Chinybobs. Not even that. Savage was 5'11 max. He was no taller than paul orndorff and he was not quite 5'11. GhanaGe was half s head shorter than sting and sting was max 6'2.

Billed at 6-2 which is hilarious. 5-11.75 imo. 6-0 at a push.

Savage was never more than 5'11. Have a look at him next to sting. Sting was 6'2 max and randy was half a head shorter. So 5'10. 5'11 max.

His baseball stats had at 6ft even at 18 and 19. I can’t see him growing more than that.
6ft even.
On his WWE documentary DDP says savage may have been under 6ft.

I think almost 6ft1 peak. I give Lanny Poffo probably around the same

Both were billed at 6ft2 by WWE and were hitting that mark in wrestling gear

Rob has Savage correct here at peak 6’0.5”.

Always looked 5 inches shorter than peak 6’5.5” Hogan.

Towards the end of his career 1999/2000 when he put on massive weight probably dipped to just below 6’0”, maybe 5”11.75”

RP. Around 5'11?

Savage did indeed slightly edge Orndorff out.
frank burjan said on 17/Jan/19
I saw the video of savage and orndorff again. They look the same height to me. 5'11.
Orndorff if you search old data is listed as 5'11. Later it was changed to 6'0.
Savage is not 6'0. For example if you see him with hulk hogan and lex luger and sting, he is half a head shorter. So if sting is say 6'2, half a head shorter is 5'10. 5'11 just to give savage the benefit of the doubt.

Rick Rude for me was 6'3-6'3.25
A good 2 inches taller than Roddy Piper
In fact he looked pretty much the same as Jesse Ventura did beside Piper
Might be even 6'3.5

The video or Rude and Steve Austin was at a bad angle.
Robert (Fuller) Parker was taller than both so they had to use angles to make him seem shorter. Looks like the camera was off to the left making Austin look smaller also.
Saying that I’d say there’s 3” between them

I remember reading an article in the WCW Magazine where Ravishing Rick Rude had a column in the magazine and there was a picture of Rude & Curt Hennig standing next to each other and they were the same height. Rude made sure and mentioned that Curt was standing on his tip toes. That he was 6'4" and Hennig 6'2". I mean if you count Rude's height when he was in wrestling boots then yes he is 6'4". I feel like Rude was a strong 6'3" barefoot height.

Dicksock ...met the man personally ...he was 6'3" & 238 lbs ...shredded too...when I meet him in 1995. Had the grip of a car crusher when I shook his hand. The kind of man you know immediately not to F with.

Did you ask him his height and weight or are you just estimating? If you are estimating, there is the possibility that you are a little off. I met Bob Backlund and shook his hand, but I don't claim to know exactly how tall he was or how much he weighed. Keep in mind there is very little difference between 6'3" and 6'4" and several factors can affect our estimates. Lastly, I'll just say that if you are right and he was 6'3" on the nose, then how tall was Steve Austin? That would put him at 5'11". Now I've often suspected that Austin was closer to 6' than 6'1", but I can't see him under 6'. I can't imagine Rude was standing on higher ground or had a footwear advantage, so I don't know what's going on with that backstage interview of them. Click Here

How do you know that for a fact? He claimed 6'4" and he looked every bit of it next to Steve Austin. He was about 2" taller than ~6'1.5" Curt Hennig as well. He may not have been a full 6'4", but he was very close to it. Maybe 6'3.5". One thing is for sure: Steve Austin was no 6'1" if Rude was less than 6'4". You talk about facts, THAT'S a fact!

Speaking of Ultimate Warrior's height, I found a match from the mid 80s between him and Rick Rude. There is a long staredown at the start of match. Rude was near 6'4" and doesn't look more than 1" taller than a peak Warrior: Click Here

I can't imagine Warrior at under 6'2" in his prime based on this footage. For those who question Rude's height, look at him with 6'0" minimum Steve Austin:

He looks at least 4" taller to me. Austin only comes up to the bridge of his nose. Warrior was easily at least 2" taller next to Rude than Austin was, and some people think Austin was 6'1" and Warrior was 6'1.5". It just doesn't add up.

Click Here First picture. It looks like the Warrior is taller than Savage by more than 1". Looks like several inches. Warrior being listed at 6'1.5" Savage here currently listed at 6'0".5" Savage maybe wore lifts in his wrestling boots? I know he wore cowboy boots a lot. I am guessing he wore those in any event center promos with him and Warrior back in 92. google search under images Bret Hart and Randy Savage. Bret is clearly taller than Savage in all four of the pics that come up. in my opinion he is in the 5'11-5'11.5" range. maybe Randy could have hit 6 feet in his younger days or getting out of bed? who knows.

