I have given evidence that Shaq is no further away from the camera than Yao, whereas you have not given evidence for the contrary. And there's no way it appears to be a ten-inch difference, Clay, because Shaq comes up to Yao's nose; account for Yao's massive head and we're probably looking at around seven to seven and a half inches difference. Shaq could stand up straighter and bring it down to six and a half, or maybe to an even six. These would be my estimates on the two:

In addition, Levi is slouching slightly for most of the clip, while Conan maintains virtually perfect posture for most of it. I found the most telling moment to be at the 54 second mark when Levi finishes whispering in Conan's ear, and their postures flip-flop from what they had been up until that point with Levi standing up straight and Conan dropping into a slight slouch: Once you discount Conan's hair, Levi manages to look a mere half inch or so shorter, and that's with Conan possessing the camera advantage as well as the footwear advantage, which I feel are more than enough to offset his slight slouch. A final point, Conan appears to be tip-toeing as he walks up to Levi at 19-21 seconds, and when he plants his right foot he still hasn't dropped his heel to the ground. I don't believe he was tip-toeing for the entire segment, but it's certainly a possibility to consider given the evidence. A flat 6'3'' Conan does indeed fit.

6'3" is too low for Conan...
I watched the video with Levi and while he is wearing relatively low sneakers compared to Conan's dress shoes, I think Conan might be getting a half inch more, so he's still a little taller. You could make an argument that Conan can look around a quarter to a half inch under 6'4" but a flat 6'3" doesn't fit.

He always edges out Will Ferrell by about 1-1.5 inches and Ferrell's a weak-ish 6'3". At times, like next to Dennis Haysbert or Tom Selleck, Conan can seem a weaker 6'4" but there's really no doubt that he's 193 cm range.

I was watching an old interview he did with Stephen Merchant where Merchant asked him how tall he was and Conan said '6'4...ish' and then he asked Conan to stand up and Conan did NOT look three inches shorter than him.
I don't think Stephen would exaggerate his height, but I think it's very possible that Conan is modest about his.

I wouldn't put him under 6'4". I was once in his studio audience years ago and he's a STRONG 6'4". Seemed like a good 6'6" at the time though I was seated. HUGE guy. Part of it is the hair (which in the 90s was even higher) and also the fact that he's a very energetic, almost hyper person constantly moving around which makes his presence even more noticeable. Very nice and personable to his audience.

Yeah, they're definitely pretty close. I mean, I suppose if it turned out Neeson is 6'4 1/8" and Conan is 6'3 7/8", calling listing both of them at 6'4" is fine even though Neeson is taller. I do think Neeson is a certainly a fraction of an inch though. I also think Dennis Haysbert and Josh Homme both looked a good .5" taller too (although Haysbert did say "6-4 and 3/4 I think" which a little dodgy).

Rob, you didn't think Neeson was any taller than Conan? Josh Homme too? I thought there seemed to be a small but clear advantage both of those guys had over Conan from the videos (roughly 1 - 2 cm). The angle on the Neeson video wasn't perfect, but Conan thought he was 6'5" which says something.

That's ridiculous, Homme is clearly taller. Conan's got the high hair thing going on too, so that's no excuse. Look at them when they shake hands and afterward side by side, Homme is taller. Also check the footware, Conan's advantage and he still looks shorter.
