I agree with Rob that whilst 5'6 1/2 would be possible for Tom too. Solid 5'7 no way but 5'6 3/4 stand more chance still he deserved 1/4 downgrade.

Rob, how could you possibly think he is 5’7? So much evidence that he is more on the 5’6 side. Only 2 inches taller than 5’4 Batalon and 1.5 inches shorter than 5’7.5 Lewis Hamilton. You can check tom’s ig for all these pics man. Needs a change quick.

5ft 6.5 for Tom isn't exactly impossible, 5ft 6 flat though...I am not sure he looks that small.

Rob, have you seen him on the Ellen show? He is visibly shorter than Ellen who you have listed at 5’6 on your site. Jaden smith who you have listed as 5’7 on your site is taller than Ellen. Tom is no more than 5’5.5, and even that might be generous

@TheBat, taller down South?? That is genuinely the dumbest statement I've ever heard. Texas and California both have equally high percentages of Mexican-American Populations, while NY has has the same composite population from the British Isles and actually a higher percentage of Nordic Americans, who tend to be taller. I've been to Texas, plenty of laughably tiny men carrying firearms. Maybe that's why they need to.

The average American man is 5'9"-5'9.5". The only Americans you would see on average at the 5'8" range is New York, California, and Hawaii. Go to states in the South or Midwest and you'll see many Americans as high as 5'10"-5'11".
Chris Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 31/Oct/19
@ASG Average american male height at 5'9 1/2 is mostly likely a fraud with shoes measurement. I can't see much guys on average over 5'9 on the street when living there for quite sometimes ago. It's more like 5'8-5'8 1/2 guys everywhere just not 5'9-5'9 1/2. That was the big city i visited several times in chicago, NYC and LA i would have gether an average height of 5'8 1/2 for male and 5'3 for female and in my native country CA average height were estimate on the internet to be an inch higher but the fact for male is 5'7 1/2 and female 5'2 1/2 not more on the average side.
ASG said on 10/Oct/19
@TOMMY7
You might grow another inch or 2. But even if you are done growing, 5’11.5 is by no means a bad height. In shoes you’re probably about 6’0 tall and you’re still taller than most men in America by 2-3 inches.

Good chance Tom is more 5'6.5" range typically after seeing comparisons with his co-stars.

Also recently saw a Marvel exhibit with dummies wearing the actors costumes (I know its hard to judge height from a dummy wearing clothes but commenting anyway). Tom's spider suit looked extremely short, RDJ's Iron-Man surprisingly tall (lifts incorporated in suit?! more likely stuntmen wore them), Hemsworth's not as tall as expecting (perhaps eschewing the Thor boots makes a difference) while Pratt's Star-Lord looked fairly tall and bulky and Jackson's Fury and Blanchett's skin-tight-looking Helga costume on both the tall and lean side.

Spotting lifts is hard when it's half inch, but if a shoe is an actual elevator, then it becomes easier to spot due to the extra amount of leather that the shoemakers incorporate.

