Charlotte is very ditsy in Classic Emmerdale, in the loveliest way possible. She’s in a permanent state of excitement, which is just how a youngster should be. Her hair is worn in ponytails - sometimes! - and everything is an adventure to her. How becoming for a young girl!

Laurel is being far too judgmental with her boyfriend. She, too, has had addiction problems, only hers - alcohol - is legal, but it takes more lives every year than cocaine.

I saw Charlotte in a classic episode of EastEnders, wearing very little and just about to sleep with the mop-haired preacher, who is being coveted by quite a number of his congregation.... πŸ™Š

There's no way we could take in her height; she was bending down to look for clothes to cover herself up in front of a shocked Sarah Hills! πŸ™‰

Today's Emmerdale Omnibus: Poor Laurel gets a shocking text on her phone that her baby is X weeks old now and she needs an examination. The baby had Down's Syndrome and Laurel and her partner decided on an abortion.

Racked with guilt, Laurel, played by Charlotte, pours vodka into a cereal bowl and yes, she reacquints herself with the bottle, having suffered an addiction problem with alcohol before.

It's a high percentage of women who have had abortions who go on to suffer mental problems afterwards. Her partner, too, has battled cocaine addiction, so you could say that they are a frail couple.

There is no right or wrong way to deal with abortion or miscarriage, but help is always available, and very necessary.

I'll never forget the role Charlotte played in the early 90s in 'A Touch of Frost' playing a schoolgirl supporting her tall, beautiful friend who was victimised for her looks. There wasn't an iota of jealousy or she'd never have befriended the girl in the first place. I'd like to think Charlotte Bellamy is as nice as this in real life. Her performances are from the heart, and I truly think that Soap stories can help others suffering with similar problems. Then there are helplines offered at the end - great idea!

Charlotte gets 5ft3.75. πŸ˜πŸ’

Pregnancy is supposed to be a time of great happiness, but for Charlotte's Laurel, it's a time of worry and uncertainty with the Down's Syndrome scenario entering the equation. Now it's been proved that her baby HAS got it. (Yesterday's episode).

These kids are loving and I would never advise a woman to abort her offspring on those grounds. Her best friend in the programme has a Down's Syndrome little boy.

@ Sandy Cowell - Well said! Yeah, for me it's cool to be hysterical over Johnny Depp or Steve Tyler!

I used to think Charlotte was petite, now I think she is average!

🀐 Why the **** do women scream their heads off at some random stripping hunk with muscles, and usually on the tall side, when they know absolutely nothing about him whatsoever and have about as much chance copping off with him as I would be tempted to take to eating salted woodlouse sandwiches?

It's nonsensical!

Now if Johnny Depp or Steve Tyler turned up at my party, clothed or otherwise, I would most certainly join in with the hysteria because I know these guys have talent.... πŸ˜‰

Charlotte gets 5ft3.75. After seeing her going into a screaming frenzy over a male muscle-bound man with all the other girls, I had a good chance to size her up!

Such a likeable girl in 'Emmerdale', I actually thought she was around 5ft3! She has been through some humiliating experiences while her drinking was out of control, but she seized the help on offer and is now helping Graham the best way she knows how - by being honest with himself and coming clean with Megan, his girlfriend.

I think I am still affected by the first time I saw Charlotte, which was playing the best friend of a tall and beautiful 'victim' girl, whose life was in danger due to her looks in an episode of 'A Touch of Frost'. She was a supportive friend in that as well. Isn't that what life is all about?

@ Rojina - Hello! I think if you can track down the episode of 'A Touch of Frost' with Charlotte starring, you'll be able to compare her to 5ft6 (at the most) David Jason! She is noticeably shorter than he is!

Whilst onscreen her character even in her sneakers comes across at least as 5"7.........

This poor girl is really going through it in 'Emmerdale', what with her husband's early-onset dementia.
I think storylines like this one are very helpful to the poor minority of those who share such problems.
I am fairly surprised that Charlotte isn't 5ft3 exactly. That's the most I thought she was!
I remember her in an episode of 'A Touch of Frost' when she played second fiddle to a tall, blonde beauty, but she was a fantastic friend to the taller girl, who was encountering problems because of the way she looked!
I guess that made me think Charlotte was a touch smaller!