If by half an inch, you really mean 2.5"-3", then yes you are correct. I just linked a clip on here that irrefutably shows Warrior was several inches taller than Savage. I suggest you watch and especially watch at 2:54 when both guys are standing straight. The 5'11" estimates come from the fact that he looked shorter than 6' Bret Hart and was at least 2.5" shorter than 6'2" Ultimate Warrior.

Ultimate Warrior: 6'2"
Randy Savage: 6'0" (solid)
Warrior only looks 2" taller there to me ...

Keep in mind that Warrior was leaning in and looking down at Savage for most of that interview. I recommend giving that clip another view and pausing at 2:54. This is when Warrior actually stands to his full height. It's hard to tell because of his hat, but it's hard for me to imagine there was less than 3" there. Click Here

Rob, what say you about that clip? It's seems impossible that Savage was 6'0.5" and Warrior was 6'1.5". It seems more like 5'11.5" and 6'2.5". Again, 2:54 of that clip seals the deal for me.

About time you added one of the GOATS in wrestling history. I am not sure where all the 5'11, 6'0 listings are coming from, I think he is a legit 6'1 man, maybe 6'0.75 at his worst. True, he did wear lifts and his famous cowboy hat, he was a bit self conscious. But you had to remember, at that time, 6'1 was still considered small for the wrestling business, when they were many 6'5-6'7 300 lb monsters walking around. Not to mention, Hogan, who I think was Savage's biggest rival in terms of wrestling and being the face of wrestling, was a minimum of 6'5. He looked about half an inch shorter than Ultimate Warrior in their face downs. Now bite into that Slim Jim..... Oh yeah!

Ultimate Warrior: 6'2"
Randy Savage: 6'0" (solid)
Warrior only looks 2" taller there to me ...and there are many other pics, vids & matches of Warrior vs Savage, where the Warrior truly only looks 1.5" taller.
Savage was 6'0" in 1997, I Swear on it! And I could buy a peak 1980's Macho Man being 6'0.5" as Rob has suggested.
My opinion:
1987: 72.25" to 72.5"
1997: 72"
2007: 71.5"

I'll just say that if Randy was 6', which he may have been, Ultimate Warrior's peak height should be raised to 6'2-6'3" because it seems clear that he was 2-3" taller than Randy: Click Here

Here's a good video from 1993 of him and 5'10-5'11" Jerry Lawler: Click Here

Kind of hard to tell the difference between them, especially because Macho has that hat on. But, there doesn't seem to be very much of a difference. I'd say Macho looked an inch or so taller, but there is also a chance he was in cowboy boots.

Here's a video from 1984 with Randy Savage and ~5'11" Lance Russell: Click Here
Savage was wearing cowboy boots and looks about 2" taller than Lance. He may have been 5'11.5"-6' legit at his tallest, but appeared 6'1" in cowboy boots. Probably down to 5'11" even by the NWO era.

He was taller than 5'11" in the summer of 1997 when I met him. I was 21 years old...he would've been 44 at the time. I'm 5'11" barefoot. Morning: 5'11-1/4" & evening: 5'10-7/8" ...ever since I was 17 years old. And he was taller than me by a solid inch. Like I said before..he looked spot on 6'0" to me then. It was odd, standing with my legit 6'2" barefoot best friend, He looked 6'0-1/2"...however, when I shook his hand & looked him over ...I pegged him @ bang on 6'0"..based on my 5'11" status. Only way Savage was only 5'11" @ age 44, is if he was wearing some type of eternal lift in his boots? We had on very similar footwear that day. He had on what looked like 1.8" to 2" cowboy boots...and I had on 1.75" sketcher logger boots. My friend had on 1.25" Nike Cross Trainers.

Side Note: Hulk Hogan once side Randy Savage was only 6'1" & 195 lbs when he broke into pro wrestling ...and that he was only about 220 lbs when the WWF was billing him @ 240 in the mid 1980's . Hogan was trying to describe Savage as maybe the most successful smaller man in the business back in the 80's & early 90's ...he was attempting to brag on Savage & compliment him. However, it came across kind of back handed. Hogan also went on to say that Savage got really jacked later on in his career in the WCW & got into the 230's for a while. I personally met Randy Savage in Roanoke, Va in 1997. He looked 6'0" (maybe 6'0.5" max) ...but, honestly ...more like a spot on 6'0" to me. He also looked about 230 lbs the very least 225.

I would bet anything on this planet that Savage was not 6'1".

He was easily 2-3" shorter than Ultimate Warrior, who you have listed as 6'1.5". Click Here

He should be lowered to 5'11" in my opinion. Definitely not above 6', and that is not even up for debate. Zero chance of him losing height by the early 90s. Always had a lean physique, had no injuries, and was only 39/40 years old in 1992.

Here he is in 1986 looking no more than 4" taller than 5'7"/5'7.5" Mean Gene: Click Here
