Hogan is 29 in that video and might be wearing cowboys.

Regardless Barkley is taller next to Gene than peak Hogan Click Here

Gene wasn't a wrestler so really shouldn't have lost height by 1995 when he would have been 52?

Ferrigno was listed @ 6ft5 I would the say he was about 6ft 3 He was on King Of Queens and the Black actor on the Show was 6ft 5 and he had a couple inches on Lou Also Lou was on Night Court many years ago and hes was shorter than John Larroquet who was about 6ft 4!!
Brian Frang said on 5/Apr/20
Hulk Hogan was definitely 6'7" at his peak. The entire reason that he started being called "Hulk" is that he dwarfed the 6'5" Lou Ferrigno in his prime. Like, if you look at old photos, Bollea is noticeably larger.
viper said on 5/Apr/20
Barkley can look at least 6-5.

It may have to do with wearing the largest 1.5 inch plus shoes plus inserts.
viper said on 5/Apr/20
I'd bet good money he was at least 6-5 peak.

@public Enemy - did read a report on Hogan that he said at Wrestlemania 3 Andrea was way over the 500 pounds that when walking around inside the ring he was sinking into the floor by an inch or more - So Andre was another inch or more taller then Hogan.
Canson said on 4/Apr/20
@Space: I’m with you that he wasn’t 6’6” in his prime except maybe out of bed. I could buy 6’5” flat but lower looks odd. Barkley has that uncanny ability to make people look shorter than they are at times!!
Space said on 3/Apr/20
@ canson

You’re basically proving my point that Hogan was 6’4 5/8” in his prime because he wasn’t any taller than Barkley.

I’m said I’ll buy Hogan at 6’5.25” because everyone’s so hung up on him being 6’6” peak, but I truly only think he was a weak 6’5” peak and 6’2.75” max today.
Big ed said on 3/Apr/20
He actually looked 6'7 next to Ali trump and McMahon if there in the 6'2-3" range or lowest 6'6 but then with lister he looks about 6'5.5" I can't give him lower peak to be fair. Andre was alot taller than Hogan even the wm3 picture if you imagine tilting hogans chin down were it should be he'd be at Andres nose follow the line into Andres head there's at least 6" in the difference possibly 7" considering the size of he's head peak Andre had Hogan easy 7-8" I know it doesn't look it but I've seen all types of photos and height is very deceiving look at your own photos on your phone youll realize it youll probably even come across some1 slightly shorter than you an youll look shorter in a picture
Canson said on 3/Apr/20
@Ben Bell: those are decent estimates overall. I doubt he’s higher than that though. Probably a bit less on both

Another pic with Andre. No lifts. Not a great angle but Hogan is not dwarfed by Andre. Looks 6’5.5 there. I wonder if a young Hogan in his twenties could have been 6’6 now?

So I pasted this into my paint program and blew it up and zoomed in on their feet. Hulk definitely has the footwear advantage. It got a little grainy, but he for sure had the bigger heal and thicker sole. Its also looked like a possible small internal lift. I would say Hulk barefoot at this time would have been closer to 6'5"and Andre evening would have been in the 6'10" range. Maybe still a little over 6'10" at the time this picture was taken.

The peak height of Hulk Hogan should be considered not over his 45 years, because of his heavy body damage. Peak between 196 and 198, but I don't think he's less than 6'3" by now.

You could argue 6'5 range peak, but come on, he was easily 6'5, nothing under it. Nowhere near 24 inch pythons though. Brian Shaw is much bigger than Hulk ever was, 100 pounds + heavier and only has 23 inch arms before a workout. I'd say Hulk was nearer 20, maybe 21 peak. Which is still massive.

The fact that people think Hogan was 6’6”-6’6.5” in his prime is crazy.

Look at Hogan standing next to 6’7.5” Kevin Love, there’s no way Hogan was almost Kevin Loves height at one point.

Sid, on this site, has a peak height of 6'6"3/4. I think he was more like 6'6.5.

Now even if Sid was really 200cm at his peak, he had no less than 1.5 inches on Hogan. So Hogan at 6'6" its just wrong.

