Just to make one thing clear, Willa Holland is NOT 5'7" or 5'8". I Believe that as much as I believe Nikki Reed is 5'8". If anyone is still watching that show, Willa plays Melinda Clarke's youngest daughter. And if Willa actually is that tall, that means Melinda Clarke and Kelly Rowan must be 5'10" MINIMUM.

Anna I looked carefully at the beach photo you sent. What's good about that photo is that they're all bare foot and you could see who has the advantage on who. I find it interesting that you just compared Mischa to Adam but not the other cast members. Hey, I believe Mischa is more closely to at least 6 feet tall. I say that because watch The OC from last season. Specifically watch 5ft. 7in Willa Holland alongside Mischa Barton. Notice that Mishca towers over her. That is at least a 5 inch differance between them. Making Mishca closer to 6 feet tall.

I'd say shes easily around 5"9. I know someone said about her legs being so long but I'm around the 5"8-5"9 mark and have l ike a 35inch inside leg which probably looks much longer than somenoe of that height.

I don't think the Sharapova photo is particularly useful as her (Sharapova) heel height is not visible. Also Sharapova has everything against her in terms of judging height in this photo; her position in the photo, her posture, the hip-sway, the angle of the shot etc, while Barton is standing perfectly straight on one leg (gaining her around half an inch of actual height), and with her head tilted upwards (adding to her percieved height).
Regarding the photo with Chris Carmack, both he and Barton are leaning on a bar surface and their legs are not visible so we don't know which of the two is losing more height from the lean. Judging from the Baldwin photo Carmak appears to be around the 5'11" mark and in a majority of photos he does appear to have 1.5 - 2" on Barton.
A good photo series to use for comparison (available on Getty Images) is between Barton and MTV presenter Damien Fahey who this site has pegged at 6'2". Fahey appears around 2.5"- 3" taller than Barton (wearing a 3" heel) in all of the full body shots, placing her at around the 5'9" mark.

I doubt so John in the sharapova pic both are wearing heels and maybe Mischa´s heels are bigger and also sharapova has a weird posture in that pic shes not standing straight as mischa is standing as straight as posible , also Tate Donovan always had good inches on her in the oc she´s under 5'10 look at the pic with Amani Toomer she gets dwarfed by him shes wearing flats and looking 5'9

I find it difficult to believe anything above 5'9". The barefoot photo on the sand is obviously impossible to judge with any accuracy as it is not an even surface, but you can clearly see that Brody is standing in a ditch relative to Barton losing him a good 2 inches. I think as usual with tallish wirey framed women people will tend to over estimate their height.

If Mischa is the one in the black dress , yeah brody looks taller look at the top of brody´s head hes almost 2 inches taller than her , also she never looks taller than him unless she is in huge hills, the tallest shes ever looked to me is 176cm (5'9) and thats the tallest she looks in that pic if brody is 179-180cm i have even seen 1.77cm listings for him.

I would say 5'10"-5'11.5". She is tall and she always, and I mean always, slouches on the OC (or she did). I think the director makes her do that. It annoys me, but whatever. lol She is still taller than Ben Mckenzie and Adam Brody even when she does slouch.

I agree with Charlotte she just doesnt have the frame of a 5'10 5'11 girl she can look that in hills but not in flats , Ben is barely 5'8 with his boots his 5'9 and mischa looks around the same or a tiny bit taller than him in flats she´s 5'9 (175cm) 176cm max.

I really believe that Mischa is 178cm- 180cm. On The OC shes always (most of the time anyway) wearing very thin soled shoes but is always taller than Ben Mackenzie (175 max) and as tall as Adam Brody (180cm max).

And in the picture with Megan Gale, she is about the same height as her, at the most 1/2" shorter and to me Megan looks more like 5'11". There is an episode on the OC and she is taller than Adam Brody who is listed at 5'11". So, I think anything under 5'10" is unreasonable. And in the picture with Maria Sharapova, Maria is slouching, but she is not slouching that much. no, in the picture maria is totally slouching and her heels look shorter then mischa's. u can't really tell from that angle, they kind of look like flats to me. plus micha is standing up much straighter. i really don't think she's over 5"9, if that. but 5"9 seems accurate enough. she has a slim figure which adds to her height.

Mischa's 5'9". The girl isn't insanely tall, she loves her heels. She'd be closer to 5'8" than 5'10", so 5'9" is pretty accurate.
Megan Gale is 5'10.5" or so, and Mischa is a fair bit shorter than her.

just saw barton AND sharapova at the marc jacobs show, took a pic w/ maria and walked out right behind both of them. I thought Mischa was more 5-8, but she's definitely AT Least 5'9, maybe 5'10. Sharapova is a giant. just joking, she's gorgeous. i didn't see her heels, but she was about 3 inches taller than mischa. mischa was wearing huge heels, but so was i and she towered.

Yeah I am not really sure about the whole foot size thing...it is hard to tell from that angle. Yeah and I would say 178cm to 80cm for Mischa sounds reasonable seeing that megan is a strong 181cm. Does anyone else think Rob should upgrade her?

