My dad is 5'11 and mother 5'3 and I ended up 5'8. My mother brothers are 5'5-5'7 and my father is the tallest member on his side, the rest of them are 5'9-5'10 for males and 5'4 females. So parents height isnt everything when predicting child height. My brother is 5'7 also, no tall genes for us despite tall father.
jordydecke said on 30/May/18
This is interesting - as his father is around 5'11 and as his mother isn't exceptionally short (5'4 being around average) - are we expecting Brooklyn to hit another growth spurt to beat his father' height and maybe hit the 6 foot barrier?

Seems unusual that he hasn't - unless the men on Victoria's side of the family are all short?
Conan said on 25/May/18
I'm 5'9.97" (177.7 cm), approximate 5'10" (178 cm) out of bed, so Brooklyn Beckham is shorter than me few milimeters, I give him 5'9.75" (177.2 cm)

I was already 5'9.5 at that age.

I saw him recently with his father, david seems a weak 5'11" these days and brooklyn looked at least 2 inches shorter. I'd say he"s around the 174-175 range. Not a bad height, but his brothers will likely surpass him. Why is it that the eldest son is often the shortest?

On pictures that Leo2001 posted, that is almost as much height difference as there is between me (179) and my friend (181). But there is still "much" less noticeable height difference between me and my friend.

Tried to edit Leo's photos to represent a pretty accurate height difference between me (Brooklyn) and my friend (David). Tho in real life it might be less difference between us.

By the way Rob, how tall do you think he'll be? I'll bet on 5'11"-5'11.5".
Arch Stanton said on 19/May/17
177 seems a good shout. It's amusing that the Beckham PR try SOO hard to promote this kid as the handsome lookalike son of David. The reality is that there's barely a resemblance to his father and he looks more like his miserable mother. Tries way too hard to be cool and he just doesn't have it. At least the TOWIE and Jersey Shore lots have done something remotely in terms of work for a page, this kid hasn't done anything from what I can gather!

I have him finalizing at 6'0"-6'1". He still have a fairly small head for his height, and is as thin as a Rail (with him looking like he's 15-16). Those are signs that seem to point towards the person is still growing from what I've noticed.
Heylo said on 10/Apr/17
I think that he could gain almost half an inch from 18 to 20 since his growth pattern looks very much like mine and my brother. So I wouldn't be surprised if he were to be a legit 5'10 in another year and maybe even a little over it. Decent height in most places.
I myself went from 5'8 to 5'9 and 3 quarters from 16 to 19. That last year I got some extra mm making me a legit 177cm guy(179 in the morning). My brother got from 5'9'75 to 5'11 in the same year span. I Live In Sweden though so I'm considered a bit short at 177, but for Brooklyn I think it's a decent height, especially considering that he's probably growing a bit taller than that.
Nik said on 2/Apr/17
@Editor Rob

Do you think he will grow to be much taller? Will he ever reach his Dad's height?
Editor Rob: I think he is over 5ft 9, whether he is a full 10 I can't quite say...he still has an outside chance of hitting over it, but time is running out.

I wanna ask you question :) In the morning Iam exactly 176cm but almost immidiately after i get up iam loosing cm and i end up 174.2 in the evening. Why is that ? Can i do smthing about it ? Also how would i stand against Brooklyn would he tower over me ? Thanks for the answer, you are doing amazing job here :)
Editor Rob: overnight when we lie down, our discs can rehydrate, during the day being upright puts pressure on discs so they lose some water content and shrink a tiny can't really do anything about it, unless you were to lie down regularly during the day to recover a few mm's each time.

I think Brooklyn would appear taller than you.

Definitely won't be taller than David now that's for sure.

I think I was around 179-180 at 16. My Dad is 5'11" and my Mum 5'6". With his Mum being a few inches shorter at 5'3" or 5'4", I can't really see him gaining much more height now. I gained another 4cm from 16 (my older brother is 6'1") but his Mum's lower height makes that unlikely. Will be interesting to see.
Looks like David is deliberately slouching in every photo they have together so that Brooklyn looks taller - to help the perception of his height for his modelling career maybe...

His posture isn't the best, but selena is probably 5'7 in those heels...
So he was looking 5'8 a few months ago
Unless he had a big spurt (unlikely in his age),
He still is between 5'8 and 5'9
And the picture that made you change the listing is from the end of 2014, and it is not a good picture.
I think you should keep brooklyn at 5'8.5
Editor Rob: 5ft 8.5 could still be argued yeah.