But as I said in my opinion Sid was max 199cm. Today him and Taker are in the same boat, they are shorter by at least 1 inch

from 2015 so not sure if height loss has become more pronounced since but if Snoop is the 6’3.75 Rob lists him Hogan looks his listing. 2cm. He wouldn’t be as low as 6’2” then. The real question is was Snoop a legit 6’4” in his prime or more like 6’3.5? Rob lists him at 6’3.75 but the argument can be made for all three as he appeared taller than Harden in a pic (likely camera advantage) but around 3 cm maybe even 1.5” or 1.75 shorter than Kobe Bryant in 2016. If Snoop were a legit 6’4 it would make Hogan closer to what Alan32080 guessed him in person (even before we determine whether or not he is standing his tallest).

@62B: I think “Strong 6’5” range may fit. Meaning 6’6 out of bed 6’5.25 afternoon height. But 6’5.75/6’5 is possible too. Today 6’2.75-6’3.25 imho
62B said on 13/Feb/20
@ Canson. I think most evidence (pictures, video's, personal sightings)put Hulk in the solid 6'5 range peak. I think the times he looked closer to 6'6" (like the early DiBiase footage) he probably has a little bit of padding in the soles of his boots. Today he looks just 6'2-6'2 1/2" most of the time to me, but would not be overly surprised if he still touched 6'3" either.
Riccardo 5'7 said on 13/Feb/20
With all the rispect but this 6'6" listing still for Hogan's peak it's funny.
This man was never 6'6" barefoot and in the afternoon also.
He was 2 inches shorter than Undertaker, who was max 6'7". This is in 1991.
He wore lifts it seems, for sure he did when he was in gear.

6'4"3/4 peak and 6'2"3/4 today wich would be a big height loss.

Big ed said on 26/Jan/20
Why would Hogan be 6'8 or 6'9 ever when he said himself his tallest was 6'7 which I'd say he exaggerates all the time his best friend ed Leslie said he trained with Terry and they where measured in the gym and Hogan was slightly above 6'5 and he was nearly 6'3 Hogan was 285lbs and he was 240

Henry, Hogan was 6’9” but that was in his wrestling boots. I've had multiple conversations with my chiropractor about Hulk Hogan.

Peak 1970s Hogan was at least 6,8 1/4" barefoot and probably over 6'9" with a good 8+ hours of sleep.
------------------------------

Then Hulk lost about 3" from the late 70's to early the early 80's, because he was nowhere near 6'8" when I saw him in 1980

@Miko: I could see about 6’6 out of bed 6’5.25 afternoon and 6’5 extreme low (on a rare occasion). I think if Rob lowered him to 6’5.5 it would fit well enough being this is based on lunchtime and he would conceivably be 6’5 3/8” by that logic give or take. Even if it’s over by a hair that’s only max 1/4” or 1/3”. I doubt his prime was under 6’5” or over 6’5.5

Hogan was losing height in 1980. All the pictures where Hulk is compared to guys like Sid and the Undertaker are in the late 80s and early 90s. Hulk wrestled André the Giant in 1979 in Shea Stadium so was already putting his body through wear and tear and suffered from scoliosis. He already lost an inch from 6’6 at his peak in the 70s to 6’5 in the mid 80s. Then the leg drop and two dozen knee, hip and back surgeries to now puts him at 6’3 today. I wonder if the latest fusion surgery will restore an inch of his height as it has the potential maybe.

Hogan was never 6’6” afternoon height. 6’5-6’5.5 range max. I do agree he was around 6’5 flat max in the mid to late 80s maybe even dipping under later in the day by late 80s. By the 90s he was 6’4 range and even today I doubt he dips much under 6’3 if even that low. Possibly 6’2.75-6’3.25 range afternoon and 6’3.5-6’4 out of bed

@62B: either mid or low seen likely. Low would put him at 6’5 in the afternoon which is his low but 6’4.75 on a rarer day where he loses more than average at an extreme (ultimate low). Mid would be normally closing the day 6’5.25 which I also believe to be the case

My personal opinion is that he fits into one of these three or somewhere in between the low and high end. I consider the afternoon height to be someone’s true height and Rob may use the afternoon or 1/8” above the afternoon as a lunchtime height

