I think the ball brothers get measured with their thick hair. None look as tall as they claim. Maybe his 6’7.25 is in sneaks out of bed
Canson said on 27/Apr/24
He’s overlisted the more I see. Here he is with 6’6.75” measured Gordon Hayward and Hayward was measured that earlier in the day. But I guess 6’6.5 for his afternoon

He actually looks taller than Jordan but a peak MJ was never more than 6’4 1/2” or maybe a hair taller in the afternoon. MJ will be 60 next year so who’s to say he hasn’t lost height? Either way I don’t believe LaMelo is 6’5 3/4 at his afternoon height. He was listed 6’6 when said rules Shane is referring to were first implemented which leads me to believe he was actually a bit under 6’6 being he had listed heights up to 6’8 prior to that. Had he really been a 6’5 3/4 guy at his low he would’ve been able to get over 6’6 in the morning and keep 6’7 at least. Rob should reduce him to 6’5 1/2” and Lonzo to 6’4 1/2”. Then LiAngelo needs to be listed at 6’3 1/2” at most. LiAngelo is 6’3 or 6’3.25 tops in reality and Lonzo 6’4.25

@shanegray So weak 6'5 range seems correct for Ant. He might be taller than jordan then. He does have a one inch difference with melo.
He did tell the press " don't let me get to 6'6 or he'd be jordan", seems like he is taller than jordan by half an inch
Shane Gray@ said on 26/May/22
@icecold nba listed in shoes for over 40 years. These players have been listed in shoes their entire lives. New height policy is hated by players and made listings very inconsistent. Before we knew they were virtually all in shoes. Now it's hit and miss.

Shocking how much taller Hayward is than Lamelo.
Shane Gray@ said on 26/May/22
Lamelo is clearly at least an inch shorter than Melo who is slightly over 6'6". 6'7" in shoes. I love his roster listing. Just as it was for 40 years in the NBA (and still is in high school and college) and should be today.
Shane Gray@ said on 26/May/22
@nz they said the 6'6" for Edwards is in shoes.

How does LaMelo get a 203 listing, though? Surely some of the largest inflation in the NBA.
Andrey200 said on 25/May/22
@nz: Edwards is losing more height there due to relaxed posture. He could be in the 197 range if stands straight.

I'm so sick of the NBAs new height policy. 40 year standard of shoe heights gone, all for an inconsistent policy that the players hate, as they've all been listed in shoes since junior high. I wish the NBA would at least compromise and tell teams to measure barefoot and then add 1 inch as standard addition for shoes and call it good. Round to nearest inch at half inch mark. That would be fair. Then you would have to be at least 6'1 1/2" barefoot, for example, to get 6'3" listing. That would he very fair. Anything less would get 6'2" listing.
Canson said on 22/Oct/21

Lamelo is now listed 6’7”. Hayward has about 1.5-2 inches on him and he measured 6’6.75” without shoes in the morning. That means he’s about 6’6.25” afternoon which would seemingly put LaMelo at 6’4.25”-6’4.5” range. Didn’t think he was that short so I’m a little confused.

@Rob

Do you still think he’s 6’5.75” seeing this picture?

@Dillon: I wonder if Hayward was more 6’6.5 afternoon. He did say 6’8 in shoes in the morning though. He did have Jaylen Brown by a bit and Brown is probably a solid 6’5” guy at most. But with Ball, Hayward is standing a bit closer. I agree with Bobby Curls that LaMelo is probably just a strong 6’5 guy maybe 6’5.5”.

He does look taller than a lot of players. I wonder what was up with him saying he’s 6’8 in shoes in the morning though. I’m not sure about LaMelo though. He also looked smaller than Carmelo did imho. If he’s only listed a solid 6’6 on the roster it may mean he’s more strong to mid 6’5 instead

@Bobby ,now that you mentioned it gordon looks too tall to be only in the 198 range he looks taller than the likes of luka and carmelo physically if he dips under 200 then by nothing crazy maybe he dips to 199.5 or so as for lamelo i,m fine with the current listing of 197.5 for lamelo and if godron is a 200 guy then lamelo is a good 197 guy here Click Here looks physically taller than the likes of draymond green.
BobbyCurls said on 8/Oct/21
Based off their media day photos, if Hayward is 200 cm in the afternoon, I'd say LaMelo is 197 range. However, if Hayward is more like 198 range, I think LaMelo is around 195.