The picture james markenson posted is very old, like from 2014-2015
If he was 5'9 already at that time
Than he mustbe at least 5'10 now...
But he isn't, he is more like a weak5'9 right now. And back then he was closer to 5'8 probably... But the picture doesnt shows it...
I think you should keep him at 5'8.5 and wait for more pictures because this one is a little weird, in every other picture he is way shorter than his father.
I think he looks 5'8.75 though, but not based on the picture james markenson posted here.

Rob, I know Brooklyn is 17 and he's a year older than me (I'm born 28/2-2000) but I know that when you're 16,6 you have around 10cm left (About 60% of the 16 year olds) to grow according to many sources.
My father was 1,65 at 15 and now he's 1,83 and my 19 year old brother was 1,75 at 15 and now he's 1,90.
I do believe Brooklyn has at least 6-9 cm left tl grow so I'd say, if he's around 1,77 now, he'll hit 1,81-1,84 when he's 21 cuz males stop growing at 21.
According my passport I'm 1,78 and I took it last week.
So I'll be like 1,88 and I'm 16,5..

What do you think?

Editor Rob: I don't know how much growth he has left now, but within a year his final height should be evident.

he looks almost his dad's height, around 5'9-5'10 but his dad is slightly slouching
Editor Rob: even adjusting the 25 degree tilt he does look at least 5ft 9 now!

he looks like 5'9.5-5'10 here, his dad slightly has bad posture in this
Arch Stanton said on 19/May/16
Nah, he doesn't look more than 5 inches taller than Moretz, see them both in flats. Might be approaching 5'9 but I'd say 5'8.5 looks morre accurate for now.
Mat said on 19/May/16
Well, I grew 2 cm since my 17th birthday. My father is about the same height as David Beckham, 181 cm, and my mother is between 169 cm. I am between 178-179 cm in the evening, so I can't imagine Brooklyn ending up more than 176 cm.
TJE said on 18/May/16
Hey Rob, time for a slight upgrade?

Editor Rob: it's possible he's near 5ft 9, will need to keep an eye on more recent photos
Arch Stanton said on 17/May/16
Looks about 3 inches taller than Chloe in recent pics, he'sin those Yves Saint Lauren type boots and she's in heels. So if she is 5'3.5 and they give three inches making her 5'6.5-5'7 in them he's really looking now more than 5'9.5-5'10, so I'd say that somewhere around 5'8.5 is still about what he looks.
Mat said on 28/Apr/16
Rob, what's more likely for him as a final height, 5'9 or 5'10?
Editor Rob: might be between the 2...
TJE said on 25/Apr/16
Not sure how even the ground is, but here's a new pic of him with 5'3.5 Chloe Grace Moretz:

@Rob, I know he has pavement advantage but he looks more 5'9 range here and looks to have grown. Click Here Perhaps best to wait until you get them level but to me he doesn't look under 5 ft 9 there even with level.
Editor Rob: it's hard to say, I will wait to see the next time they are together at an event to see how much difference there is now.
Arthur said on 14/Mar/16
Do you think he might reach 5ft10.75 or 5ft11?
He does look like he could reach his fathers 180 don't you think?
If he did it would be great for his model work.
Editor Rob: over the next year it will be interesting if he gains an inch or so...I don't know if he will manage to beat his Father though.
Juni said on 5/Mar/16
What does 5ft10 range means?
Is it like between 177 and 179?
Or just that he might be 5ft10 but in the morning, and his real height will be closer to a strong 5'9?
Editor Rob: 5ft 10 plus or minus a bit
Mat said on 10/Feb/16
Rob, do you expect him on average to end up over 5'10?
Editor Rob: on average I think he might get to 5ft 10 range.

"I also lucky didn't inherit highly premature baldness from that side of the family either!"

That's a miracle since the baldness gene is inherited from the mother.
jordydecke said on 26/Jan/16
Online height calculators can be pretty accurate...but they don't take into account the chance that you may inherit things from other family members at random. (E.g a friend of mine has a 5'10 dad and a 5'6 mum - he levels out at around 6'3 - he's taken his height from his mum's brothers who are all 6'2-6'4 range). Having said that, a lot of football clubs use this method to see how academy kids will grow - sometimes using it as a basis as to whether or not they'll keep them on.

My dad probably 5'9ish peak and my mum is about 5'4. I remember as a teen I'd check height calculators and I'd usually get 5'8 or 5'9 as my height (due to the fact I was a short teen). I ended up 5'11.5 - also managed to sidestep a lot of the men on my mother's side, there's a lot of them and they're all around 5'3 - 5'7 range. I also luckily didn't inherit highly premature baldness from that side of the family either!