High end:
Out of bed 6’6.25
Afternoon 6’5.5
Extreme low 6’5.25

Mid
Out of bed 6’6
Afternoon 6’5.25
Extreme 6’5

Low end
Out of bed 6’5.75
Afternoon 6’5
Extreme 6’4.75

Today

Out of bed 6’3.5 (low) 6’4 (upper end)
Afternoon 6’2.75 (a bit low but still a slim possibility) and 6’3.25 is upper end but still possible

With that said, I could see the mid as a really good possibility the same as my buddy. I think a downgrade for his peak to 6’5.5 would be a very good start. If anything 6’5.75 would be a decent start

Johnny John said on 24/Dec/19
Hogan's lost a considerable amount of height over the years, almost more then any other wrestlers from his era. Barefoot peak I would say real close to 6'6, but just a hair under it. A little over 6'6 with shoes on at his peak & 6'7 in his wrestling boots seem about right. So when he use to claim 6'7, it was probably in his wrestling boots at his peak, back in the late 1970's. He always looked about 5 inches shorter then Andre the Giant. Now I would only give him about 6'3 in shoes. So I would say he's lost a full 3 inches from his peak height.
Jackson Waterson said on 22/Dec/19
Most of the people referring to Hogan’s height in the mid 1980s don’t realize he was already outside his peak. He wrestled Andre in 1979 in Shea stadium and put a lot of ware and tear on his body by the time he faced Sid and the Undertaker in the 90s who he is compared and contrasted with. I am curious to see how the most recent spinal fusion surgery last month is going to affect his height. Hopefully he will gain some of the height he lost.
Canson said on 16/Dec/19
@Caldonio: he was prob 2 or 2.5” shorter max. Rodman peak was maximum 6’6.5. Hogan wasn’t in his prime then but I do agree with both estimates. 6’5-6’5.5 range peak and a current height around 6’3”. I think he could still be the solid 6’3” and peak maybe 6’5.25” (6’6 out of bed)
Caldonio said on 12/Dec/19

@Canson I don't know what happened to Show honestly. He's in the 6'9"-6'9.5" range now but I think he was probably in that high 6'11" range at his peak. His height loss is bizarre

Everyone needs to realize with Hogan Taker and Big Show that the wrestling took a toll on their bodies. None of these guys walks their tallest or stands their tallest all the time. It wouldn’t surprise me if they could all get to within 1/2” of their current listings If not hitting the listing. And a guy like Show or Taker is expected to lose more height being over 6’6” in their primes
Canson said on 30/Nov/19
@Mikey: agreed. If anything the height loss for Hogan is wildly exaggerated. He was minimum 6’5” peak. Anywhere 6’5 to 6’5.5 and today is still 6’3”. Rob has his current height accurately listed. He may be a hair under or even slightly over 6’3” but his peak is overlisted. He was never a legit 6’6” afternoon height

Hogan has lost a lot height over the years, barely clearing 6’3 nowadays and at peak I believe he would have been slightly lower than 6’6, maybe 6’5 1/2 peak back in the 80’s and by mid to late 90’s during the NWO days Hogan was down to 6’4 1/2 range as the 6’9 Nash at that time had 4-5inches on Hogan and 6’11 Big Show had at least 6 inches on Hogan.

Hogan is worn down as far as his joints go but as far as general health & exterior wise, he's looking great for 66, he doesn't look THAT much older than he did in the early 2000's.

Peak height, just likely fractionally cleared 6'5. A 6'6 Hogan puts Sid at near 6'8 which is too high.
RP said on 23/Nov/19
Hulk Hogan & Jake Roberts from 1987-1991 were “nearly” the same height. But, Hogan was marginally taller. It always looked as if Hogan was 0.5” to 0.75” taller than Roberts. Depending on if Jake had his thick wrestling boots on or not?
IMO: Hogan 6’5.25” to 6’5.5” & Roberts 6’4.75” at their peaks.
Johan 185 cm said on 23/Nov/19
Just can't see Hogan ever being 6'6" never mind over. He wore cowboyboots ALOT so had at least 0.5 inch more footwear than other wrestlers.

The very most I could see him was 6'5.5" as he was (footwear considered) 1.5 inches+ (0.5in shoe adv) shorter than a max 6'7.5" Undertaker.
Canson said on 23/Nov/19

Hogan looks slightly shorter than 6 6.5 to 6 7 Rodman. Look at the top of their heads, not eye line.

