@Rob: So if Durant is at least 5 inches taller than Kobe who is listed at 6"4.75 on here(which I agree with) then wouldn't that make Durant at least 6"9.75 to 6"10.25 barefoot?
Editor Rob: at times he does look it

Click Here Rob what is the height difference between durant and kobe here?
Editor Rob: a lot of times Kobe can look roughly near Kevin's eyes, sometimes in photos below that, even a bit above. A good 5 inches at least though

Dwight Howard 6'9.25

Kevin Durant 6'9

Lebron James 6'7

All by lowest range with no dispute

Agree, no photo is ideal, but these are the best I've come across. From what I can see only Parker, Paul and Wall are clearly closer than the rest, and judging from what I can see of the feet of the relevant players. Another point being that Howard doesn't look to have grown much since measuring 6'9'' at the combine, maybe 0.25"? Unfortunately the notion that KD (and even Howard) is a "seven footer" has gained foothold in the media. "Don't believe the listing" is uttered at least once each Thunder game ... Same with 7'3" Porzingis. The Knicks measured him at 7'1.25" w/o shoes and 7'2.5" with shoes leading to the 7'3" official listing. Lillard measured at 6'1.75" at the combine (22 years old). Still, I've become suspicious of the pre-draft measurements after seeing Bosh and Noah next to each other.

Those All-Star line-up shots are pretty good for comparing the heights of different player, the only thing though is that if a player is standing slightly closer or farther back compared to others that does impact how tall they appear on those shots. Some players seem to stand a little further back than others at time.

Davis next to Aldridge and Nowitzki: Click Here (Aldridge: 6-10 at age 21)....

The strangest thing in this photo is Damian Lillard next to Chris Paul and compared to Tony Parker, although TP is on the left side of the photo.

Paul (6'0''?) and Parker (6'1.25''?) are obviously closer to the camera but still, Lillard certainly seems under 6'2''.

And Davis seems quite strange in that photo! His head makes him look like a character from The Men In Black films :P

How tall do you think Shaq's son looks next to Kevin Durant Rob? Click Here

I know KD can look super tall in pictures but came across 6ft9 guy like dwight howard he really was not 6ft9 but look close to howard height by a fraction or a cm shorter. He probably just a 205cm guy with shoe at 6ft10

Kevin Durant is clearly taller than Anthony Davis who is a legit 6"9.25 ( look at the USA 2012 basketball picture) and also has more than 2 inches on lebron james (who is listed at 6"7.25 on this site). Durant looks similar to lamarcus aldrige and chris bosh who are both 6"10.25 barefoot(use google image search), the duo does not appear to have a inch on Durant...... Growing after eighteen is not impossible, Kevin durant is more in the 6"9.75-6"10 flat range.. You should check this out
@Rob how can one upload images on here

Hey Rob the shorter guy Eli Manning is listed as 6'4.75" and the taller guy Anthony Davis is listed as 6'9.25" without shoes. Does this look right?
[Editor Rob: it could be near 4 inches, but half inch more with just posture/angle is easy to see.]

Google claims he is 6'9"7/64 which is basically 1/8" I think that looks about right
Bishop said on 8/Jun/15
Rob, can you add Steph Curry? His draft claims 6'2".
Bennett said on 1/Jun/15
yeah but he has a freakish 7'5 arm span and most peoples arm spans are the same as their height

Come on guys, it was a joke referenced to the idea that most nba players are listed 2 inches taller than their actual height, so KD is saying that he is 6'7", because most players who are listed 6'9" or say 6'9" they are actually closer to 6'7".

thx captain

I think it's Kevin Durant's very slim build that gives the impression of him being taller, maybe that's why the commentators often say they think he's about 6'11". It's possible the NBA's listing of 240lbs (109kg) is more than he actually weighs.