Robert James Buehner 6'5" said on 25/May/19
Spider-Man has always been average at everything in the traits department. He is supposed to be 5'10", even in high school. Go back and read the 1960s stories. This makes Flash Thompson at least 6 foot and someone like Harry shorter than Peter as Norman mocks Harry's prowess on several occasions calling him "weak", "punny", etc.
One of the tallest superheroes is Captain America at 6'2" as far as earth bound heroes go. Yes, granted Thor is much taller at 6'6" but he is an Asgardian god, semi removed from the Earth and so towers over most Marvel superheroes, especially Spider-Man and Iron Man who is 6'.
However, all of that said, this is not a problem in film as you can easily make an actor appear taller, fatter, shorter, etc. So, the real problem and the reason the edge will always go to Maguire is how the actor embodies the character. Maguire is cute enough and modest about his looks like PP has always been. TM is decidedly average looking compared to pretty boy Garfield or boyishily handsome Holland. Maguire's voice is fine as Spidey gains more confidence throughout the early 1970s until Green Goblin kills Gwen Stacy, then he is tterly crushed. TM does this beautifully with MJW in the 2002 film. He finally realizes that he has a grave responsibility in being SM.
My biggest problem with the initial Sony outing is the look of GG and that Defoe is a tad bit taller than TM, which is awkward, looks kind of goofy in two shots, as the true NO is 6'4" (nearly my height). However, TM manages to use his lower stature to extreme advantage, which something that SM truly did do as he is 5'10" and Norman is 6'4". Maguire is just a much better actor than the other two. This might be due to the fact that he started acting at an earlier age (14) and literally grew up in the fast paced film business in LA.
Whereas AG and TH simply never embody SM, if they truly did they would be more profitable and likeable than TM and that has yet to happen, this of course taking inflation into account. SpiderMan 1, 2, and 3 are still higher grossing than any of AG or TH films. 2002 and 2004 are still considered the best versions by most superhero scholars (including myself).
SM-HC just does not work. Peter does not tell anyone he is SM until MJW and he get married which is a good 20 years later. He definitely would not tell this imaginary best friend about his high webslinging escapades that the MCU writers have dreamed up. Peter is bitten later in High School, then say 9 grade as Homecoming would suggest. He is probably bitten in 11 to 12 grade and is pretty much fully grown by that point as he is already taking exams to get into college. His muscles get bigger and Maguire does that famously in SM 1.
The issue: I understand that people at Disney want to push the timeline back and say he was bitten earlier but that does not mesh with history. He is rather mature and accomplished by the time he is bitten. He does not need a sidekick in Ned and likes to sling it solo.
It is not so much that I mind giving him this even nerdier best friend, it is more a matter of his reluctance, like Batman, to trust anyone. Parker has always felt that he must carry that burden alone, foresaking close relationships until Harry and MJ, instead he busies himself studying science, caring for Aunt May, perfecting his spider skills, and avoiding any supergroups like SHIELD, the Avengers, FF, etc. He is NOT a joiner and in fact saves Stark and his frinemy the Human Torch numerous times.
I could go on about his true superheroic nature but I will simply close by saying that the MCU is pure outlandish fantasy, not canonically accurate, and extremely great fantastical fun, just enjoy them for what they are.
TM is the closest a screen SM we will ever get and that makes sense as it is well before the Disney take over of Marvel which has chosen to rewrite the entire Marvel history by tying everything to SHIELD. In that sense, SM 1, 2, and 3 are true Marvel Films with Lee all over them. A close second interpretaion is the 1990s FOX animated series. The Timeline in that is wonky but characterization is correct (cockiness, loneliness, neroticism, loyalty, etc.) Check it out.

Believe it or not, this Spider-Man is similar to the Ultimate Comics version, the entire MCU is similar to the Ultimate Universe, in which, all Peter Parker´s stories take place in his High School days, a Peter Parker that doesn't exceeds the 17 years old and It's only 5'5. So before arguing that Peter Parker has always to be above average (which is not the case because he is on average level in regular comics 5'10) please read a little bit more about him, and consider that Tom Holland is also, above that Ultimate Spider-Man height, being almost very close to 5'7. He is a great actor and Perfect for the role.

@JollyPop Height DOES matter, spider-man is supposed to be above average height and tom is far from average, he is short AF, what if tom holland was 5’1 and weight only like 90 pounds, would you still care more about His performance? and judging by homecoming, everyone in that movie is towering over him, heck EVEN his love interest liz and mj were towering over him, speaking of tobey maguire, tobey is no longer widely claimed to be the best spder-man, Majority of people perfers Tom Holland more than tobey maguire nowdays, the reason why people think he is the best spider-man is simply beacuse two reasons, (1) he is the first live action actor to potray the character on the big screen, (2) many people grew up with him which effects huge nostalgia. same think is with micheal keaton’s batman, many consider him to be the best batman beacuse of the nostalgia. Robert downey jr usally wears 5 inch heels to appear much closer to the 6’1 tony stark from the comic’s so RDJ’s height doesn’t even matter beacuse he always wears high heels to appear much taller, why can’t marvel do exact same thing to tom holland, make him wear 4 inch heels to be closer to be 5’10 is how spider-man is meant to be.
JollyPop said on 30/Jan/19
@6ft2dan Tobey Maguire is 5'7" and yet he's widely claimed as THE best Spider-Man (also, Tony Stark is 6'1" in the comics, a far cry from RDJ's 5'8"). So height doesn't matter as long as the performance is good.