I'm starting to think Lonzo is 6'4"-6'4.25" and LaMelo is 6'4.75"-6'5.25" max. Maybe I am downgrading them too much tho.

Here they are both pictured in the same exact footwear (slides). Lonzo is also standing on a mat, so he is getting height boosted in this photo, and still clearly looks shorter than LaMelo. LiAngelo is also standing on a mat too in this photo.

I think Lonzo could potentially be 6'4.25"-6'4.5"ish range, and LaMelo could very well be 1.5 to almost 2 inches taller than Lonzo. I would say LaMelo is definitely 6'5.5" at the minimum, and 6'6" as the absolute upper range I could see him at. LiAngelo's 6'3.5" listing seems pretty fair.

@Canson: I could see Wilder at 6’6” and Carmelo at 6’6.25” possibly. Different photos can make some people seem taller than others when they aren’t. I’ve appeared the same height as people in certain pictures and then taller in others. The thing is Lamelo wears extremely thick footwear consistently plus he has long hair like you said. Both of those could have been factored into his measurement for all we know, Based on how he compares to others I’d say he is 6’5.25” range, maybe 6’5” and a half at best. Always had a hard time buying 6’6” for him let alone 6’8”. I’ve seen a guy claim he is 6’8” and that he met Lamelo and they were the same height. That just seems crazy to me.

I’m about 6’4.5” after 8 hours out of bed and lots of volunteer work. That’s the height I go with. You must be a lot older than me haha. I’m 25 right now, probably stopped growing 3-4 years ago.

@Canson: I can't believe that so many people believed that he was 6'8 or 6'9 at one point, unbelievable.

Editor Rob
there could be near an inch between them, it is arguable 6ft 6.5 for Carmelo
Canson said on 11/Mar/21
@Dillon Rice: I wouldn’t list Wilder taller either so I agree with you. Great post! However Melo is favored. My opinion is that they’re the same height or about the same. I’d list both 6’6.25 or like you said Wilder 6’6” which is possible being he’s at least 3cm maybe 1.5” shorter than Fury. I’m not so sure it’s a full inch but maybe it is. He may be 6’5.25 like Chaos Control said and Melo 6’6.25”. I didn’t grow beyond 18 I believe. I did measure 6’4.75” once or at least was told that I was that when I got measured at a practice once but I think it was in the morning and I’m not sure if it was even that and not 6’4 5/8” and rounded up. That was 20 years ago. I only measure 6’4.75 previously an hour out of bed and now even less. Now I’m more 6’4 5/8 to 2/3” an hour out so not sure if I’ve lost a couple mm due to the disc issues I have. As for LaMelo, I could buy 6’5.5” but the more I see 6’6 is too much. 6’5.75 would probably be around lunchtime though maybe a bit under that mark. Keep in mind he has thick hair too and may have gotten a boost or maybe 6’5 7/8” rounded up to 6’6”.

I wanted to add this tweet from November 2020: "LaMelo Ball supposedly measured 6-6 in shoes with a 6-6 wingspan. Not undersized by any means. But smaller than once thought."

NBADraft.net is a somewhat legitimate website, but who knows how accurate that information is. I honestly believe it though.

6'5 flat from me, but I wouldn't be surprised if LaMelo dips to 6'4.75 or is a bit taller at 6'5.25. I'm not convinced he has a full inch on Lonzo. Either way, LaMelo is playing great and has a bright future.

The ever-shrinking Ball family LOL. The more I look at pictures of them, the shorter they appear. I looked at even more and found some where Melo looks 195cm.
Here are my final Ball family guesses:
Lamelo- 6’5.25”
Lonzo- 6’4”
LiAngelo- 6’2.75”
I think putting 1.25” inches between each of them is fair. I don’t think they are any lower than those guesses though.

@Canson: I’m starting to wonder if Lamelo is a height-fraud, and if he is stuffing lifts in his shoes sometimes. He seems like a height-conscious guy, always wearing thick footwear and standing as straight as possible. I’m not going to make any accusations yet, just a thought. I have seen some pictures where his knee break in his startlingly high.