Often times Rodman has a hat on so we can't see the top of his head. Hogan has a large block head so his eye line is lower Rodman has smaller round head.

Rodman claimed 6’6” so I doubt that he was 6’6.5-6’7. He was probably just 6’6.5 afternoon height max. Maybe less

I remember chatting with Stone Cold and he was 6’2 without a doubt. Kevin Nash was also there and he’s huge. If you see the pics where Hulk and Stone Cold are starting at each other Hulk has him by about 2.5-3 inches. I have no doubt he was 6’6 (or very very close to it) in his early years. And how Taker looked in that occasion?
Forgotmyname said on 10/Oct/19
Well, I think some posters forget some important factors, when judging Hulk#s height.

1. The man is 66 years old. A male at that age can lose 1 inch by then. But with Hogan`s lifestyle (wrestling) and health it may be even more. He has two artificial hips and if you have seen his back surgeries you know what happened. I could buy 2 inches of height loss by that.

2. Hogan rarely stands straight. Maybe it´s his back or whatever, Hogan today does not stand tall. Sometimes I think he does that on purpose, so nobody can judge his current height with a legit taller guy.

3. Hogan wore thick wrestling boots and cowboy boots outside the ring. So he always appeared taller than he actually was.

I would give Hulk 1,95 m peak height and 1,89 m now. That´s a lot of height loss, yes, but possible.
Canson said on 10/Oct/19

Now the problem is that also Titus doesn't always look even 6'3", so hard to say.

Considering that at this point I give him 6'2"75/6'3"/6'3".25 range today but I doubt he lost that much.

How can I believe that Hogan, at his prime, would have been the taller man in this picture?

@ Sotiris,
Hey BrothA!
I actually agree with you on Troy Aikman. He was actually 6’3 1/2” max! IMO...never 6’4”! My argument has always been in regards to Dan Marino. Rob has him listed @ 6’3 1/4”...that’s a bit too low, because Dan Marino was always at least 0.25” maybe even close to 0.5” taller than Troy Aikman from 1989-1999 when they would play each other & meet on the field. There are also some of the field pics showing this. So, Rob...if Troy is really 6’3.5” ? Then a peak Dan Marino was a minimum 6’3.75”! I’ve always argued that Marino was close to a legit 6’4”...not Aikman, Marino was actually officially measure @ 6’3 5/8” is JR year @ Pitt @ age 20. And word is by the time he was 22 & with The Dolphins, he reached 6’4” (Legit) ??? He was often a fraction taller than other 6’4” listed NFL QBs in the 80’s & 90’s & was always noticeably taller than the 6’3” listed QBs. Sotiris, What are your thoughts on Marino? It’s obvious at his prime, he was at least 1/4” taller than Aikman.

@Canson, Your right in line with me. I’ve only been around him at night a few times and he’s always in shoes at that time. Definitely still above 6’3” now in the morning. Not a crazy amount but still above. In the mornings he seems around 1/2” but could be a hair smaller. Still it’s noticeable tho. I’m gonna split hairs and just say 6’3.25” is a pretty good assumption probably a little shy of his morning height but so close that it really doesn’t matter. As for peak, I’m with you 100% on his peak. Not under 6’5” and not more than 6’6”. I’m gonna say 6’5.5” would be the best peak walking around between 8-3 during the day. Wasn’t trying to be a dick to that guy but pictures lie. In some pictures he looks 6’4” but I know that’s not the case. With you being a bigger guy Canson and pretty close to his peak I think your estimates would be the best to apply to his peak. He would lose around the same loss you do from morning to night.

@Alan32080: even using your normal low which is the site Standard (6’2.67-.75) that would still make Hulk (based on your estimation) what you guessed him as and absolutely not less than a legit 6’3” guy. Prob more a strong 6’3” like you suggested. Half inch difference if it’s that would make him around 191cm. 6’2.5 as a max is too low imho even though I respect Sotiris’s opinion. I could go to a solid 6’3” like he’s listed but I’ve said before too 6’3-6’3.25 is a possibility. I would say that I think there’s prob a better chance of a few “hairs” above the mark than that half inch below it. My possibilities are below:

Peak:

Out of bed 6’5.75-6’6.5
Afternoon height (normal low) 6’5-6’5.5
The 6’5.5-6’6” range is higher imo but it’s probably more feasible than something like 6’4.5-6’5” or 6’4-6’4.5 or 6’6-6’6.5.

