Oh I can see now where the origins of that name came from! It's interesting that he is down as having 2 different heights, I wonder which one of these is right or whether he is actually between 5'10" and 6'0"? He's certainly not diddy and I think that he looks taller than most guys who are a flat 5'10"!
A few kids used to smoke in the yard at school but I have never smoked one cigarette in my entire life, thankfully I was never pressured into it or I probably would have smoked at some stage. I wouldn't be pressured into it now though!

@ Nik - He looks taller than 5ft10! I just checked him out when I saw your comment on the 'Latest Comments' page! He looks anything but 'diddy'! Ha ha ha to that! I have heard of 'Puff Daddy', and reading just now that he has a police record (stating 2 different heights!), the penny has only just dropped as to the origins of the name! THAT can't be very good for the height, can it? Indeed any kind of smoking is so damaging. I'm glad I never smoked a single cigarette until I was 16 1/2, when people were lighting up in the economics lessons because the teacher was lenient! You were regarded as a bit of a jerk if you didn't, but then one boy made a stand and said we were all stupid and I thought he risked being ridiculed for saying that but no, he was respected, just like he should have been! He was of above average height, and maybe his sensible attitude helped him turn him into a guy of 6ft or 6ft1, who knows?

Here is why using photos to compare height isn't always accurate or fully reliable,

These are are a couple of pictures of Diddy next to his MT waxwork

Click Here and Click Here - in these photos he looks the same height as his waxwork as he should look, in fact he might slightly edge it out if anything.

Click Here - but here in this photo, he's looking shorter than it, even thought its at the same place and time as the previous photographs!

Different camera angles, and perhaps even posture can change the perception of how tall someone could look compared to another person, even if both are the same height like shown above! In other words I'm saying guesstimating someone's height based on 1 photograph is not always enough, as its not always an accurate representation of real life.

5'11 maximum, the picture with Wallberg tells you. Wahlberg is very believable at 5'8 and both are in normal (not extra thick) sneakers. The difference between them could be no more than 3 inches. In most of the other pictures he was wearing (or might have been wearing) formal shoes and those would have made him taller than the sneakers.

Ok, time to put this case to rest. Diddy looks at least 3 inches shorter than 6 footer Tyson Beckford here: Click Here You can tell by his body proportions (meaning length of limbs, not musculature) compared to Tysons proportions that he's built like a slightly smaller than average guy. Im guessing his exact height is somewhere between 5'8.25 to about grazing 5'9(5'8.75) and is a frequent lift wearer.

P.S. R Kelly is not 6'1" more like 5'11.5 to a weak 6 foot. There is a youtube clip of him and Jay Z singing "t-shirt" and he is noticeably shorter than Jay(who is 6'1.5) by a couple of inches.

I just watched an entire countdown of Diddy music videos. To my surprise (I initially thought he was overlisted) Rob has him exactly right.

He has a solid inch on Mase in "Mo Money Mo Problems"

He looks taller compared to 5 8 1/2 listed Nelly in the "Shake Ya Tailfeather" video than 5'10" listed Akon does in their "Body on Me" video. Actually, Diddy looks more than 2 inches over Nelly, maybe even 3.

Ran into Diddy outside of a club in South Beach. They had ropes up, but I was right against the ropes, he walked up right in front of me passing me as he walked into the club. Only had sneakers on and I was surprised just how short he seemed. I'm 5'9" and he was definitely no taller than me - maybe an inch shorter (5'8"), small frame as well

i met p diddy in a club in NYC where im from im a even 6ft flatfooted and i was wearing regular shoes and hes at most 5"9 which is average so, whatever, but 5"11 i dont think so , if a person is 6ft and the other is 5"11 u really cant tell the difference unless you look close, but i had at minimum 2in closer to 3, im a say 5"9.5ft topps

rob, he's not further back than glenn, his body is just turned slightly, which would not make him seem shorter (or at least not that much)...in order for their hands to be together in that manner, then he couldn't possibly be farther back...diddy's right shoulder is just as close to the camera as glenn's...he's not even a step further from the camera then glenn...diddy looks 5'9.5'' at best

Editor Rob, I was watching VH1 the other night and they were making fun of the fact that Diddy and Bruce Willis are friends. They showed the two together and Willis looks a good 2.5-3 inches taller in every scene (maybe 4 diff scenes). Out of curiosity, why is he listed so much taller than other sites?

P. Diddy definitely wears lifts. He always looks like a 6'er on TV and awards shows, but my friend's Dad actually ran the NY marathon behind Diddy. He said he wanted to talk to Diddy and encourage him (lol), but Diddy had his "runners" running next to him to keep him from being bothered. Anyhow, my friend's Dad said he was way shorter than he expected. He's 5'10 and ran about 2 feet behind Diddy for a while in an effort to get on camera (lol), and told me he was about 2 inches taller than Diddy. I guess you can't run in lifts. It's sad that someone that successful and powerful is that insecure.

P Diddy is no where near 5'10. I used to think he was over 6' but after discovering this site I started to pay closer attention. He did this Vote or Die Ad for MTV during the last election and he has a picture w/ the cast of the Real World Philadelphia. I can't find that picture online anymore but will post it if it turns up. Anyhow, he looked 2' shorter than Landon in that picture. My buddy went to school w/ Landon and said he's around 5'10, so that would make Diddy around 5'8.

Also, there was an interview on Access Hollywood where he looked 3 inches shorter than Billy Bush, who has stated that he's 5'11 (and I doubt he would understate his height). They had a couple of leveled shots during the interview but other than that the camera kept shooting from an angle that made Diddy look taller.

When I met Puffy at Mariahs album release party he was about 3 inches taller then 5'8.5' Mariah and she was in about 4 inch heels. When I shook his hand we were exactly the same height, I was wearing more of a sandal type shoe and he was wearing dress shoes with a big sole but he was bout the same height as me and I'm 6'1. Im not sure if he was wearing lifts because I didnt ask him to take off his shoes! LOL but He was my height.

I do recall that episode of Making the Band that the previous poster mentions. Chopper, one of the members of the 'Da Band' was a lanky 6'4", by the way. In the episode, Puff asks Chopper to stand up. They stand next to each other and compare arm length. I couldn't help to notice that Puffy looked quite short next to Chopper. But the thing that confuses me with him is that Puff can easily look 6'0"+ in many ocassions. With an ego like his, I think a pair of Sean John elevator shoes in that vast closet of his!!!

Do any of you guys know Bill O'Rielly conservative ditto-head who has a show on Fox News? 6'5" guy, likes to use his height to intimidate people. In his 2001 book he spoke of his interview with Puff Daddy and his disdain for the man couldn't be more obvious (he doesn't like rap!). In the book he called Puff a shrimp and placed him at 5'7". Obviously Puff's taller than this and O'Rielly was trying to put him down as much as he could (or that at 6'5" it's very hard to estimate someones height). Maybe this is where those 5'7" sightings came from.