I see where your coming from with the height comparisons. One problem is Rob has Wilder listed at 6’6.5 on here and Carmelo a quarter inch shorter when he actually appears to be taller. That doesn’t match up to me. Also Lamelo listed only a half inch shorter than Carmelo doesn’t fit either. Carmelo is leaning a bit in in that picture as well. Maybe it’s not as much as two inches difference but at least an inch. All or some of those players you mentioned could have grown since their draft measurements too. I know I was measured 6’4.5” from 19 through 21 and then at 22 I was getting measurements in the 6’5” range. Whether that’s inaccurate measurements or a difference of time of day I don’t know, but I suspect I grew a tiny bit in my early twenties.

@Recapa: my best guess 6’5.5” for him but I also am of the belief Lonzo is 6’4.25 or 6’4 versus 6’4.5. 6’4.5 is best case. JT said he met him and that he was 6’4”

I wonder if LaMelo just has a footwear advantage in the photos where he looks taller than Lonzo. I've noticed Lonzo seems to often wear sandals while LaMelo wears clunky footwear and boots.

Here is an interesting video of LaMelo with RJ Hampton:Click Here

LaMelo does appear to have the footwear advantage. RJ Hampton measured 6'2.5 barefoot in 2017 and 6'3 flat in 2018 when he was 17 years old. It is possible that he grew, and the NBA has listed RJ Hampton at 6'4.

Here are a few a photos of LaMelo and Hampton together:

Carmelo has an easy 2 inches on Lamelo here. There’s no way Carmelo is only a half inch taller. I always suspected 6’6” was simply too low for Carmelo anyways. Just because he measured it barefoot at 19 doesn’t mean he didn’t grow since then. Nearly every picture indicates he’s 6’7” minimum. It’s either Carmelo is above 6’6” or Lamelo ain’t 6’5.75”. Can’t really have both be true at the same time. Think about it this way. If you had to bet your life on Carmelo being only a half inch taller than Lamelo, would you? I would hope not because that would be suicide. Oh yeah and Draymond who’s listed as 6’5.25” here is taller as well...

@Dillon: I’ve seen Melo up close standing next to him. He is not 6’7” he’s max what Rob lists him. I doubt he’s 2” taller than LaMelo Ball. Ball is leaning in. So look at the link below. And scroll over on the pics at the bottom. I doubt Draymond is taller than LaMelo. Maybe similar. Look at Melo in pics next to Bosh etc and he’s much shorter. Same with Boozer.

@Bobby Curls: he may not even be this seeing it again. I have Hayward 6’6.25 (6’6.75 morning). That can look at least 3cm. I doubt he’s shorter than lonzo however. It’s a bit fishy being the hornets have reduced him as much as they did, if they measured him In the morning he would’ve been over 6’6 and perhaps rounded to 6’7” if he’s a solid 6’6 afternoon. My guess is maybe he is Draymond’s height 6’5.25 or thereabouts. I would’ve had him 6’5.5/6’6 before

BobbyCurls said on 5/Mar/21
I'm fairly certain that team photo of LaMelo and Gordon Hayward is photoshopped to have them side by side. They never actually took the photo together.

Although Mitch Kupchak may have been 6'9 range during his basketball career and into his 50s, he looks weak 6'8 at this point.

Look at Kupchak with:
6'6.5 measured PJ Washington:Click Here
Kupchak

6'7.75 (likely morning) measured Julius Randle:Click Here

At this point, I can't see LaMelo measuring in the same range as a player like Kawhi or Doncic. Look at him with weak 6'5 Lonzo: Click Here

@Editor Rob: Any way we put it, Lonzo should be downgraded to 6’4.5”. He’s no more than that. LaMelo could be 6’5.75 or 6’5.5

