Rob what would you guess for director James Wan, would you say as low as 5ft 4?
Editor Rob: yeah he could be towards that range...

5'8.5

He looked near 3in taller than Cruise

Watched The Firm the other night, i thought the looked 5'10 in that. Would a 70 year old guy really lose close to 2 inches in height? I could see a weak 5'9 nowadays and flat 5'10 for his older films.
S.J.H said on 25/Jan/17
His peak weight might be 180 pounds but look under 175 nowadays
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 21/Jan/17
Looks lighter than 180lbs...

when i first saw the saw movies i thought because of his voice that he was a big man around 185( there was never any scene where he stood up i was just basing that of his voice. but looking at this photo we can clearly see that he is about 1 cm maybe 2 at the most taller than rob so now 174,5 and peak cant really have been taller than at the most 180 so 178-17 looks fine

Sorry to say it Rob, but I think that Tobin and Cary Else's have the same height. Seriously, I may be wrong, but I really think their heights are very close and the difference between them is about a few centimeters. Watch the pictures with them and you'll see. But again, I may be wrong since I never got the chance to see Tobin.
Editor Rob: Kristen, I do feel in person Cary looks noticeably (a couple of inches) taller.

donnie whalberg seemed to beat Tobin up really bad in saw 2. But how much does donnie weigh 203 or 210 pounds?

Dude, that was a movie. A MOVIE.

Do u think he could do that to Tobin in real life?

Tobin was playing a weakened, dying cancer patient. Someone in much worse physical shape than he was, or is today. I have no clue as to whether or not Donnie would have the ability to kick Tobin or John Kramer(AKA Jigsaw)'s ass in 2004, 2016, 1982 or any other year and frankly, I don't care one bit as it has nothing to do with anything that's being discussed on this website. It was just an odd and irrelevant bit of speculation on your behalf.

It's not fat.

"Fat" is a relative term. Depending on proportions, build, weight distribution, and presence(or lack thereof) of muscle of mass...yes, many WOULD consider it to be "fat".

180 at 5'9.5 is pretty average IMO. Unless you have a small frame

That is a BMI of 26.2, which is "overweight".

Rob 180 pounds seems exzaggerated cause he always looked skinny

180 pounds isn't that heavy. That's my current weight (ranger between 175-184 pounds these days at 5'9.5" and I'm far from big.

I remember you talking about how you were under 130 lbs, down from 200+. "Big" is a pretty broad term, but at your height 180 lbs would either look very paunchy or very muscular. Certainly not the slender-ish appearance that Tobin seemed to consistently maintain.
James B said on 12/Dec/16
Danimal I would have guessed Tobin bell at 154 or 165 pound range

My brother is 6ft and weighs 189 pounds of muscle and I can assure you people describe him as 'big'. When they say 'big' though they might also be referring to his height not just his weight/bulk.

It just happens that I have a bigger platform to show photos than most other people who put it on their facebook/twitter etc.

Not according to Rob, who has met him. He's listed here as 176.

James B said on 2/Dec/16
What do you think he weighed in 2005 rob?
Editor Rob: he might not have been that far off his resume weight. He looked a lot more fitter and definitely at least 5ft 10.5 range in the 90's, In the line of Fire and Firm he looked far taller than he did in person this year.
CD said on 2/Dec/16
Rob, how tall do you think Leigh Whannell looks with Bell and Emerson? 5ft 6.5?
Editor Rob: Chris, yes I'd say nearer 169, although he has pulled off looking 170, James Wan can look near 3 inches smaller than Chris.
Strong 5ft9 said on 1/Dec/16
Kind of funny, somebody thought he was 6'1 and a half. But in reality, kind of pushing it. Overall, weak 5'9" is probably most likely these days.
Leonardo 1.73 said on 1/Dec/16
Does he says you: Its the game time?
Editor Rob: no, but he seemed quite a friendly guy that day from what I seen. Not as scary as Jigsaw!
James B said on 1/Dec/16
Rob 180 pounds seems exzaggerated cause he always looked skinny
Editor Rob: James, I don't think it's that much of an exaggeration, especially if he was over 5ft 10 20 years ago, he probably could have been near it.
Csimpson 6ft said on 1/Dec/16
really? im suprised about that he looked a decent 5ft 9 guy with you, when was this photo taken?
Editor Rob: in the afternoon, I'd definitely be at my low, although I am losing height like him.

