Even in sports, they may not always bother with fractions of inches and thus will round to the nearest height. But Jack looked peculiarly tall in some of his old age roles, opposite Sandra Bullock, he looked several inches taller, and looked a good inch over Robert De Niro, which made me wonder if he started sporting more generous shoes on top of little height loss by then.

He looked 1`17-78. He wasn´t much shorter than Sean Connery in that 80`s film. This listing is accurate IMO

Great to see another legendary actor make it to celebheights. He doesn't seem determined to inflate his height either, and that leaves me with the impression that, for him, his acting work is of primary importance to him. I really like that!

Jack can have 5ft9.5 from me.

Rob, why listed him at this if he was given 5ft9 in his career?

From what I've seen, he looked like he would be taller than a flat 5ft 9

Thanks for adding, he was a fun New York character actor. In 12 Angry Men he looks not more than this near Henry Fonda. Close in height to Jason Robards & Robert Redford I think in All the President's Men.

I think he could look over 5ft 9, but a big 5ft 10 guy I'm not convinced...that boxing mention seems a bit low though.