The argument can be made for 6’5.5 just as easily but 5.75 is decent

This is the height I'd imagine he'd be walking around at most of the day. Then falls a quarter inch below this before bed, and is 6'6 1/2 first thing in the morning.
Chaos Control 6'2.5 said on 4/Mar/21
He’s had the much needed downgrade. Cause he’s super lanky he looks taller standing alone
Canson said on 4/Mar/21
@Editor Rob: another guy who measured 6’8.75 at the combine was Derrick Favors. He went down to 6’9 (from 6’10) in 2019 and is now listed 6’8” on the Jazz roster. Likely because the former was a morning measurement at the combine
Editor Rob
as for Lamello, his big shoes and sneakers do help him outwith the court, I will give him a fraction under 6ft 6
Chaos Control 6'2.5 said on 3/Mar/21
I think the claimed 6’7.25 by his coach would have been a measurement not in trainers, but basketball shoes, which would put the man at a very weak 6’6 barefoot. Conveniently, that’s exactly where I have him at. 6’5.65-6’5.75
Canson said on 3/Mar/21
Draymond is also sub 6’6”. He’s closer to 6’5”. They would be close in height
Therocketjamsession said on 3/Mar/21
Lamelo is definitely not 6’8” nor 6’7” or 6’6” barefooted. He’s slightly shorter than 6’6” draymond that’s barefooted. Lamelo stands short against a lot of 6’6” players and 6’7”. Reason he looks so tall is because he’s a slim 188lb guy. 6’5.5” barefooted should be his real height barefooted.
Canson said on 2/Mar/21
@Editor Rob:

And he measured 6’8 in shoes at the combine

Canson said on 2/Mar/21
The video with Draymond is no good being they’re so close in height and at odd positions. You would need a side by side pic in perfect view for that to be possible to see exactly how tall they are. That said, I could see him being a sub 6’6 but it’s likely that he’s somewhere around Draymond’s height (maybe 6’5.5) rather than a sub 6’5”. He looks taller than Lonzo. He was listed 6’7” and 6’8 before. I’d peg him as a more solid 6’5” guy than Lonzo though
BobbyCurls said on 2/Mar/21
It is surprising how much shorter LaMelo appeared to be than Draymond and Carmelo. Maybe he really is only weak 6'5 range like Lonzo.

solid 6ft6 guy .Same height as Carmelo. The angle in that shot is funny because he can look exactly the same height as the other Melo..I know people who are 6ft5 and they look huge. This kid isnt a small 6f3 guy.
Jim Bartold said on 2/Mar/21
Melo Ball is no way 6’6, I am telling you he’s shorter than lonzo. Barefoot melo will without a doubt measure 6’4. With draymond whos listed 6’5.25, he looked 1 inch shorter and with melo whos listed 6’6.25, he looked 2 inches shorter. He’s in the 6’4-6’4.5 range at a maximum. To be nice we’ll say 6’4.25, but definitely shorter than lonzo. In the nba he can’t wear his super thick shoes, so now his real height is being revealed real quick.

he can look nearer to 6ft 5 than 6 there.
Taklish guy said on 2/Mar/21
Hella overlisted guy. Stood next to strong 6’5 Draymond and was clearly shorter. Took a picture with old school melo (Carmelo) and looked at least 1.5 inches shorter. I would say melo is in reality around 6’4.5-6’5 but wears a lot of thick sneakers than can make him Appear taller.

Canson said on 16/Jan/21
@Ellis: I remember a reference to him measuring 6’6” barefoot somewhere else too. Someone posted it. He looks to be about what you said 6’5.75 maybe
Canson said on 16/Jan/21
@Ellis: then Carmelo is listed 6’7 on one site and 6’8 on the other
Canson said on 16/Jan/21
@Ellis and Rob: they’re never consistent. Ingram is up to 6’8 now. They did that to give Zion an inch more than likely. Then you have Dwight Howard who is 6’9 (NBA) and 6’10 (ESPN) then you have Donovan Mitchell 6’0 now and Simmons 6’11 on one 6’10 on the other. Simmons is 6’8
Canson said on 16/Jan/21
@Ellis: the NBA.com and ESPN websites are inconsistent. They have Brandon Ingram 6’8 on ESPN now and he was 6’7 on NBA. I can see him as someone who wants an honest listing though because of how thin he is. But Zion is listed 6’7 on ESPN
Ellis said on 14/Jan/21
@Rob Paul: Lamelo Ball is listed at 6'6 now(on NBA.com), so definitely pretty close to his real height. I still think he is 6'5.75 though, he looked very close in height with 6'5.5 range Zion Williamson. I can't believe that people actually believed that he was 6'9 in shoes, it is quite outlandish.
@Canson: Are you referring to the NBA.com new listed height? If so, I was unaware until now. I'm still pretty shocked, I feel as if they would list him as 6'7 given how they usually deal with weak 6'6 guys such as Kawhi and perhaps Luka. Anyways, I think it is safe to say that he is not taller than a solid 6'6, evidenced by the new NBA listing. If anything, that would imply that he is shorter than a solid 6'6.
Editor Rob

@Bradley Owusu: I agree with you that he is definitely not 6'4, but he is also nowhere near 6'8. That picture is heavily favoring Lamelo, if you look at any other picture of the two, I guarantee you that Biyombo will appear the taller of the two and it is not particularly close. Check out this photo, Click Here
Biyombo measured in at 6'7.75 at the combine, they're also both slouching an equal amount. That is at least a 2 inch difference. Like I said before, Lamelo Ball is 6'5.75 at a low.