Current

Out of bed 6’3.25 (a bit low imho) to 6’4.25 (a bit high imho but that puts him around where you said he looked).

Based on that, it makes him 6’2.5 (looks too low) to 6’3.5 (looks a bit high) I really would rule anything above that mark out or below 6’2.5. I really would say reasonable based on how he looks 6’2.75-6’3.25. My personal guess is 190.5 or 191cm. I don’t think he’s under 6’3” at all

@Sotiris Gravas sorry man, I hate to tell you this but I can with 100% certainty tell you that your height guess for Hulk now is wrong! Not even questionably close. I’m 6’3” on the nose. No more, no less! He’s minimum 6’3.25 - 6’3.5” now. He’s taller than me. That’s barefoot. No shoes or unlevel surfaces that’s eye to eye and Hulks taller! That’s a fact and I’m positive of my height. No rounding up or down. Pictures can go one way or the other on height guessing. You can obviously pick and choose certain pictures to push your opinion but me knowing him and being around him I don’t need to guess from a picture. Sorry man. Hate to be that guy but your wrong!

@62B: to be honest I can see where Alan32080 is coming from too. Hulk to me can still look 6’3”. And 6’3.25 or 6’3” and change while a bit high in some pics may be realistic if he can pull off 6’3” at times. Now I can safely (in my opinion) rule out 6’3.5”. Below or above seem like outliers. Really to me fair game would appear to be 6’2.75-6’3.25 at a normal afternoon low with 6’3.25-.5 being remotely possible and 6’2.5-.75 also being possible

Its always a little hard with Hulk in pictures, because more often than not he seems to stand with bent knees even though it may look like he isn't. I remember a picture being posted with SGT Slaughter were Hogan did not look that tall, and it did not look like he was bending his knees, but there was a mirror in the back ground showing that he was. Personally I still think he generally looks about 6'2.5" in most pictures. But I also believe Alan32080, as he interacts with him on a semi regular basis. Also to me when Joeyb33 said Hogan was at least his height it means that he thought he is no shorter than 6'2.25" maybe even a little taller, but probably not as tall as his 6'3.25" brother, or I think he would have mentioned it. Maybe Hulk was doing a little bit of the bent knee thing when Joey saw him, making it a little hard to judge his exact height. Pictures are great, but nothing like seeing in person.

Dude, Hogan is standing closer to the camera -- just like Terry Crews -- and his posture looks perfect. If Hogan was really taller than max 6'2.5", he'd look it, yet obviously doesn't. Hogan didn't look 6'3" w/ Aikman almost a decade ago. There's no way he's 6'3" almost ten years later. The only way Hogan looks taller is by way of footwear.

@Riccardo

As for Titus next to Hogan, this is Titus w/ max 6'3.5" Jameis Winston... Click Here Titus always looks max 6'2.5" w/ Winston.

The fact that Hogan looked max 6'2.5" way back w/ Aikman, yet ppl still insist he's 6'3" or over at the age of 66 is crazy to me.

Remember, this was Hogan (closer to camera) w/ Tito Ortiz, who's UNDER 6'2":