He is 5’6 jeez, i can’t picture him as adult spider-man, simply beacuse he sounds like he is 14 years old kid who hasn’t hit puberty, too young looking, way too short, adult spider-man should be atleast 5’10 , 5’11 or even 6’0, i wouldn’t take him seriously as fully grown 5’6 spider-man.

@Celebheights 6'1.5" Ok i fully agree what you were saying, my mistake, i didn’t clearly read you’re comment correctly, i simply though you were one of those people who hated andrew garfield as spider-man mainly beacuse of he doesn’t look nerdy enough/too cool, andrew had tons of pontential to become a great peter parker if his character was written better, people dislike his peter parker beacuse he was acting like too much of a douchbag when reality its the screen writers and the directors fault not andrew, he was just there to act and be told what to do.

I agree the point of that the actor has to altleast looks the part of some extent, but not DEAD ON if you know what i mean, people were a bit to harsh on andrew garfield as spider-man beacuse he wasn’t nerdy enough, but atleast he was the same height weight and also kinda looks like more peter parker than tobey did in my opinion, he can also deliver funny lines better than tobey, beacuse the way tobey deliverd jokes in the sam raimi films in my opinon felt so forced and just not funny at all, ”that’s a cute outfit did you’re husband give it to you?” Seriously? that was just cringe worthy, speaking of cringe don’t even get me started on the cringey emo dance he did in spider-man.

I agree you’re issue with tobey magurie, tobey maguire in my honest opinon wasn’t the best spider-man, that’s beacuse of him sounding like he has little to no emotion, almost speaks monotone when he is in costume which is very out of character for someone like spider-man who is very talktive that can’t shut up, his peter parker is iffy, he only captured peter’s character traits being nerdy, awkward, and shy, and that’s about it really there is more to peter parker’s character triats other than his is just a nerd, he didn’t captured peter parker’s confidence boost he gained when he got his powers, he never captured peter parker’s charming side when peter parker gains confidence, peter became more social and more witty as a person when he grew older something that tobey’s version clearly lacked, and peter also dressed better when he went to college, tobey’s peter parker stayed the same and never really moved on of his nerdy, awkward, and shy traits when he graduate hight school and goes to college than moves to adulthood, that ultimately hurted peter’s character beacuse now casual moviegoers think peter parker WHOLE character traits are that he is just loser who is always social awkward zero confident and shy for the rest of his life, but in the comic’s These traits have faded through the years as Parker grew up and gained confidence and became much more social when he grew older, however he still is kinda awkward but not as often and as bad when he was a teenager.

But we both can agree that andrew garfield is the most underrated actor to play spider-man.

@6feet

Okay, apparently you didn’t thoroughly read my comment, despite how you were just acting like you did. I said that Tobey Maguire had the most suitable appearance of the three, but also that I liked Andrew Garfield’s portrayal the most just because of how relatable he was to the audience from, and because of his sarcastic charm. And I’d prefer that the actor at least looks the part to some extent, otherwise how would we be able to buy this portrayal of character? If the actor who is playing Superman was 5’2” and weighed in at 110 pounds, for instance, then it wouldn’t look believable that he could carry the iron weights that’s on his back while saving the city with the cape on his back. My comment about Tom Holland’s hairstyle stands, and I think that he looks like Harry Osborne did in the comic books almost.

While I’ll agree that appearance isn’t everything, it certainly can go along way on screen. The same goes with one’s deflection of the tone in their voice, their delivery of the lines from the script and their presence of their emotion while they convey and react to certain conflicts on screen. I still did enjoy Tom Holland’s portrayal of Peter Parker, and do think that he will grow into the role. What I don’t get is how people are saying that he looks too young to be wearing the Spideysuit, when he’s supposed to be a teenager in high school at the start of the comic books, depending on the writer. Tom Holland looked to be 15-16 in the first movie, and he looks as if he’s 18-19 in recent photos.