Sam, i do know there's noway this guy is only 6'7, i was just wondering why he claimed 6'7 even if he's clearly taller than that! Look at the photo i posted... The grey haired guy has claimed to be 176 more than once and he actually looks 5'9 range with other celebrities... Kevin looks more than a foot taller than him!

Read my comment below. I provided context to why he would joke about that.

With the name, he's far too easy to confuse with the Canadian actor Kevin Durand LOL, I think Durant is much more famous though, generally!

I did the exact same thing too and was about to make a comment about him in Robin Hood haha!! :-)

Looks like 4 inches difference

Rob, is 6'9.75" possible? At times, he looks more than 2 inches taller than Lebron.
[Editor Rob: 6ft 9.5 isn't impossible]

Kevin durant has camera and footwear disadvantage. Lebron is listed as 6'7.25. He is definitely more than 2 inches taller.

not even sure why certain people here would bring up what he said on twitter. he is taller than blake griffin whose height measurement is on video @ 6'8.75 barefoot morning height Click Here

Finally KD is added! Thought he was closer to 6'10"
Sam said on 16/Apr/15
Andrea, there's no way Durant is 6'7" or that he seriously claimed it, the guy seems 6'9" at the least.
MD said on 16/Apr/15
Even by basketball standards, this guy has a strange build. Like, he's that one kid in high school who grew really tall so they made him center on the team, and he eventually fills out, except that Durant - who has been in the league since 2007 - hasn't filled in. There is no way the 240lb number is accurate for this guy.
Arch Stanton said on 16/Apr/15
Do the NBA actually do half listings? I almost always see it rounded to a full inch I think, so if he really measured this and perhaps 6'10.5 in sneakers they'd usually round up to 6'11? All I know is that a lot of players are listed at roughly 1.25-1.5 inches taller than their barefoot height. A 6'7 listed basketball player is usually in 6'5.5-6'6 range from what I've seen.
5ft10 said on 15/Apr/15
I think he's 6ft9.5-6ft10 he is noticeably taller then Lebron and sources outside of the NBA say 6ft10 .The nba at times claim 6ft11!
Tunman said on 15/Apr/15
Rob,Generally despite the official barefoot listings we can argue that the guys are 1-2 cms shorter because measurements are performed in the morning.Durant could be the exception, but is he really taller than his listing?unless he was measured after a game, which I doubt then 6'9 flat is fairer.6'10 with 1" shoe.
[Editor Rob: from looking at him, I think he can pull off being over 6ft 9 at times, so a strong 6ft 9 range I think is better.]
Duhon said on 15/Apr/15
To clear up the 6'7" joke/comment Durant is often accused of being taller than his 6'9" NBA height listing, with many people thinking he's more like 6'11". The 6'7" statement was to sort of jokingly flip that belief.
Bishop said on 15/Apr/15
Good listing. He always looked taller than a flat 6'9" to me.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 15/Apr/15
@Arch: He'd probably clear 6ft10 when he wakes up
Arch Stanton said on 15/Apr/15
You'd think looking at the above photo he was more 6'6 range but you can see here he'd have to be near this. He looks like he has stilts/artificial steel pythons for legs. Click Here Nothing on Jabbar of course but still
Arch Stanton said on 15/Apr/15
Often a guy this height barefoot is listed at 6'10.5 even 6'11 by the NBA.

Rob, what kind of joke was saying he's 6'7? Anyway, how much difference you see in this picture? Click Here
[Editor Rob: maybe if you get asked the question a lot, sometimes you come out with a low value? I've no idea...

With the grey haired guy he looks maybe nearly 2.5 inches under his chin, so a bit more than a foot difference is possible.]
Arch Stanton said on 15/Apr/15
Odd but he's listed at 6 ft 9 isn't he? Taller than listing? That's rare. Based on 6 ft 9 listing you'd expect a similar height to Bjornsson and a whisker under 6'8!
[Editor Rob: I can believe his 6ft 10 shoe claim, but I think he can look over 6ft 9 aswell.]