Canson, I can’t remember ever seeing a good pic of a prime Hogan and Undertaker together. Hogan did not look any taller than a peak height 6’5” Scott Hall and it looks like Undertaker here has around 2.5” on Hall Click Here That should be about the same as how peak Hogan and peak Undertaker would have looked standing together.
Canson said on 30/Sep/19
@Alan32080: when did you meet the Undertaker? You said he looked 6’7” in person. Wondering if that was like early 2010s?
Canson said on 30/Sep/19
@Alan32080: thanks! Your estimate is good too! And you met him. I loss typically .75” some days it’s a full 2cm. Hogan May have lost an inch I do agree. So 6’6.5 out of bed is possible and 6’5.5” or 6’6.25 and 6’5.25.
Alan32080 said on 29/Sep/19
@Canson your estimates are in line with mine. All good averages. I don’t drop near as much during the day as you but I could definitely see Hulk dropping 3/4” - 1” in his prime during the day with all that mass on him. Very well could get down to 6’5.25” at night. In reality now he’s between 6’3.25” - 6’3.5”. Really leaning on that 1/2” tho. There is a noticeable difference between him and me. Prime out of bed most likely 6’6” and I will agree digressed down throughout the day to 6’5” - 6’5.25”.
Canson said on 28/Sep/19
@JT: I posted a pic once of Taker and Hogan but can’t find it now. It was only 1.5-2” between them
Canson said on 28/Sep/19
@JT: I do agree that it was more than a solid inch between Hogan and Sid. I mentioned 1-1.5”. My guess is more 3-3.5cm. I would place Sid in his prime at 6’6.5 (199-199.5) and Taker probably a strong 6’5 (196-196.5 at a low would probably be about where he would fall). Taker was definitely taller though I agree. Taker looked roughly 1.5-2” taller than hogan imho. I’d go no less than maybe 1.5-1.75”. No more than 1.75-2”. Now a peak Taker is just as tricky but we can probably agree he wasn’t under 6’7” at his peak. I could argue a fraction above the mark like low 201.
JT said on 28/Sep/19
Canson, there was definitely more than one inch between Hogan and Sid. It was more like 2 inches. Click Here Here’s Hogan and Sid standing in the same spot in the same match Click Here

Taker looked a little taller than Sid but likely no more than 1/2 inch. Taker beginning in the late 1990s looked taller than he did in WCW and when he debuted in WWF but I think that was more footwear related
Canson said on 27/Sep/19
@Alan32080: but 6’6 out of bed (flat) prob would put him at 6’5.25” afternoon height. In my case I’m a hair over 6’5” out of bed (6’5 1/16 at my last measurement) and 6’4.25” maybe a mm more afternoon height some days. Others bang on 6’4.25”. I’ve always lost at least 3/4” throughout the day as do most here. I could see much of the same though if we’re talking an out of bed. 6’5.75 is an absolute worst case out of bed prob the full 6’6” then 6’6.25 is absolute best case imho with at a stretch 199. Maybe he lost an inch and dipped to around 6’5.5” if that’s the case. Him losing an inch with the weight he carried in his prime and his proportions wouldn’t surprise me. My personal guess is something like 6’6/6’5.25
Alan32080 said on 27/Sep/19
@Canson maybe a 1/16” to a 1/4” by 5-6 in the evening. I don’t lose to much during the day. Most of the time I’m around Hulk it’s morning to mid morning. Solid 6’3.5” guy mid morning. Really blows my mind at pictures and how they are so deceptive. Once you stand beside him that’s when you can tell the difference. I still think he was around 6’4” last year when I first met him. Not so much anymore during the day but out of bed I can see him hitting that mark. Peak afternoon height for him from the 1000’s of pictures I seen I’m gonna say 6’5.5-6’5.75”. 6’6” out of bed maybe a hair more in the mid 70’s.
Canson said on 27/Sep/19

@Alan32080: that would make sense 6’3.25ish. What did you say you’re afternoon height was? 6’2.67, right
Alan32080 said on 25/Sep/19
Hulk’s height right now is around 6’3.25-6’3.5”. I’m going over in a few weeks to hangout and will try and get some good pictures of him and me. As the regulars know I’m 6’3” flat. He’s taller than me. Can’t see that changing from last month I was around him. His flip flops are flat soles and his shoes don’t have lifts in them like people say. I watched him take them off in his home gym that’s in his garage. I flat out asked him about his height as a young man. He said what he’s said on interview after interview that his mom measured him at 6’7” in the mid 70’s. He has a picture book of him and thousands of celebrities and every wrestler you can imagine. I will say this. One of the pictures he’s standing next to a door way with Brian Blair and the side wall of the door has a measuring sticker with a metal arm that sits in your head. It was on his head and it was right at 6’7.5”. You could see his feet and he had cowboy boots on. So after seeing that picture and a ton of others I’m going with a 6’6” max height and a 6’5.5”-6’5.75” evening height. No less no more. So in my opinion and I will get pictures next time I’m there. He’s 6’3.5” now no less morning height and 6’3.25” evening height. Still could see him hit 6’4” out of bed. He’s actually pretty dang tall in the morning when he can stand up straight. So now 6’3.25 average then 6’5.75 average prime.
Canson said on 25/Sep/19
Again this should give you an idea of Hogan’s peak height. He likely wasn’t 6’6” peak afternoon height and was surely not 6’7”. Sid Eudy is listed here at his peak 6’6.75” arguably 6’6.5 is his afternoon height as he typically didn’t look as tall as Kane or Taker in his prime or other bigger wrestlers standing next to them. Hogan (not addressing footwear) could look min 1” more like 3cm shorter than him. The max for Hogan peak was likely 6’5.5 barefoot or more likely 6’5-6’5.5 at his afternoon height. If we go with the 6’6.75 Rob lists Eudy then 6’5.5 is fair