My issue with Tobey Maguire’s version was literally how he sounded like he was dying of something by the end of the second movie, and from how mismatched his emo-Spider-Man act was while suddenly showing the villainous side in the soap opera in the third movie. It could have worked in the first movie, with it being an obstacle that he had to sling his way out of while transforming into the protagonist; contrary to how that would be misrepresenting what happened in the comic books. Another thing that added to the mess of cob webs was how he suffered from little to no consequences for his actions in the third movie.
6feet heller said on 5/Jan/19
To Celebheights 6'1.5" i wouldn’t say that tobey maguire had the nost suitable appearance to play peter parker, to me he looks nothing like how peter parker is drawn in comics these days, peter parker looks like more andrew garfield, also you can’t judge his looks by a comic book drawing, it really depends the artist who draws Peter Parker, however most comic artist nowdays draws peter parker as a homesome fella, heck read the first issue of the amazing spider-man vol 5 issue 1 drawn Ryan Ottley and take a look at how good looking he is drawn.

Now you became little bit too nitpicky to andrew in turns of looks, just beacuse andrew looks like someone who would skip calculus classes, and doesn’t look like someone who is social outcast doesn’t mean he is going to make a bad spider-man,
that's like saying hugh jackman is a bad wolverine beacuse he is way too much of a pretty boy to play Wolverine who is a short, ugly, stocky, and (most of all) ridiculously hairy superhero, Hugh Jackman other hand is a tall, handsome, chiseled, and fairly hairy superhero. Not quite the same, but people consider him to be the best live action wolverine actor. Looks mean jack when it comes to superhero roles, its all about the perfomance the actors gives in their roles,

if andrew makes a bad spider-man beacuse he doesn’t look nerdy enough, might as well call hugh jackman a terrible wolverine beacuse he is too handsome and tall, andrew garfield was fine as spider-man, he just had crappy screen writers and a director who has no clue how to direct an action scene.

Tom holland doesn’t have have a punk rock hair style, now you’re just over nick picking, do actors have to be dead on exact same looks and hairstyle of a comic book character to order to make a great live action interpretation of a character? Who honestly cares of how the actor looks, i could give less of an f if they cast an ugly average handsome pretty boy to play spider-man? atleast make sure they give a good perfomance and have good acting skills to play spider-man thats all i care.

In my opinion i never liked tobey maguire as spider-man it has nothing to do with looks, but the perfomance he gave to the character, The guy portraying spider-man/Peter Parker was just so wooden. So emotionless and bland, had zero energetic energy which is how spider-man supposed to be, just overall didn’t fit him as spider-man, when i think of spider-man i think of him being full engertic humorous cocky smartass charmastic did i get ANY of that in the tobey maguire’s version? Nope, never EVER judge an actor playing a FICTIONAL comic book superhero by his looks, you never know if he will give a good or bad perfomance.

Andrew Garfield’s out of bed height: 181.5 CM tall
Before bed: 179.4 CM tall

Tobey Maguire’s out of bed height: 174 CM tall
Before bed: 172 CM tall

Tom Holland’s out of bed height: 171.8 M tall
Before bed: 170 CM

I liked Andrew Garfield’s portrayal of Spider-Man the most out of three, but Tobey Maguire had the most suitable appearance to play Peter Park out of the three, and I’m not saying this because of the fact that Andrew Garfield is too tall, or because Tom Holland is a bit too small. I’m saying this because Andrew Garfield looks more like a jock than he does of someone who would never skip calculus classes or physics lab sessions in school to come up with solutions to save the world. I just couldn’t buy that he was the social outcast that he was trying to convince us that his character was, even though he did sling together a good amount of deprecating sarcasm that kept me tuning in, which is partially why I loved his character. Holland looks more like a tiny punk rock prince with his hair gel rubbing off his spiked up, conceited appearance of a vandal. He still made it enjoyable nonetheless, even if his dialogue wasn’t the best.

And a lot of 22 year olds today still look like teenagers for their age, especially one’s who end up growing a bit after turning 19 from what I’ve noticed. He will certainly grow into the Peter Parker role within a year of two, looking older. To me, he looked 15 or 16 in the first movie, which is perfect for a high school role.

Peter Parker in the comic books was said to be about 5’10“, weighing in at 167 pounds. Very few actors are going to measure up at that exact mark.

Adult spider-man should NEVER sound like a child, im gonne get alot of hate for this but its better if they recast him and hire another actor that actually looks and sounds like an adult? I honestly can’t imagine him playing a FULLY grown spider-man.

