Yeah, Stan is in his 90s, so it makes sense. Perhaps he shrunk more than just "a bit". Here's the picture I was referring to. I'd still give Renner a good 5'9" based off of it.

Hollywood Eyes... Methinks you must be a little squint. How many times do I hear people say 'i was standing next to...' Well I was on that film too. He wore lifts for the part, mainly because of the period style that was needed. He tends not to be a heel lift wearer. He's a standard 5ft8, and proud of it. Cool cool guy, too.

He was wearing lifts with at least a 2 in heel when I worked with him, standing next to him, as an extra in American Hustle . He was basically my height and I am a female. I AM 5"4'. So 5"10' is not accurate nor is 5"8'. Would guess he without lifts is 5"5' 1/2 5"6". He's still a hottie. but he's petite.

Not really, Cruise can seem to edge out Renner but in several of the shots you see with them together Cruise is probably in his custom lifts. Cruise may be wearing big heels & not lifts here but is no taller than Renner in flatter shoes. Click Here

Rob could you add Dahmer to his credits? Also I wanted to say i was watching that film a few weeks ago and its amazing how tall they made Renner look. He must of been in lifts and they clearly surrounded him with a shorter cast intentionally.

Watched the Immigrant. Same height as Joaquin Phoenix both seem to be 5'8" range. The photos of Emma Stone and Joaquin got me confused but is solved now. Joaquin back on 5'8.25 for me, this guy the same. This guy may not be a 5'7.5-.75 er.

Avengers 2 are doing some extra filming and they put out a casting call for a stand-in for Renner. They required same hair, fit and 5'9". I am happy with somewhere between 5'8" and 5'9".

I am pretty sure Renner is around 5'8" and that is based on consistency in many, many photos plus the fact that he was listed as 5'8" as a suspect years ago on CSI - he was a complete unknown at the time. That number would have been rounded and I think 8.25 is perfectly reasonable. If he does wear lifts it is extremely rare and comparing him against RDJ and Cruise is pointless because they do it habitually. I would say the Mission Impossible photo is one of those rare ones in which Cruise isn't in lifts and it easily puts an inch between him and Renner. Someone should ask him in an interview, he looked so uncomfortable in that old video when he confirmed he was 5'10", he clearly isn't bothered personally and he has reached a stage in his career where he isn't going to be discounted for a role because he is shorter than the magic 5'10", I think if someone asks him straight out he will tell them.

No more than 5'8 i can guarantee that but i personally think he is about 171-72 5'7.5"-7.75" region. Cruise is no more than 5'7.5 peak he could have a lost a bit today so 5'7.25. Simon Pegg weak 5'9 so 5'8.75. Funny thing is the tallest is the weakest in MI.

Scarlett Johannson does not look more than 5'4.5 with the heels, so she may measure 5'2 with out the 2.5 inch heels. Hemsworth looks 6'1.75 but is a little behind so 6'2.25. Rob this photo is kinda weird.

If Jeremy is 5'8.25, the RDJ is 5'8.5 because RDJ edges out Renner. I don't see RDJ anywhere above 5'8 though,so I'd downgrade Renner to 5'7.5-5'7.75.

I think he's 5ft9 if you compare him to Cruise and Pegg, Arterton and Johansson. Remember women's shoes these days are at least 4 inches. If you watch him on Graham Norton he's about the same height as Graham and Gemma is slightly taller in her heels and she's 5ft7. But I only care about looking at his eyes and arms ;)

True, he's a modestly sized guy, but at least he doesn't come off as negatively preoccupied with his stature unlike co-stars like Robert Downey Jr. & Tom Cruise and appears to wear normal footwear. Looked pretty much average height on a SNL repeat I saw recently.

If Scarlett was wearing 4 inch heels though in the film they would give her 2 or 3 inches of height making her around 5ft 5 to 6 which if you add the couple of inches would make him around 5ft 8. Rachel Weisz in her high heels was still smaller than him and she is listed on here as 5ft 6.

Arterton looks like a monster now, but the level ground seems to be rather uneven. In any case, Renner definitely needs a downgrade, but the question is to what mark. 5'7.75''? 5'7.5''? 5'7'' flat? It looks to be a very big difference. I doubt gemma was walking in platform heels for that movie. The difference looks to be around 5 inches. I think either gemma needs to be upgraded or jeremy downgraded.