Canson said on 25/Sep/19

@Riccardo: I think 2-2.5” is fair for his height loss. And yes a 2019 Taker would be at absolute worst the same height as Hogan peak and that’s if Taker is only 6’5.5 today and Hogan were 6’5.5 peak. In reality that is the lowest for Hogan and I think he’s probably a hair over it. At least a full 197cm but prob 197.5ish worst case. Hogan peak was probably Christian’s height at best. 6’5 1/4-3/8 if even that tall. I think 196 range is a very safe bet for him tho at his low and 6’6” out of bed
Canson said on 24/Sep/19
@Vegas: agreed. Even with the one i used of he and Show I was just showing that he’s not as short as 6’2”. But I can see that with Bowe being he was probably (at a normal low) 194-195 range peak and possibly lost height today. I still can’t see Hogan much under 6’3” if he even dips below that mark. In fact, I think the chance of a full 191 cm are just as good as a solid 190cm or maybe even a little better
Shane Gray said on 24/Sep/19
He was never 6'7" barefoot out of bed or otherwise imo I think most of us agree there but he may have been close to 6'6" out of bed at his peak. Not sure a full 6'6" ever in afternoon. Likely 6'5 1/2" at most. Seemed to wear thick soled shoes in the ring and well.
miko said on 24/Sep/19
A peak Hogan would still be shorter than a present day Undertaker, but it would be close.

The absolute maximum I can see Hogan ever being is 6'5.5, and Taker is still 6'6 at the lowest today, I think under a tape measure he'd stretch up (knees straight/chest out) to somewhere in the 6'6.25/6'6.5 range, but no higher.

What I wanted to say is that 2019 Undertaker is taller than 1990 Hogan in my opinion.

Canson Im pretty sure that he never touched 6'6". At his best he looked 6'5"and not even a cm taller in my opinion probably 6'4.3/4.
I can agree on 6'3", but I don't agree that he lost 3 inches. He lies about his height, and the 3 inches lost is an excuse for don't appear a lier.

If you look that picture with Sid you posted and take away from Hogan 3 inches he would have been towered by Sid looking barely 6'2". I guess he lost max 2 inches

But basecly yours are smart thoughts
Mickie said on 22/Sep/19
I'd agree with his current listing of 6'3". His peak height of 6'6" I would question a bit, I think he was more in the 6'5" range. Maybe 6'5" - 6'5.5" but I doubt anything over that.
Canson said on 21/Sep/19
@Riccardo: that’s likely a 2-3” difference between Hulk and Taker today. Even at a weak 6’6” (197 which is a worst case for Taker) and 6’3.25-.5 (191-192, which is a stretch and the absolute best case for Hogan) that’s still a 5-6cm difference. Really I think 6’3” for Hogan is fine. If he’s over that mark, it may be a very negligible amount (realistic best case to me is 6’3.25 or 191cm) and Taker realistic worst case is 197 today. This is why I go with 2-3”. 191-192 vs 197cm or 190-191vs 198 which is a 7-8cm difference and around 3”.

I think if you look at their peaks it’s less. It’s probably 1.5-2” between them. Taker at his peak was around 6’7” maybe a hair over. 201-202 best case imho. That makes hulk around a strong 196 range peak. 195.5-196.5 or 196-197 are more realistic for his prime than 197-198 imho. I could conceivably see 6’6” out of bed for Hogan peak but not at a low.

