I'm beginning to think that John might be shorter than this. Paul Whitehouse looked FAR more than a mere quarter-inch taller than John in a 'Fast Show' sketch I saw yesterday.

That was an enjoyable little programme I just saw for the first time! Called 'Zone of Champions', it included clips of loads of tiny little kittens doing stupid feats and a white poodle called Yannis, who broke a world record for a sport called 'poodle spinning', in which the mutt is taught to run on a swivel chair, causing it to rotate. I suppose a dog any larger wouldn't fit on the chair!

John gets 5ft7.75.

Ah! Early this morning, I am watching John play 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire!' with Jon Culshaw! Their chemistry is undeniable and John is playing for a lovely charity he feels indebted to and Jon is playing for an equally worthy cause. They won the amount before the £50, and were very pleased!

As I was watching 'The Fast Show' only the other day, I took in that he's much the height that Rob has put for him. Just a touch shorter than Playful Paul (Whitehouse), John gets 5ft7.75.

@ CD I'm inclined to agree with you there after having my suspicions that John is a touch shorter than Paul Whitehouse proved to be correct; I saw some pictures, and your 5ft7.5 seems to be pretty spot-on! 😊👍

Haven't watched him in Corrie for a while, but seem to remember him looking more 5'7" range with Sue Cleaver, perhaps 5'7.5", which is the guess I'm going for.

That's fantastic! Thank you Rob! I couldn't believe it when he strolled into the Rovers Return the other day in 'Classic Coronation Street', especially as I knew he'd been in it many years later, as someone else, I believe.

I read 5ft9 for this super-funny 'Fast Show' star, who has given me many hours of laughs! I never saw 'Cold Feet', but his many different 'Fast Show' identities have been enough to turn me into a firm fan of his, AND he was the barman in 'Men Behaving Badly'! I can believe 5ft8 for him; he's on par height-wise with Paul Whitehouse, that's for sure!

Favourite character in the 'Fast Show'? That's a difficult one, but I liked him in 'Jazz Club' (based on my mate Bob Harris, who I used to write to and went up town to see back in 1995, with my friend.)

What a great addition, and lovely surprise it is to have John as part of the Celebheights family; 5ft8 it is!😊