Lamelo Ball is definitely taller than 6'4.5 Lonzo Ball, maybe 6'4.75. In the recent pictures, he looks shorter or similar in height range, but in the game (Pelicans vs Hornets) Lamelo appears slightly taller. I observed him standing next to Brandon Ingram at one point, and he is clearly shorter, not a question. I think Lamelo is 6'5.75, I mean to look that close in height compared to Lonzo, even slouching, it can't be much more than an inch. I can see 6'6 as a lunchtime measurement, but I don't see it as a low, given the recent pictures I have seen.
@Driver: 6'5.5 can be an argument, he(Lamelo) looked the same height as Zion Williamson who is around that range.
Canson said on 11/Jan/21

Canson said on 11/Jan/21

Osn said on 10/Jan/21
Let me clear up this whole Ball Brother height scandal first of all Lonzo is a strong 6'5 1/2 in shoes in the morning no more and no less. I wouldn't consider him to be 6'6" at all even in the morning because if we're going off morning heights then Zion Williamson would be the same height as Lonzo which he isn't true he's taller. I'll link a group photo of Lonzo standing next to 6'8 Kyle Kuzma, 6'7 Brandon Ingram and even 6'9 John Collins keep note of that because he's going to be a key factor in all of this.

Recently Lamelo Ball played against his brother Lonzo in their first NBA match up together. They both took a photo together and Lonzo is clearly taller than Lamelo even when Lamelo is slightly bent over. This is a straight front centered picture with absolutely no angles to show some illusion. So if Lonzo is 6'5 1/2 going down to 6'5 in the afternoon in shoes then that would put Lamelo at 6'4 in shoes in the afternoon. I believe Lamelo is a strong 6'5 in the morning with shoes on and shrinks down to 6'4 in the afternoon in shoes. Remember people losing height throughout the day varies from person to person. I also want to bring back the mention of John Collins. Lamelo Ball recently recorded his first triple double against the Hornets. If you watch the end of the game he hugs 6'9 John Collins and you can see a significant difference in height making it pretty visible for people to see. This is should be enough evidence for people to realize he is nowhere near 6'8. The height difference between him and John Collins was noticeable.

If Lonzo Ball is clearly shorter than 6'7 Brandon Ingram and 6'6 Zion Williamson, and Lamelo is shorter than Lonzo then the claim to him being 6'8 is false and proven false. I don't believe he's even 6'6 until he wears his shoes that have almost a 3 inch lift on them.

My final verdict is that Lonzo Ball is 6'4 1/2 w/o shoes in the morning, and 6'5 1/2 with shoes in the morning. 6'4 w/o shoes in the afternoon, and 6'5 with shoes in the afternon.

Lamelo Ball is 6'4 w/o shoes in the morning, and 6'5 with shoes in the morning. 6'3 w/o shoes in the afternoon and 6'4 with shoes in the afternoon.

Liangelo I can't say because sometimes he looks around the same height as his brother Lamelo so I would say between 6'3 to 6'4.

gordon hayward also mentioned that he was taller than what he thought in person which indicates that he might be close to gordon in height ,gordon measured 200cm early morning which makes him around 198-199cm later on the day lamelo could be a little shorter around 197-198cm range.
Osna said on 5/Jan/21
Lamelo Ball is a strong 6'5" in sneakers. At least under or over 198 cm, which is just about 6'6", a weak six foot six inch. Without shoes, he is 6'4", near 195 cm. If you don't believe this. Just take a look at his games on TV and watch closely at how when he is near a 6'6" or 6'7" player. He never seems taller or bigger than any of them.

