Mike Connors came this close to being Perry Mason before going on to Mannix! Yet he did appear in one Perry Mason episode in 1964,The Case Of The Bullied Bowler. (Who played the judge? Raymond Burr!) In Bullied Bowler Connors Joe Kelley was Andy Anderson's Air Force officer in the Korean War. Kelley had to battle a dutchess who ordered a bowling alley closed after an outbreak of botulism was linked to the bowling alley. But the dutchess killed the bowling alley owner after the owner snitched about the botulism linked to the bowling alley. Seems strange seeing Burr as judge, but he cleared the dutchess after she died from the botulism linked to the bowling alley! Connors was 6'.

@ Sandy Cowell - Hi!
I certainly agree with 6ft 1 for Mike, in the photo above he will have been a fair height even though he wasn't standing up!
6ft 1 will go in my box, without a shadow of a doubt!

I know his face, but as for TV series 'Mannix'? I've never heard of it!
I'm going to have to agree with 6ft1 for Mike Connors. I don't have any alternative!

6'1 would be a midget today? I sincerely doubt that, how can 6'1 be a midget if 5'10 is above average?
Editor Rob: he's referencing a guard, in basketball.
