ballad of Dwight Fry'. ๐Ÿคช

Hey Rob! Is there a chance that Alice could be a full 5ft 10 in his prime? In 1992, he could have looked as tall like 5ft 10 next to Catherine Zeta Jones: Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here
Alice's shoes and Catherine's heels: Click Here Click Here
Catherine was only 22-23 at the time and Alice 44. In 2003, Alice, alongside Rob Zombie and Cassandra Peterson, could also appear to be around 5ft 10: Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here Click Here
Zombie was then 38-39 years old, Cassandra 52 and Alice 55-56 and I think that at that time he might not have lost anything noticeable yet. Of course, Zombie's footwear looked very large back then and Cassandra was wearing heels. Rob, maybe a 5ft 10 as peak height for Alice would be a fit well list?

Alice appeared on 'The One Show' ๐Ÿ“บyesterday, and he talked about giving tap dancing a try since the lockdown, having never tackled that type of dance before. He admitted he didn't get very far and that he misses playing golf.

I reckon he must be super-fit to even try that style of dancing. However, I can't see it working terribly well at his shock/rock concerts somehow, but you never know; he is original enough to try anything! ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ‘น

@ Arch Stanton - Alice is indeed very cool, and anyone wishing to find out the history behind his stage name will know that he named himself after the last witch to be burnt alive in America. He is also an actor, and the film I thoroughly recommend is 'The Prince of Darkness'. He plays a minor part in it, but the film itself is excellent. The main star is Donald Pleasance, and I thoroughly rate him. He was a workaholic, and took on nearly every part offered to him.

Alice can have 5ft9.75.

Has anyone seen 'Prince of Darkness'? Alice plays alongside Donald Pleasance and Victor Wong and the film is FANTASTIC! Alice also starred in 'Suck' and a film called 'Lemmy', so he's a prolific actor as well as a singer.

I got into his music at 18, but was aware of his genius at 11!

It's been many years since I saw it...but I do remember Pleasance looked like 4 inches taller than the actor victor wong, I've yet to add him.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Alice Cooper and I really like his music! I think, however, that it's time for the peak height and current height for him, because today he is 70 years old. Here are his photos alongside Cassandra Peterson and Rob Zombie from 2003, Zombie looks like a taller than him but he is wearing very massive boots:
Without these massive boots, I do not think the Zombie was taller than Cooper. I also looked at Cooper in recent years and I believe that he has already lost some height. These photos of Alice Cooper alongside Marilyn Manson date from 2013:

I also saw him next to Johnny Depp and Joe Perry in 2016. Cooper still looks considerably taller than Perry, with a poor posture he can look the same height as Johnny Depp or even a shortet than him. However, with a little better posture he still seems to be a bit taller than Depp. Here are their joint photos from 2016:

I believe that his peak height was 5'10" but today when he measured he would probably reach 176 cm so therefore 5'9.25" is what he looks like today. Please, Rob, give him a peak height and current height.
Editor Rob
Today Alice might be around 5ft 9 flat, I asked a friend who met and got a photo of Alice and Johnny Depp (in Glasgow when they were playing with their vampires band) and she thought both were taller than me. I was more astonished she paid for the 'vip meet and greet' ยฃ1000 than the 'revelation' that Depp actually looked 5ft 9 range.

I suppose Alice at times in his 30's and 40's could seem over 5ft 9.5...his footwear though might have helped that.

In his heyday, I swear Alice Cooper was 6ft. I'm 99% sure
I saw the heights of the whole band in one of their album sleeves and Alice was 6ft, honest!
It makes sense that he'll have lost more height than many after the rock'n'roll lifestyle took its toll, though I understand that he has now settled for healthy and sober, so good luck to him!
One of my favourite albums of his was one he wrote while drying out called 'From the Inside' - the songs are incredibly deep, soul-searching and quite, quite beautiful!

6ft is laughable. Not one site on the web lists him as that tall.

He was noticably shorter than me but he had kinda bad posture so I guess maybe he could have been 5'9.5 if he stood up straight.

I haven't seen many concerts, I admit. But I did see Cooper a few years ago here in Des Moines, IA. And, in his late 50's, the man kicked as$. Sounded as good live as on his records, and that's rare. NOBODY sounds as good live, usually.

Around '73, Alice and Don Powell (Slade drummer/gum-chewer) looked like the same dude. Thought they were same height, but Don is at least 2 inches taller.

Ha. Alice once described Neal as "6'6" with really long arms and legs."

Alice himself seemed 5'10" to me, though I could be off.

Former Alice Cooper drummer Neal Smith was, in his own words, "about 6' 3"

he looks a solid 180 with anton but he isnt standin straight enough,as for aj mclean , i really think u should add him rob not cos of popularity, but one reason i think you'll like, which is that he always surprises me height-wise,sometimes seeming a tad taller that the short backstreet boys(brian and howie), and i swear sometimes almost reachin nick carter's height with seemingly normal shoes!

...A.j. Mclean is never 5"9' or even 5"10'... he likes edgar allan poe and horror music... how tall are the other backstreet boys?...

Sorry, "Glenn," but the case is not closed.

I'm thinking you have Alice right at 5'9.5". Here he is with the 5'11" Susan Anton at a celebrity pro-am golf tournament (they are very likely to both be wearing golf shoes!). He does look about 1.5" shorter than Anton.

I met Alice this summer and I have picture of him beside me.I am 6.2 and Alice looks to be more than 5foot9.5.He had normal shoes on.Looked to be around 5.11.Think his hight on this site should be adjusted. He is taller than 5.9,5!

Met him last night and had a a couple of photos taken with him after the gig. We both had similar boots on. I'm 5'6", I wouldn't have said he was more than 5'9" - I'll look again when I see the photo's
