In 2016 at age 21 Youssoupha Fall was measured just under 7'3 (7'2.75) without shoes and 7'3.75 with shoes on. Strange how Victor Wembanyama looks shorter than him but looks a legit 7'4 with others.

Embiid measured 7’1 in shoes which aligns with his barefoot measurement of 6’11,75” but it’s odd because Jabari Parker measured 6’9 in shoes at the same event but when he was remeasured in 2019, they listed him at 6’7” instead of the 6’8 he was initially listed when he first came into the league. He’s still listed 6’7 because he’s no longer in the league. I’d believe Embiid to have either grown (if it’s an early morning) or to have been at a low when measured or near a low. He doesn’t look as low as 6’11 but looks a genuine 7’ most of the time likely due to the thick hair. So I’ll give him 6’11.75”. I saw a 6’8.5 measurement for Parker in shoes so I wonder if the 6’9 was due to hair, early morning, or a mistake. Parker does look around 6’7 however as he’s slightly taller than Khris Middleton who is probably 6’6.5 ish (6’6.75 pre draft).

7'5" in shoes is expected for Wembanyama as I believe it was confirmed he was 7'4" barefoot a little while back. If he's 7'5" in shoes and assuming he doesn't grow any further, I think he'll be listed at 7'5" by the NBA.

@Canson side note, I see modern day Sabonis currently listed at 3 different heights. From what I recall he's typically been listed at 6'11" during career but he has 6'11", 7'0" and 7'1" now. The 2019 policy seems to be dying a slow death, thankfully. I know we both dislike it for various reasons. Most players hate it.

@Canson With Sabonis listed at 7'3", it wouldn't be unfair to suspect he was really 7'2" I can agree but I doubt anything below that. However Porzingis does look slightly taller there, the heel difference seems almost negligible both have thin soles.

I'd say he's 6'11 exactly without shoes on and by measuring him to his head. So the same height as Giannis and Joker but cos Embiids hair is longer than both of theirs, they've they've him listed as 7'0
Look at the philly team photo and you'll see that Paul Reed who's listed as 6'9 doesn't seem that much smaller than him & Bassey who's listed as 6'11 looks the exact same height as him if not a bit taller. Plus Embiid said in an old IG post whilst tagging KAT when they were good friends that 'If I'm 6'11, KAT must be 6"9'
So yh Embiid imo is 6'11 at worst and maybe 6'11.5 at a complete best.

Look at the philly team photo and you'll see that Paul Reed who's listed as 6'9 doesn't seem that much smaller than him & Bassey who's listed as 6'11 looks the exact same height as him if not a bit taller. Plus Embiid said in an old IG post whilst tagging KAT when they were good friends that 'If I'm 6'11, KAT must be 6"9'
So yh Embiid imo is 6'11 at worst and maybe 6'11.5 at a complete best.

@Chaos Control: yea this looks like an afternoon height. I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the guys were measured at or near a low here and misrepresented such as Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris. Simmons was likely 6’8.25 and given 6’9.5 in shoes like Lebron was given 6’8.5. Harris measured 6’7.5 when I doubt he’s that tall although he may have grown a hair since being drafted but it’s debatable. Harris measured 6’6.5 when drafted and looks near that next to Simmons so maybe it was that he gained a fraction if that was his morning measurement
@Chaos Control: yea this looks like an afternoon height. I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the guys were measured at or near a low here and misrepresented such as Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris. Simmons was likely 6’8.25 and given 6’9.5 in shoes like Lebron was given 6’8.5. Harris measured 6’7.5 when I doubt he’s that tall although he may have grown a hair since being drafted but it’s debatable. Harris measured 6’6.5 when drafted and looks near that next to Simmons so maybe it was that he gained a fraction if that was his morning measurement

I was a teacher at Joel's high school back in 2012 in FL. I had the privilege of meeting him, but unfortunately I never taught him. I remember they measured him one day as 7'2" in shoes. The shoes had about 1.5", so barefoot he was probably 7'0.5".

I saw him pretty close to courtside last night (up a feet rows), in what may be the last NBA game of the season! I would say he is certainly pushing seven feet, the tallest guy on court usually during the game I'd say but not by a big margin. Parsing out where he falls in the 6'11" to 7"0" range is difficulty for sure. While he's not nearly as massive in frame as someone like Shaq, for such a height, Embiid in person looks pretty bulky and well-muscled, I would've guessed him at more than his listed weight of 249 lb.

Markkanen was actually announced at 7'1 on preseason game last october. Doubt he's that tall though barefoot.

Skip 30 seconds into the video. Does he really look 2 inches taller than Boogie? NO. His hair maybe has you guys thinking he's taller, but Joel seems to be between 207 cm and 208.5 cm. You could also see both of their shoes in the video and Boogie is wearing regular ball shoes just like Embiid. Joel looks 6 ft 9 and 3/4 of an inch. Dirk maybe 208.5 cm like measured and Boogie possibly 207 cm like measured.

Skip 30 seconds into the video. Does he really look 2 inches taller than Boogie? NO. His hair maybe has you guys thinking he's taller, but Joel seems to be between 207 cm and 208.5 cm. You could also see both of their shoes in the video and Boogie is wearing regular ball shoes just like Embiid. Joel looks 6 ft 9 and 3/4 of an inch. Dirk maybe 208.5 cm like measured and Boogie possibly 207 cm like measured.

I don't see Joel being taller than Dirk. Who is not more than 6'10. Dirk was listed 208 cm before they bumped him up to 211 cm, which was his NBA height not his real barefoot one.

What’s surprising or maybe not so much is that Lebron (according to Jackson on his page) measured 6’7.25. I expected higher than that. That means that his year was morning measurements too or maybe he at least and maybe even Wade were. Melo didn’t look like one but 6’5 7/8 and 6’6 could be the same in appearance or more likely he grew. This means Lebron May be a weak 6’7” or 6’6 7:8 maybe
