I'm amazed by how tall the Breaking Bad creators made him look in the show. He's supposed to be this big, intimidating presence and they did a lot to also create that impression there. For example when he's interacting with other characters, the other character is often seen sitting. You hardly actually see him standing a lot next to the other actors. Funny how he's only a tiny bit taller than Dean Norris, yet probably because of the stocky build, he always appeared way shorter than Giancarlo, who has this really slim build.

I watched the whole Breaking Bad series a while ago and I noticed that Gus seemed to be as tall as Walter White there when sharing a scene, perhaps even taller. I'm sure he wore lifts in Breaking Bad, because Giancarlo certainly is shorter than you and Bryan Cranston.

Editor Rob I would rule out 5ft 7 flat. He is taller than G in person and a con friend who is 5ft 7 was with me and i watched him with that guy and thought Giancarlo edge him out.