He always seems similar in height and frame with players who are 6'4" or 6'5". The league just lies for him, like they always do, because it just sounds good to say "Six-foot-eight guard!!"
Canson said on 22/Dec/20

Canson said on 13/Dec/20
@Ellis: and the Hornets have now officially listed him at 6’8” 🤦‍♂️. I wonder if they measured players again. I did notice that Kelly Oubre has dropped to 6’6” on the Warriors roster which he should’ve been listed last year being he only measured 6’5.75 when he was drafted. In all likelihood he’s Christian’s size if he measured the 6’5 3/4 early morning. He was listed 6’7” in Phoenix last season. I bet if they come out with a report for accuracy purposes he will get 6’7.25 or 6’7.5 on it. Same as Chris Paul who measured 6’.25 and listed 6’1 now. I’m still doubtful on that one. Looks like a shoe measurement
Canson said on 13/Dec/20
@Ellis: so I have Kuzma at 6’7.75. His 6’8” measurement may not have been as early that year. They mentioned it was in the afternoon. I have Ingram at 6’7 flat as he doesn’t look under it imho. Lonzo really doesn’t look over 6’4 which is what JT guessed him when he saw him. Rob still has him listed too high. 6’4.5 would be a good start really because he doesn’t look anywhere near 6’5”. This sheds light on LiAngelo’s measurement because he’s struggling at 6’3 which lines up with the 2nd link. I’m sorry but A 6’4 guy wouldn’t be eye to eye with a 6’2” guy

Ellis said on 12/Dec/20
@Rob: From what I have seen, Lamelo looks around 2 inches shorter than 6'8(6'7.75 at almost 19) Bismack Biyombo, the point is, at the moment he is definitely shorter than him. I find it hilarious that he is listed at 6'8 for the NBA and I can't believe so many people actually believe that it is true. Also, we don't even know when Biyombo got the 6'7.75 figure, it could have been earlier in the day. I'm really starting to buy what Canson is saying about Lonzo, 6'4.75 is a good start, but at a low, he really might be in that 6'4.25-5 range. I feel like Lamelo is 6'6 at a point in the day, but he might be a bit lower than this, no lower than 6'5.75, but that might be his actual low.
@Sachix: On the court, he didn't strike me as being as tall as LeBron. If you think LeBron is 6'8 then I can reassess your credibility.
@Canson: I have Lamelo at 6'5.75 at a low at the moment. I do believe that 6'7.25 measurement but it was in sneakers, and we know that Lamelo wears big shoes. This is the same guy that said Liangelo Ball is 6'5 barefoot, which is absolutely ridiculous(I'm talking about the personal trainer that stated Lamelo Ball was 6'7.25 barefoot)

Blam Spot said on 5/Dec/20
I'm not gonna lie I think 6ft 6 is a little high. If you see the shoes he wears when he looks taller than his brothers, those have 2-3inch heels easy. If you look at the photo with Jermaine Jackson, LaMelo is slightly taller at best considering his massive footwear advantage. They are lying about his height to get him drafted higher. (which worked)
Canson said on 4/Dec/20

I could give lamelo a weak 6'7 if he claims it himself

If we get a pic of him next to Adam silver, then that should be enough evidence. Adam looks to be a good 6’3” maybe a hair over from what I’ve seen.

@Christian: yea I could see the 6’3.25 or .5 solely based off what he measured at the combine. However, after more research, over 6’3 doesn’t look likely imho. I’d have the weak 6’3 over strong
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 26/Nov/20