When Tom first appeared on screen as Spiderman he was about to turn 20, and was probably 18/19 while filming in 2015. Quite a contrrast to Garfield amd McGuire who almost 30 when they played "high school" Peter!

Tom Holland is only 5’5” 1/4” at the least. 5’5” 3/4” at the most. Zendaya at 5’8” towers over him in her bare feet. So does Liz Allen in the movie. 5’7” is very generous, but easily incorrect for Holland. My guess this is one of the reasons why they never had Spidey cross paths with Black Widow in Infinity War. In Civil War, Spidey & Black Widow looked identical in height especially throughout motion. The cool thing is Tom reps Spidey from high school, the bad thing is he’s done growing. And will remain the shortest Actor to play Spider-Man. Think about it, Pete & Flash looked identical in height too. Pete still being taller, but barely. Tom Holland is definitely in the 5’5” range, no more, no less.

Tom is definitely shorter than he's listed. I suspect he falls in around 5' 7" probably less but differs depending on his shoe thickness. I've noticed he wears some seriously thick soles and there's a video that reveals he wears insoles on top of that. So seems like he adds at least 2-3 inches depending on his shoes. He probably does come in under 5' 7" barefoot. Apparently he also stands on his toes in selfies with fans. It's okay to be short, man. I love him, so it doesn't matter.

@christian

Eh, he's a similar height as Mark Ruffalo, which definitely puts him at 5'7" maybe shorter without shoes, and Zendaya is probably 5' 9-10". You can see in pics where he's in low backed shoes and so is she that she's definitely at least three inches taller than him.

He sometimes looks taller on the red carpet or events but look at his shoes. Elevator shoes, big thick soles, and he already admitted to wearing lifts. He learned from RDJ. LOL. Mr. Stark taught him well. Hey, if it makes him feel better. His brothers are all taller than him now. So if he gives himself an extra two inches on the carpet- hey. Wait for the next Spider-Man movie set pics, see his height in the suit. That would likely give you the best update. Many female fans edge him out, almost all male fans do in pics.

Recent pictures on Infinity War when he's in regular sneakers, not highbacked boots with the possibility of lift inserts, definitely put him shorter than the other actors around him. Significantly. He probably grew a half inch at best, but still falls in the 5' 7inch range. When he took off his shoes at the airport. Same thing. He dropped at least an inch and a half. Significantly smaller than the TSA agents and even his younger brother who has now surpassed his height. If he's 5' 8" it's weak, and only with shoes on.

Darius said on 13/Aug/17
Weak 5'7" is the best guess for Tom Holland's height i.e. 5'6.75". Downey appears 3 inches taller than him in Spider-Man homecoming. In reality I would say Downey is a weak 5'8" i.e. 5'7.75". Seeing Mark Ruffalo with Holland I would mark ruffalo is a solid 5'7" guy (5'7.25"). Although shorter than 5'7" I would say Tom might edge out Big G by a fraction.
Telford said on 12/Aug/17
5ft 7inches, 170.2cm-171cm for sure. Recently he seems taller, but there are videos of Zendaya making fun of him for wearing lifts in his shoes, even shows them on screen. He also during Homecoming stated that he was 5' 7". Now that could have changed minorly, maybe by a half inch but I suspect that half inch is the lifts.
Victor Polk said on 12/Aug/17

Holland with Spider-Man suit should have a "heels" of just 0.5" while Dj has shoes with probably 1" and this put Khaled at 171,5 cm.
In the first photo Holland is 2-2,5 cm shorter so he is 168-169 cm barefeet.
I think Holland is in the 5'6"-5'7":
170 cm in the morning, 169-168,5 cm during the day, 168 cm before bed.
P.S.

This listing is surely max. height for Holland. But I think he is a 5'6.5" to 5'6.75" guy generally. He also wears thick boots sometimes to give off a strong 5'7" impression. Maybe he is around the same height as Big G or maybe a fraction taller. I don't think Holland is a legit 5'7". Anyways, He appeared close Mark Ruffalo's height in the Avengers D23 Expo. Maybe due to foot wear Advantage. I also think Ruffalo may be 5'7.25 than 5'7.5".

