Iv been watching skins lately and I am wondering what the average height was during his generation for guys in the UK? Is he really short for his generation or just slightly under average?
The average is 5ft 10 range for his age group then, so he's nearly 2.5 inches smaller. Probably would have been called 'short' by peers at times, although if you were under 5ft 7 you'd see it far more often.

I think 5’7 flat is closer to the truth.

🕯️🎂🎁 Happy 29th Birthday Jack! 🎁🎂🕯️
It seems like only yesterday that Jack was in his youth and situated in the controversial 'Eden Park'. What tempestuous reviews that movie came out to!
And now he already turns 29....
My boyfriend really rates Jack!

I am currently watching Jack O'Connell in his film 'Starred Up'!
He may be a few inches shorter than his fellow prisoners, but he bloody well doesn't lack in the swearing department! One day I'd like to settle down with a pen and paper and tick every time the 'f' word comes out of his mouth! I've done that sort of thing before, and very entertaining it was too! 😁
The sweary little gnome gets 5ft7.5 today!

Rob would you say Jack is closer to 5"7 than 5"8 I always thought he was a almost 5"8 guy and that surprised me when he wasn't 5"7 3/4. However I think he Gives a good impression of a decent 5"7er.
Editor Rob: 5ft 7 I think is too low, a big 5ft 8 maybe too much, but 5ft 7.5-7.75, I think that could be very possible.

My boyfriend Jim can't get enough of this actor! He turned me on to the film 'Starred Up', and I was impressed enough to buy a copy! Oh, and he is in the films '71', Harry Brown (fantastic!), and plays a more innocent than usual character in the film 'The Liability', where he gets bossed about by an irate and angry Tim Roth, contract killer extraordinnaire!
I will say that Jack doesn't come over as a small guy at all! He's very well made, and must work at it!
I shall go along with the 5ft7.5, though I would have believed an inch more out of him!

Met him years ago and was surprised he was under average height, I took a picture with my mate who was and still is 5'10. He wore these very flat white plimsoll/pump shoes that were in fashion then. My friend was slouching in the picture and wore thick soles but still looked quite a bit taller than him, I found the photo today and he looks 172cm ish, not quite 5'8 but almost.

He honestly look taller than this. In this b-roll he seems closer to 5'9''. Maybe his shoes added extra height? In the movie Money Monster I would have guessed his height as 5'8,5'' next to Clooney. Click Here

He looked short in Skins, roughly about 5'7-5'7.5 is correct.

Rob, I think he's up for a downgrade: here he is with 175 Tom Hardy
I see more than 1.5" difference and Hardy's posture is lacking AND O'Connell is in dress shoes. What do you think?

he edges out McAvoy (Click Here

I wonder how much of an advantage that would be, though? I'm guessing not 0.5". I think they are both just about equal in height, and that height is 5'7".

With 5'7" James McAvoy:
[Editor Rob: there's a fair number of them looking the same and one taller than the other, although I would point out that McAvoy's
shoes have a higher rear leather section. At times I wouldn't be surprised if he wore the odd small lift.]

Or more likely, Aces, you exaggerate your own height by 4 inches. Jack O'Connell would struggle with 5'11 even in platforms with internal lifts and a box. 5'7" seems most likely.

By comparing pics between O´Connell and Dempsie, between O´Connell and Jolie, and finally between Dempsie and Rob, my humble conclusion is that O´Connell should stand around 5´8" (guess he´s slightly taller than Jolie and Dempsie, and around same height as Rob)

With 5'9 Tom hardy Click Here
Rob he looks like 5'7 to me
[Editor Rob: it is believable somewhere in 5ft 7-7.5 range, his shoes might be thinner than hardy sneakers. I know he can look shorter than jolie in heels aswell and this guy To the right of Jack
in person is in 179 range.]
MD said on 13/Nov/14
You met someone else named Jack O'Connell, then, because I doubt he'd even claim 5'11".
Aces said on 12/Nov/14
I've met the man once he was open and honest call it rude or brass but it's a great unique trait these days. I'm 5'11'' we stood eye level.

He is a very talented young actor, You say he is arrogant on what experience, most these young guys have big ego's so not a surprise but still he is a damn fine actor, He is always listed as 5'8, I would have said about 5'8 is right.
Rob, How Tall would you guess Lucien Laviscount not sure if you have seen him, have read 6'1 for him before but have seen him listed at 5'10 and 5'11, His agency give him 5'11?
[Editor Rob: 5ft 11 might be a bit much for him, I would need to look more at him]

Not surprised he has that face.
I think he hovers around 173-172cm.