Of course, a strong 6'3" is still possible for him. I just think that the flat 6'3" is likelier, after seeing more pics of him. I had him at 6'3.25" or even 6'3.5" initially. But I always felt that the 6'4" listing was too high.
Canson said on 26/Nov/20
@Duhon: it could be Lavar’s weight and proportions that influence it. I wonder if he actually was his listed height however. Something is up with the Ball’s heights. I remember JT saying Lonzo is only 6’4 in person which is how he often looks in pics. Maybe max could be argued at 194cm but JT saying that was an eye opener, I’ve noticed the only one who has a pre draft on record is LiAngelo and his doesn’t quite add up. LaMelo is the tallest and his closely resembles his supposed measurement from his coach. The 6’7.25 I believe being a shoe height but I don’t rule out that being a morning measurement. Could he out of bed or an hour out or could be closer to a low. Meaning I don’t rule out 6’5 range for LaMelo (6’5-6’6 range) but also see the 6’6 as his max case. Lonzo and LiAngelo have been called 6’4 and 6’2 before by people who’ve met them. While I don’t believe Gelo is only 6’2, I wouldn’t be surprised if he only ended up at 189-190 range and maximum 6’3
Canson said on 25/Nov/20
@Ellis and Dillon and Junior: so Josh Hart has two measurements. One from 2016 (6’4) and 2017 (6’3.75). That said maybe he’s 6’3.5 afternoon height or possibly 6’3 5/8”. Lonzo still doesn’t have an inch on him. My guess is he’s 6’4.25 best case. Magic had too much height on him to be any higher. Magic appears to have at least 3” and Ingram and Kuzma tower Lonzo
Ellis said on 25/Nov/20
@Dillion Rice: The ball bros recently took a photo together, and it is not looking good for Gelo. Lonzo holds up really well with Lamelo, it is an inch difference, 1.25 inch difference at most. Lonzo is 6'4.5, Lamelo is 6'5.75, and Gelo is 6'3.25.
@Rob Paul: Check out the photo I'm talking about, it is the recent one up on Instagram. Lonzo is wearing a blue hat, but I reckon the top of his head is right at Lamelos hair line, it could even be higher, look how low that hat reaches, it reaches Lonzo's eye brows. Honestly, in that photo, in my opinion, that is looking to be a one inch difference. Lonzo is roughly 6'4.5-6'4.75 at a low, so Lamelo is looking around the 6'5.5-6'6 range, 6'6 tops.

@Dillon: it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if they all inflate 2.5-3” on their heights now that I’ve seen Gelo claim 6’6”. See my pics in my last post. Lonzo’s 6’5” isn’t even close if you see him with Tatum Kuzma or Ingram. He really just looks what JT guessed him at (6’4)”. Same with Josh Hart who measured 6’3.75” and has a 6’4 listing but Hart likely was an early morning measurement. Even if we gave Hart 6’3.5 (more likely 6’3.25-,5 range or just 6’3.25”), a case could be made for 6’4.25 for Zo. It wouldn’t surprise me if they all measure right out of bed plus shoes and round up
Canson said on 24/Nov/20
@Christian: seems a common theme. Lonzo claims 6’7” and LaMelo is mysteriously listed 6’8”

@Junior: it’s not possible what you’re saying though. That’s the max he looks not the minimum. See him with Ingram or Kuzma or Hart. Josh Hart measured a morning 6’3.75”

Btw Liangelo claims 6’6 on his Twitter.

-

That's laughable. I'd put him at 6'3"-ish tops.
Dillon Rice said on 23/Nov/20
@Canson Yeah I’d agree. The 6’6 claim by LiAngelo on Twitter just seems ridiculous to me lol. That would make his brother 6’9 or something.
Chris Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 23/Nov/20
Canson,

I wouldn't think Lonzo is anything lower than 6'4 1/2 maybe JT had more footwear than Lonzo. Also LaVar Ball often look fractionally lower than Lonzo which i don't think he was ever 6'5 more a strong 6'4 closer to 6'4 1/4 now and maybe 6'4 1/2-5/8 peak since he wasn't that old. LiAngelo at worst look 3cm shorter than Lonzo not lower can't be 6'3 flat or under.
Canson said on 23/Nov/20
@Dillon: the 6’6 in shoes is hard to buy. I buy the 6’7.25 in sneaks but it’s possible it was held earlier in the day. However like Christian and Vincent said, it’s ok for a listing and it’s the most

6'6" is ok, but no higher than this.
Dillon Rice said on 22/Nov/20
@Canson Unfortunately I only see that claim from one source and the wingspan at 6’6 seems sketchy low to me. But his height is hard to pinpoint because of the really high soled shoes and his hair. Also he’s very thin which makes him look taller.
Vincent Caleb said on 22/Nov/20
If he got measured 6’7.25 then typically he would be 6’6”. If you look closely though, he wears really thick footwear. For now I am going to stick with 6’6” flat though.
Canson said on 22/Nov/20
I agree with Junior. If the guy was listed 6’4 and is only 6’3, 6’5.5 is the most I could buy for LaMelo. But this isn’t surprising. I’ve said all along that Lonzo and LiAngelo are both over listed. JT has met Lonzo and said he’s only 6’4”. Maybe he’s my height 6’4.25”. That’s how he looks with Magic. LiAngelo was said to be 6’2”. That looks too low but he could be 6’2.5-6’3 range.