this is My dad at 5ft 8.75...in person honestly he really looked no taller, although I could be wrong of course!
6'1 cowboy said on 1/Dec/16
IMDB now has him listed as 5'10 1/2, which could have been his peak height.
Shredder said on 1/Dec/16
Thanks Rob , He wasn't losing as much as I thought .
Editor Rob: Shredder, he is losing height, but I'm standing at most 5ft 7.5.

If I stood at 5ft 8 1/8th here, he'd look shorter, if I moved my head 2 inches forward to be on the same plane, maybe he'd look 5ft 7.5 at most.
Shredder said on 1/Dec/16
Exactly Csimpson 6 ft , he looks to be losing about 1 inch in posture , he isn't under 5'9.
Editor Rob: he's really a weak 5ft 9 in reality.
Sandy Cowell said on 1/Dec/16
Tobin looks like a real gent with you Rob, which is more than can be said for the characters he plays!
From this picture alone, I would give him 5ft9, though I do appreciate that he has been taller.
It is interesting news to learn that he was in 'Goodfellas' and I'm not exactly proud to say that I saw it recently and failed to notice him!
Andrea said on 1/Dec/16
Lol, a solid inch taller??? He looks slightly taller than Rob in the picture... Half an inch AT THE VERY MOST! Actually, Rob's father looks taller (in the picture from the HC)!
I don't know about his peak! I did watch all the "SAW" movies but I didn't pay much attention to his height (apart from the fact that he was already in his 60s by the time of the movies, so he probably had already lost something by then)...
With Michael: Click Here
Anyway, he looks around 174 with Rob!
Editor Rob: Andrea, he's actually very close to Emerson in person, at least in 2016, but he is a stick on to have lost an inch through his 60's.
James B said on 30/Nov/16
Reminds me of Willie Nelson
Csimpson 6ft said on 30/Nov/16
I can see 5ft 9 for him possibly even stretch to 5ft 9.5 if he was stood up straight in the photo, looks a solid inch taller than Rob

6 foot lol. Try about 5'8.75.
6'1 cowboy said on 30/Nov/16

Shredder said on 30/Nov/16
Could be over 5'9 if his posture is really bad
CD said on 30/Nov/16
Kind of looks 5ft 8.5 here but that could be due to posture.
Lo sgozzatore said on 3/Nov/12
Rob, he looks at least 3 cms shorter than Cary Elwes, who might be even 180. Maybe a 177-178 listing is closer?
[Editor Rob: he's a guy who looks like he doesn't have as good posture as others ]
Maximus said on 10/Sep/11
So is he 5' 10.5" or 6'1".....
RICHARD said on 13/Jul/07
In Saw he DID not stand next to 5'11 Cary Elwes nor 5'7 Leigh Wannell so he could be the 5'10 he is listed at. He's probably in his 60s so he might be 5'9 to 5'10. I've seen him listed at 6'1.5 but I don't buy this height
sam said on 11/Jul/07
Yeah, I saw a minimum discrepancy of 4 inches (more 5") between him & a still not-fully-dowager-humped Clint in In the Line of Fire. 5'10.5" would be about right.
Vampire said on 19/Dec/06
I do agree with you. he is less than 5'11

Bell does look rather tall in the range of six foot in some of his pictures. At wire image Bell Towers over Shawnee Smith in most of them. There is also the one where Bell is standing by this one girl with black hair in a white shirt with very high heels, and she still only came up to about his chin.

Tobin Bell is 6'1 and a half

[Editor Rob: *noticeably* several inches shorter than Stephen '6ft 1' Collins in a film they done...]
Editor Rob said on 21/Jun/06
Was in a 1996 movie and doing scene with Stephen Collins was easily 2 inches shorter...