I posted pics of Taker and Hogan in their primes previously and it wasn’t more than 2” if even that much

Here is Hogan with Psycho Sid. This pretty much eliminates those ridiculous 6’7” estimates for his prime being Sid was barely that in his prime according to the listings here. I have a peak Sid as max 6’6.5 as he wasn’t as tall (noticeably) as Taker or Kane. Sid has max 3cm on Hogan but not less than an inch. Hogan has to be somewhere in the 6’5” range peak not any higher or lower

He’s not saying he’s 6’2” or 6’5 still. He said he was about 2” taller than him when he last saw him. He also said the same thing Alan32080 said in that he looks shorter than he really is until he stands straight. Alan said he met him when he was in flip flops and one thing I do know is that flip flops can appear thinner than they actually are. I have a pair that give me as much as a regular sneaker does. What you said makes sense because In thick boots Hulk would’ve had close to 3” height on him. Meaning the 6’5-6’6” range is where he fits for his peak. Carson, peak height Hogan in 1995 with Rodman? ROTFLMFAO.
Hulk Hogan's peak height was from 1974 to 1977. I have talked extensively with my chiropractor about Hulk Hogan.
He said that Hogan lost a microscopic amount of height with every leg drop curving his spine like someone with scoliosis. 1990 Hogan is significantly shorter than 1975 Hogan, let alone the tremendous height loss 1995 Hogan.

I clearly said he was 6’4” range in the 90s which means that I’m suggesting that he did lose height being I thought he was 6’5” peak height. That’s my response below. As far as your Chiropractor, his word is simply speculation unless he actually knew or operated on Hogan. When he says “every leg drop”. Was your chiropractor also the person who suggested to you that Hogan was 6’9”? ROTFLMFAO

I agree with you that he wasn’t 6’6”. I’ve always had Hulk as a 6’5” ranger but that “could” drive the point home even more that he was never 6’6” let alone 6’7”. But keep in mind that Hogan had begun to lose height in the 90s and likely was only 6’4” range by then

I've noticed that not only do many people here exaggerate height loss of wrestlers/celebrities, but they also exaggerate the age at which they lose height. Most people don't lose any noticeable height until at least in their 50's, unless if they had a major spinal/hip/knee surgery. For wrestlers and other athletes, it could be 40's.

When has Hogan ever looked like a solid 6'6"?

---------

Very early in his career he could look a big 6'5" near 6'6" at times. He also had alot more mass than his WWF run that so many people know him for.

The question is did he already lose anything? He was still a young guy and wrestling wasn't the high flying/dangerous acrobatic act that it is has been the last 20 odd years.

He could certainly look 6’5-6’6 range peak. Wouldn’t argue against that other than to say maybe closer to 6’5 but a 6’6 out of bed is reasonable if not even a hair over that mark. Question is when did he actually begin to lose his height. Also people exaggerate how much height he’s actually lost. He wasn’t 6’7” peak and 6’3” today or 6’6” peak and 6’2” today. He was 6’5 range peak and is still about 6’3” today. Rob, to his credit, actually did a decent job with the listing since there is a possibility of 6’5.5 peak (doubt any higher tho) and the current listing 6’3” is a good possibility still. That would only leave the peak height about 1/2” off his listing here which is typical for the site being the majority of the athletes who measured early morning receive the measured heights here despite the fact that the standard for the site is 5 hours out of bed. Probably more like 3/4” as I would put his low at 6’5.25 best case (5 hour avg 6’5 3/8 perhaps) but I’ve seen a lot worse here on this site. But He’s lost around 5 or maybe 6 cm tops. I think people take a lot of things for granted with Hogan. Two different extremes. 1. He wore thick boots and made the appearance he was taller. 2. He doesn’t stand straight today which is the case with other big wrestlers like Undertaker and Big Show who could both still be 6’6” and 6’10” with good posture and Kane 6’7” perhaps. That’s assuming that some of those guys can still actually stand their fullest, meaning no debilitating back issues which Hulk and Taker have had a share of

@Johan: I was talking to someone at the gym the other day. He thought Hogan was the same height today as then and said only 6’3 then. I think 6’5” still
