Editor Rob I'm going on the fact he's come out with 6ft 2 a couple of times and giving him what he claims, I think sure he can look 6ft 2.5 at times. Maybe the other people aren't quite as tall or don't have as good posture, or an authorative figure is photographed in a domineering fashion.

Editor Rob Lance generally has good posture on the show, maybe it helps enhance a difference that is 3-4cm to at times more. Yes you could say Joshua generally can look a weak 6ft 1 guy.

Editor Rob it is always possible he is taller and had rounded down, nothing is ever ruled out, but he seems a smart educated man. I think he can have a higher eyelevel at times, I'm sure in hollywood he looks 6ft 3-4 to people.

I know two twins, both 21, one who's been a computer game/WoW addict with poor sleep habits through his entire teen years, and the other who's a healthy jock (involved in both swimming and basketball). Both of them are 5'10 exactly.
I do agree that environmental factors play a part but I think people are overexaggerating their importance. Especially the exercise factor. Height is at least 90 % genetic. There's a reason that the african Watusi tribespeople are tall (most averaging at 6'0) despite not having Western societies range of nutrition. By some people's logic here, the Watusi would all grow to 8 feet tall if they just started playing more basketball. Doubtful.
That being said, I do believe that nutrition plays a big part in height. But, I disagree with comments here that growth would be stunted just over skipping meals back in grade school or not being athletic. The two most out-of-shape people I know are 6'9 and 6'3, respectively.
You would honestly have to be severely deprived/malnourished at an Extreme level (we're talking anorexia for several years during childhood) to permanently affect the genetic building blocks of height. Most all of us average joes and janes reach our maximum potential, despite what our own paranoia might tell us.

i fully agree with mia, height is hereditary, i dont believe it can be significantly altered by diet/excercise. i know a guy who is allergic to pretty much everything, nuts, eggs, milk and other things that would provide him with protein, he is 6-5 and only 16! joshua jackson seems in the 6-1 range to me

Joshua Jackson is very tall and handsome. That said, the last thing I would judge a man for is his height, which is is due to his genetics and unchangeable by even diet or exercise. A couple of Years ago, I think it was People magazine that had a list of Eligible batchelors. It said that Joshua Jackson was 6'0" tall.

Now wonder I thought that 6'2" listing was a lie! I remember watching him on Dawson's Creek in the earlier seasons ... he grew since then. My mistake. He really is around this height. He's taller than he seems.

A couple of years ago, between seasons, It was reported that Josh had grown so much that they had to create a new wardrobe tom accommodate his nearly 6'3" frame. Apparently he did have a growth spurt after the show began.

You guys are right, the first picture that I posted showed a scene where they are standing on a stairwell so that wasn't a good photo. I'll admit that I know or care little about the teenybop/'young' Hollywood crop of B-list actors but that 6'2" listing seemed a little too high to me. But he probably is this height. Who knows ...

Sorry, guys. Josh IS right around 6'2. I worked with Josh(granted, it was a while ago)and he was much taller than me. I'm 5'6, and I was wearing shoes. I still only came up to the bridge of his nose or so. I can't believe there are people who care so much! If you watch any of the Dawson's episodes that have Pacey and Joey together, you can easily tell how much taller Josh is than Katie.(She's 5'8 w/out shoes.)

I can't believe I care, but I was (along with a number of other guys
in my crew) an extra in the first skulls as a rower. The only problem
was that after the initial bar scene that we filmed we were told that
we wouldn't be in the boat scenes since we were too big and too tall. I
am at 6'2" along with two of the others and the other of us was about
6'3". The too big factor was the biggest joke considering we were
lightweights and none of us weighed more than 175. We were rather large
in comparison to him, he is an actor who wears work boots around a
bunch of rowers in flip-flops. If you look in the bar scene when they
are singing and drinking and notice some big looking guys, that would
be us - and we're not big guys - the guys who di row with him were all
about 5-9/5-10". Nice try Joshua
