What estimate would you give Jey Uso next to 6'0.75-6'1 range Shinsuke Nakamura? I would say Nakamura has around an inch on Uso.

It does seem near an inch difference.

Could be 6'1 flat
Savagetez said on 14/Jan/23
6'1-ish give or take 1/4ish.

@Mark Edward from what I've seen, I say

Shinsuke 6'0.75
Hiroshi 5'10.5
Shibata 5'11

It all comes down to how thick their wrestling boots are, usually the Japanese footwear isn't that thick.

How?
Savagetez said on 3/Jun/22
Shinsuke could honestly be around 6'1.5
Michael187 said on 14/May/22
Always looked a solid 186cm to me. A boost to 6'2" by WWE seems surprisingly reasonable considering their past exaggerations, and that could easily be his early morning height.

Wrestling heights requests:
Usos
Riddle
Priest
Theory
Mcafee
Okada

U need to add the usos and riddle mate i think they are around 6ft tall
ChristianPerkins said on 13/May/22
@AJ
I don't watch NJPW all that often so I might be wrong, but I think Okada's the tallest Japanese there currently too. Looks to have nearly an inch on Nakamura in the pic.
AJSherick said on 12/May/22
Most of the guys in NJPW look around 5'9/5'10. Kind of an impressive average honestly. Only a few guys are around that 6+ mark, and most of them are non-Japanese. Okada's the tallest by a lot now.

@Mark
Tanahashi could be around 5'10". He's billed at 181cm, which isn't ridiculous by wrestling standards, considering some guys get inflated 3-4 inches or more.
Daniel Lee said on 10/May/22
Very tall japanese
Mark Edward said on 8/May/22
wow i thought he was taller especially when I watched him in NJPW.

Click Here any guess for Hiroshi Tanahashi (the guy in the middle)? I see him more in the 5'9/5'11 range
Sepanta said on 7/May/22
I've always guessed him at 6'1.25-6'1.5

Yes. I just tweaked my username a bit.

No, Christian! I’m referring to the motorcycle movement! 🏍

By Californian Angels, you mean the MLB team that is today known as the Los Angeles Angels? Probably my favorite team in all of baseball right now, not that I'm big baseball fan or regular watcher.
Leighton Tang said on 6/May/22
@ChristianPerkins Are you and Christian 6'5 3/8 the same person?
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 6/May/22
Ha ha - Make that Californian angels, and also the Oakhill. (I think that was what they were called!)
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 6/May/22
@ Christian - We didn’t, but looking back now, it was rather funny! At 21, I stayed a couple of months in a squat in London’s East End with two male friends, and we’d frequently hold parties there. That’s how I met the president of the Hell’s Angels, England, Peter ‘Buttons’ Welsh. I used to hang out with him when the guys were fighting, but throughout that time, I had no idea who he was. He treated me with the utmost respect. I’m currently in the throws of watching a Hell’s Angels film about the Californium Angels, starring Jack Nicholson. My friend Buttons got permission to set up the English Angels from Sonny Barger, who was the major advisor in the film.

@ Christian - I never saw him in them either. He might have worn Cuban heels, another fashion from the 70s.

I knew a guy who kept his 70s Cuban heeled shoes into the early 80s and they smelt so frightful that nobody would go upstairs when he’d been wearing them, and the stench had been reactivated!
😂😂😂

I'd doubt it. May didn't wear crazy platforms, at least not that I've ever seen.
ChristianPerkins said on 6/May/22
@Daniel
Yeah, I can't see Cody being more than what you have him at. He was noticeably shorter than Rollins who I don't even have at a full 6'1".
Daniel Lee said on 6/May/22
yeah a weak 6'1, i would to say he is 1 cm taller than Cody Rhodes
ChristianPerkins said on 5/May/22
@Leighton Tang
That's possible too.

@Chaos
The only conversion error I can think of is if they multiplied 73.5in x 2.64 instead of 2.54, and they got 194.04 which would be over 6'4".
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 5/May/22
Maybe it was his shoe height. Christian and Chaos….🤔

It was back in the 70s, after all!
universalstar said on 5/May/22
Rob did u see him in person? Are u keeping the photo of him with u as a surprise?
Editor Rob
I've never met Nakamura

I wonder what made them go with 6'4" for May? Especially being that May himself claimed 6'1.5"

I’m guessing a series of translation and conversion errors corrupting the claim
Leighton Tang said on 5/May/22
@ChristianPerkins I would think that the magazine was written before the internet was readily available, so they may not have been able to easily find out about his height.

It certainly is, Christian!

As a teenager, I’d see pictures of the members of Queen signing autographs for Japanese fans, as they were very popular there, and that messed with my perception of the band members’ heights, especially Freddie’s, but I DID read that Brian May was 6ft4 in my teen magazines.
ChristianPerkins said on 4/May/22
@Sandy
I've read somewhere before that 6'1" for Japan is the equivalent of 6'4" in America as far as percentile goes (both 99th), so he's definitely tall for a Japanese.
ChristianPerkins said on 4/May/22
Unexpected but nice add. I had him guessed at 184-185 for a long time too.
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 4/May/22
What an incredibly tall Japanese man! 🤭

6ft1.

I wouldn’t have guessed under 6ft1
