I met Jeff Lynne at the BBC Radio 2 in Concert last year (2019) - we got a picture together, I am exactly 5'6 - and Jeff was much taller than I am, he's firmly 5'10 to 11.

Oh yes, and he was also in The Move. Theirs was the first track to be played on Radio One, and it was called 'Flowers in the Rain'. (I think! I was into my music at an early age!)
So there! 😝
Peak height: 5ft11
Now: 5ft10
He was also in 'The Travelling Wilburys'. He's only one of two who remains alive, alas. Darn good band!

Hi Rob, from what I have noticed in films and pictures, he looks about the same height as Paul McCartney and George Harrison, if he is not slouching.

Well I think he looked taller than someone like George did in the 80's, in more recent years I think looks sub 5ft 10 now.

Oh nice one! He is here after all! I loved 'The Move', who were the first band to be played on Radio One by Tony Blackburn, in 1967. The song was 'Flowers in the Rain', sung by Roy Wood, though Jeff was in the band and fronted and co-wrote many of their songs.
Of course in the ELO it wasn't the easiest thing in the world to judge the heights of the many members sitting down playing their instruments, but when Jeff was photographed with the other 'Travelling Wilburies', I actually noticed that he wasn't as tall as I always thought he was when I was a child - and I'm talking about 6+ years old, when every adult seems like a giant!
I can believe 5ft10.5 for his peak though, and an inch off for today.

Jeff Lynne at 5'10" seems accurate.
