While on the subject of that episode of Midsomer Murders, it's showing again, so here are a couple more observations. In the opening scene, anyone would be forgiven for thinking Donald's a strong 5ft10 because he towers over all the girls as they dance to a friend's grave in some weird, pagan-like ceremony, but then when you have a good look at the girls and see how young they are, it's doubtful that they're fully grown - either that or they're simply young and short, and might have been selected to make Donald appear somewhat kingly; well, it worked on me!
5ft9 peak and 5ft7.75 now - if and when he stands up STRAIGHT! He looked physically fit in the play.

I thought I recognized this guy in the 'Midsomer Murders' episode that's just started. It's called 'Sins of Commission' and I've just watched Donald dancing and playing an air guitar, which looks funny when he's wearing earphones!

He's tilting his head downward, so it looks like you have almost an inch on him, but after looking at your shoulder levels, he is almost on par with you Rob. So I definitely can see him as a solid 173cm. But this is interesting because my initial guess would have been 175cm instead of 173cm as he is now. Good pic update.

It's been a while since i've seen him in GOT but, from what i remember, i would have said around 5'8 was possible for him, yeah... He looks closer to 5'7 than 5'8 with you, though!

Editor Rob at early 70's I'd expect a chap like him to lose an inch or so. I think he could still measure near 5ft 8 today.