Brooklyn didn't look much shorter than his father at that charity game a few months back, although it's hard to tell on the pitch. He's only, what - 16? I didn't finish growing until I was about 20 or 21 and I'd have been about 5'7 at his age, so he does have a chance of perhaps getting an inch over his dad (Beckham is 5'10.5 in my opinion).
Livi said on 17/Jan/16
I think he's 5'9" ? What do you think Rob?
Editor Rob: he doesn't look far off it
120 said on 17/Jan/16
It would be very interesting to see if he's going to gain any height until 21 (if he has the lucky gene). I would be pretty impressed and surprised if he would even have a chance to be about as tall as his dad or taller. But i might also probably be in surprise (or not), if he just stopped or hardly growing right now. When i was his age, i'm already 5'9" and i might've stopped growing right now. So let's wait and see for the results.

I think Brook would grow two or three inches and since he is around 173-175 range and since his father David is around 180-181 range. I hope Brook would grow near's father height.

He can look 173 range, more so than 175, but 174 is a good fit.

Actually, IMO the height discussions of visitors is either part of "General Height" or "User Height"...
Let's finish the case on here.
176.2 said on 25/Dec/15
177.5 is right..
Once Rob said 0.75cms are average (Football players ~5'9). In my case I loose 1.3cms so .55mms more. I think that is reasonable, I stood much longer awake (24h) and was dehydrated (did not drink). I guess 2h of running is enough pressure on the spine to get to your bare minumum.
If I just stay at home (no longer walks) even a flat 5'10 is common as my night height.
Tunman said on 24/Dec/15
If your usual evening/night height is 177.5 maybe change your name to that mark?BTW I'm curious, what makes you lose a solid half inch on your normal low?I'm assuming you have a standing job or another that involves a lot of rotation and pressure on the back?I would have thought such a further loss is quite impressive, one would think 7-8mms is more common, but I dont know, maybe you're a smidgen taller and didn't stand perfectly tall?

Your mate's similar to my cousin. Because he's 193cm as well, his mother (my aunt) is 173cm (5'8), and his father 185cm (6'1). My cousin's parents are both about an inch taller than your mate's.

Was it because you and your mate's parent(s) were tall?

I doubt Brooklyn will grow to be past 5'10, as most kids around his age don't grow more than 1 1/2 inch, plus his parents aren't significantly tall either.
James B said on 20/Dec/15
Neither of his parents are short.

At a guess I'd say he will end up near 5'10

My dad's 185-186 and my mom's 165-166 peak 162-163 now and I turned out to be about 179. My sisters got luckier at 172 and 175.

As for Brooklyn, I'd say he will hit 178-179 by age 21.

gian92 said on 19/Dec/15
also my parents heights are exactly like Brooklyn's parents. My brother is 5'11 like my father while i am near 6 feet.
Brooklin will be 5'10/11 for me .
Arch Stanton said on 19/Dec/15
I'd guess he'll end up 5'10 ish, a bit shorter than David. You can never place too much emphasis on the parents height though, there's a range of factors involved, and one parent might be the shortest/tallest sibling of their families etc and the height potential can be greater or less than you think.

@Sue, he's become the British Justin Bieber hasn't he?
Dave189 said on 18/Dec/15
It's very hard to be taller than your dad if your mum is short like mum is 5'4" on a good day and my dad was 6'4" in his prime, but luckily I managed to pull of decent 6'2.5", still shorter than my dad...I'm the shortest guy in my father's family

Sam said on 18/Dec/15
Must have grew a fair bit since last time I checked. I remember people were even debating he was in the 5'6-5'7 range not so long ago. His parents genes average him at a potential 5'10 range, but might only finish measuring not much more than 5'9 considering he's not far off 17. I believe his father Becks grew half an inch from 17 onwards.
John said on 18/Dec/15
If you look very closely at his shoes, you can see the angle of his feet and the creases on the side of his shoes, that should tell you that he's wearing lifts, he can't be above 5'7.
Tom said on 17/Dec/15
@Rob do you think he will surpass his father?
Editor Rob: it will be interesting to see how much more height a guy like brooklyn might get.
Amaze said on 17/Dec/15
His parents heights are exactly the same as mine
His dad 180 cm 5'11 flat like my dad
His mum 163 cm 5'4.25 like my mum.

Lucky lol, he's 2 years younger than me , he's 16 and he's 1.5" inch/4cm taller. I wonder how tall he will grow too. I predict 178cm or 5'10.

My brother was 178/5'10 at 16, by 18 he was 183cm/6'0.
I'd be suprised if he grew taller than his dad.
littlesue said on 17/Dec/15
