Looked 5'10.5-5'11 here, but one thing is certain : we have a lift wearer around, it's either 50 who put some to celebrate his day or André who forgot to put his in his shoes.

@Bill: sorry for the late reply. I’ve never seen Dre next to AI but AI was under 5’11”. His own coach even said 5’10.5. If that’s the case then he’s under 6’0” as well but I haven’t seen Dre with him. I’d actually believe Dre is taller than AI if I had to guess.

If you want to talk close up shots, Carson, look up their videos together on YouTube. Specifically look up Dre Day. Snoop consistently has Dre by 5" or more. Dre's wearing a hat and Snoop can clearly see over the top of Dre's head in some shots. The pic you put up a link to looks like it was taken at a lower, closer angle so of course they're going to look closer in height. Look at Dre next to 5-11 Allen Iverson at the 1999 or 2000 (if memory serves) MTV Music Video Awards. Iverson was NEVER 6 feet tall, and Dre is slightly shorter. I'm not buying that Dre is over 6 feet. I stand by my estimate of approximately 5-11 on a good day.

I still have several DJ copies of this CD single, as a matter of fact. On the official "Friday" soundtrack, though, the height line was changed to "6-1" among a few other lines that had slight changes throughout the song. I've seen Dre stand next to 5-11 Allen Iverson and I can see him scraping 6 feet MAYBE, but not 6-1.

Dre is definitely about 6-1. Looks about 3 inches taller than the 5-8 Eminem, just an inch taller than the 6-0 50 Cent, and a couple of inches shorter than the 2 tall towers, Snoop and The Game. He hunches over sometimes though, which makes him look shorter.

I've been debating this one for years. I would say he's around 5-11 at most. I remember an awards show from a few years back where he was a presenter with Allen Iverson, and Iverson was a shade taller. Everyone knows Iverson is a little smaller than 6 feet, so I don't see Dre as being 6-1, or even a full 6 feet.
But here's another little known interesting tidbit to consider. As pointed out previously, in the song "Keep Their Heads Ringing" which is on the 1995 "Friday" soundtrack, Dre does in fact say "6-1 and 225." HOWEVER, when this song was originally released to DJ's and radio as a single a few months before the movie and soundtrack were released, there was an alternate version with slightly different lyrics. Some might remember that one peculiar line in the original version, which was changed in the soundtrack version, said this: "I use Crest so ain't no cavity creeps in my drill." AND there was another line that was changed as well - the one mentioning Dre's height. The original lyric actually stated "I'm 6 feet and 225 of pure chocolate." Did he really grow an inch overnight, at the then age of 30? Nah, I'd say rounding up, aren't we Dre?

As pointed out previously, in the song "Keep Their Heads Ringing" which is on the 1995 "Friday" soundtrack, Dre does in fact say "6-1 and 225." HOWEVER, when this song was originally released to DJ's and radio as a single a few months before the movie and soundtrack were released, there was an alternate version with slightly different lyrics. Some might remember that one peculiar line in the original version, which was changed in the soundtrack version, said this: "I use Crest so ain't no cavity creeps in my drill." AND there was another line that was changed as well - the one mentioning Dre's height. The original lyric actually stated "I'm 6 feet and 225 of pure chocolate." Did he really grow an inch overnight, at the then age of 30? Nah, I'd say rounding up, aren't we Dre?

Eazy E claimed he 5'6", but next to Cube (5'8") you could see he more like 5'4". I've seeing MC Ren's height placed at 5'8 1/2". If you see pictures of him next to Cube they can verify this, they look nearly spot on.

Denzel washington is 6"0 and in the movie training day with him and Dre, you can see washington is taller. Most stars exaggerate their own heights, so why not just get all of them lined up for an annual measuring day hahaha

Hmm ... Dre was the tallest, by far. Eazy was said to be in the 5'3"- 5'5" range. Ice Cube in the 5'7"- 5'8"; Ren more in the 5'10" zone and Yella maybe just a little shorter than Dre.

I believe Dre's 6'1 cause I've seen pics of him wit Game on The Game's site and in a few magazines and Game's 6'4 for sure and Dre looks about 3 inches smaller.