@Editor Rob: the 6’8 listing shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. All of the Balls lie about their height

@Alex Lewis: That guy in the instagram picture that Lamelo is standing with was listed at 6'4 in the old NBA, that most likely converts to 6'3 w/o shoes. He is struggling to look 3 inches taller than him, and considering the footwear that difference may be less than 3 inches, but I'll just leave it at 3 inches. The second photo of them, looks more like a 2 inch difference, and Lamelo has huge shoes.
@Canson: Lamelo might be 6'5.75 at a low, 6'6 afternoon height, that is my opinion. He seems to be a little bit over an inch taller than 6'4.5-6'4.75 low Lonzo Ball.
@Rob Paul: When in the day do you think Lamelo reaches 6'6?
Editor Rob
If he got 6ft 7.25 in sneakers then he could be that afternoon....however it was unclear from the podcast - the guy mentioned he thought he was a real 6ft 7 barefoot...

@Ellis: Afternoon height and a low are essentially the same thing. Mine is the same after I’ve been awake for about 7 or 7+ hours unless I do something to exert more

@Editor Rob and Ellis: if he were 6’6” morning he could be 6’5.5”
Canson said on 21/Nov/20
Wow if what Dillon said is true about 6’6 with shoes it’s bad news for the other brothers. They’re 6’4” (max) and that could be a stretch and 6’2 perhaps

If in this IG picture of his high school coach is 6'4 i couldn't see LaMelo over 6'5 1/2 which is consider LaMelo standing a little further from camera in both picture and that 1/2" more footwear. But maybe his coach was atually closer to 6'4 1/2 doesn't concern about a lowball 6'4 listing.
Editor Rob
Jermaine has been called as high as 6ft 5, he was a 6ft 3 back in 1994-5 click here

@Rampage and Editor Rob: the more I see, I agree with Rampage about the shoe height but that could be early morning 6’6” flat. He may only be 6’5 1/2” barefoot afternoon height. But if he is, he would be a normal low of 6’5.5” it wouldn’t be a case where he dipped below unless at an extreme low
Canson said on 21/Nov/20
I’d like to see a picture with Michael Jordan when he officially joins the team to see if he’s really 1/1.5” taller.

6.7 for me. He was measured at the draft combine without footwear! Hornets has him listed as 6.7 exactly.

There was no pre draft this year. His agent provides the 6’7.25 measurement this year. Didn’t indicate if it’s with or without shoes. Honestly with the guy in the pic, he struggles with 6’6”. Not to mention Rob still has Lonzo Ball 6’5 when he’s closer to 6’4”
Canson said on 21/Nov/20

You'd never think LaMelo is a 6-and-a-half foot guy when you look at his thumbnail picture!

6ft6.25 from me. ⛹️‍♂️🏀⛹️‍♂️

6ft8 is a round up from the 6ft7¼ which I gather was a shoe height.

Arguably you could tweak this 6ft6½. Guy beside him is what 6ft5ish, Rob?
Editor Rob
the guy I believe was his high school coach/manager listed at 6ft 4...

actually he's struggling to look 6ft 6 there and that's early this year...given his footwear advantage.

It would be pretty cool if Melo and LaMelo were the same height.

See him rising up slightly on right foot with brother...
RJT said on 18/Nov/20
He's the youngest kid yet turned out to be the tallest.

Could be this or at least 6'6, seem noticeably taller than both his older brothers. Would be interesting to see how he looks next to Melo who is genuine strong 6'6.

@Rob Paul: Thanks for the add! Apparently, there are recent rumors that he measured 6'6 in shoes and possesses a 6'6 wingspan, according to lonzowire.usatoday.com. I highly doubt he is only 6'6 in shoes, however I think there is a very good chance he is 6'6 w/o shoes(after all he got that 6'7.25 figure, which he could have easily worn sneakers that add 1.25 inches to obtain). Just curious, When in the day do you believe he measures 6'6.25? Also, that looks like just about a 3 inch difference with 6'4 NBA listed Jermaine Jackson(probably 6'3 w/o shoes). Overall, in my opinion, I think Lamelo is around 6'6 flat at a low.
Editor Rob
actually those heels Ball look bigger in the second shot on instagram...