Also, Mischa cannot be as small as 5'7" because of her height compared with others' on the OC. redchilli...I'm from Switzerland and there the average height is 5'6 or something like that. I'm 1.71 m tall, have shoe size 37 and I'm still growing. You see..it's possible to be "tall" and to have little feet;-). I think Mischa is 5'8..and that's a good height:-)

Melisa : She looked about 5'10" to me, but I'm not sure - I think she is very skinny, which makes her seem very tall - she is probably only 5'8", definitely not 5'7". As for the ugly part - just my opinion, this way she looks like a real model though I personally prefer girls around 5'3" since I'm 5'8" :)

I am 5`9 and had flats on next to mischa. She is taller. I would guess at 5`10 minimum .Very pretty close up but ackward like bambi or a baby giraffe!!!.She should be taught correct posture then she would be 6 foot.

It should never even be a question whether short women are just as pretty as tall women, I don't think any men ever ask themselves that question. The only guys who would care at all are the guys here who want to be taller and thus want a taller girl out of insecurity. I don't ever even think about a woman's height, unless she is in the 6'4" range. It doesn't even matter to what a man would find appealing.

I totally agree with emma. I'm 5'5" and that's a pretty good height to be but my body is quite curvy and so I appear shorter than I am. There are some short girls out there who appear taller like Sarah Jessica Parker and Eva Longoria.

Ok well I was looking at some gossip magazine and there was this supermodel and Mischa Barton and they had the same dress on and it was that who wore it better section. The super model I looked up was Ines Rivero, and she's 5'11", and she looked so much taller than Mischa. Mischa doesn't look tall enough to be 5'10", I think the old listing of 174 cm was most accurate. Maybe 173cm is better. She's now always listed at 5'8". 5'10" is ridiculous. I agree with 'What', she always says 5'8" in flats, but I def. don't think she's 5'7", she's taller than that. I also agree about the most people don't know their own height. Everyone swears I'm taller than I am, so I will tell people I'm 174cm, but really I am 172 cm. I'm 172cm and 3 of my friends claim I'm 175 cm. But I'm not I'm 172. There's nothing that embarassing about 5'9", I understand if you're maybe 5'10" cuz that's above the average male. But Ben McKenzie is my height. I haven't met Mischa yet. but when I do, I'll tell you. I think she's like 172-173 cm...not 175 she's never been listed as that. why would they underestimate, no one in hollywood does that unless you're above 5'11" as a girl...

Editor Rob downplaying height does happen on occasion. Actually, back in 40's some heights would change for a lady depending on the leading man!

some people dont know their correct height, I always told people I was 5'9 and last couple times at the doctors they said they were being generous saying I was 5'7.5. Sure enough i measured myself and just am tad over 5'7.

But Mischa is not 5'9". 5'8", she's listed as that in every site, sometimes even 5'7", but most likely 5'8". People can be measured wrong, sometimes they take the measurement too quickly, before you can stand up straight.

I don't think she is as tall as 5'9 or but there was a few moments on the O.C. last night where she appeared as tall or taller than Ben and she wasn't wearing heels. However, there seems to be a general consensus on Ben's thread that he is shorter than his official height.

Ok Mischa is NEVER in heels on the OC the only time when she is is at times where they are at a wedding which has been twice the whole two seasons. And Mischa is a bit taller then Ben even when they are both wearing shoes you can tell. I say Mischa is about a 5'9 girl, no less then 5'9.

It is difficult to tell...it is likely that she is playing down her height. I'm a 16 year old girl who is 5ft 10 nearly 5ft 11 and still growing...all my friends are short and this can make you really uncomfortable especially when people make a big deal about it! No wonder she has bad posture, she could just be self-conscious. I've been teased for years about my excessively long legs.

There actually is no minimum height for modeling. For the CATWALK, you have to be at least 5'8"-5'9", but I've heard of fashion models going all the way down to 5'3" and petite models are sometimes even shorter.

for some reason i'm pretty sure it was in 2001 that she said she was 5'7. she would have been about 15 by then. can she really have grown 2-3 inches after that age? 1-1.5 inches maybe, any more seems a little unrealistic for a teenage girl.

I will admit, that having bad posture does shorten ones heights, and Mischa Barton is a clear case of that! So I am willing to admit that she could be somewhere near 5'10, the last end of 5'9, but that is realy hard to tell, cos she does have bad posture! You can see it from that picture with Tery Hatcher!

I would say she is 5'8 feet, either 172 or 173 cm! She is clearly shorter than Ben McKenzie, whom I am placing between 174 and 175 cm!
And she does wear high healls, more often than flats in fact, and due to her slender looks, she does look higher than her height, and as ´Smoke´ said, she is tall, but not super tall by any stretch!
Plus the reason Ben has to wear boots, when tanding next to M. Barton, is because, and as old fashioned as this sounds it is still true, guys should be shorter looking the girls!