Rob, are we talking about gaining up to half an inch through stretching and exercise? I feel like it can make a difference myself, so I am curious about your experience.
Editor Rob
some people may manage it.

It helps if you don't have an optimal posture, then these exercise/stretch routines might help maximise it...if already quite fit, then you might find there's little difference, even after doing something for a few years.

I have read cases of Yoga practitioners discovering it helped them measure a 1/4 or 1/2 inch taller after years of practice.
AskRob said on 17/Jul/17
What kind "some sort of regimen" do you mean Rob?
Editor Rob
exercise and stretching to maximise your posture. In some cases people have increased their height by a fraction.

AskRob said on 16/Jul/17
Hey Rob,
I post it here because I'm the same age and height as Holland and I can seem pretty young, showing 2 years less.
Biologically and anatomically, our body continues to change and modify until 25 by reaching its physical prime.
From 14 to 16 I grew only 1.5"-2" then stopped. Could it be the case of a late grow spurt?
With stretching, training (I do gym with weights), proper sleep and nutrition may still be a small chance to gain 1-2" until 25 years?
I hope you can read and answer my question, thanks.
Editor Rob
the longer it goes, the more unlikely, but there's no real harm in trying some sort of regimen to at least maximise your posture.

Unless somebody is wanting to be casted in a role that requires for one to be taller (such as Superman, Thor or the Hulk), I would say that the 5'9"-5'10" range is actually the ideal height range to be a lead actor in Hollywood just because of the fact that it's "average" (which is actually not as bad as most people make it out to be). 5'10" is technically a bit above average (which is why I refer to 5'10" flat as being 'higher average', with 5'9" being 'lower average'), and you will be taller than almost all of the lead actresses at 5'9" flat alone. A lot of lead roles are your average everyday people, so 5'9"-5'10" would be perfect for those. Both the heights of 5'9" and 5'10" are very underrated.
Keep in mind that he is playing a teenager, and that Tom Cruise is the face of a franchise at 5'7

5'7 is the absolutely SHORTEST you can get away with as a male actor to have conventional roles, particularly leading roles. At 5'7 you can still find plenty of female costars in your range or shorter and most average height men dont dwarf you really. Just stay away from tall people and you'll look normal

5'6 and below actors are usually supporting or comedy. I can't think of a single sub170 actor from this generation who has had a conventional leading role in films.

Can you think of any Rob?

I found Filth to be a sought of Edgar Wrightish movie because of the pace of the comedy and editing but just far more dirty , more attractive people make for better marketing for studios so that is just how it is. 5'7 isnt that shortanyway but that sought of stretching it because people like Jackie Earle Haley who is better than most of the "movie stars aaround " won't get leading roles due to his height . I wrote that other reply on my phone so that is why its so jumbled , sorry you had to brave through that . You're obviously comfortable with your height since you give people it down to mm was the ever time when you were not so at peace with it . Whats a dream height for you and what do you think the best height is for an actor meaning in terms of the range of roles you can play ? Something in the 5'11ish range ? Not too tall but not too short
RainbowBlaster5 said on 26/Dec/16
I agree Rob , this century is era for the unconventional leading men , physical attributes like can truly only get you so far , although starting off when you're a kid is better if you're on the shorter side . He's signed 6 movies with Marvel , which means he has job security , he'll be in the spotlight and get to work with talented actors and directors , he'll get even better than he already is and if he ust keeps a level head and works going to get a chance to work with great actors learn , become a household name and start to get more substantial roles and if he doesn't mess up then one day he could be considered as one of the greats . James McAvoy has been making leaps in his career ever since "The Last King of Scotland " he was great in "Filth" if you haven't seen it then you really should , he'll be acting till the end of his days and probably be nominated sometime in the next few years
Editor Rob
ideally, Height and looks should not define the type of roles actors play, but unfortunately the world isn't ready for Peter Dinklage as the next James Bond.

yes, Filth was a proper acting masterclass from McAvoy.
AJ said on 18/Dec/16
Probably 5'7.25"
RainbowBlaster5 said on 15/Dec/16
He was intially listed as 1.72 correct Rob?
Editor Rob
yes Rainbow, but, he was honest when describing himself as a 5ft 7 guy I think.

Tom and James McAvoy may well share that element of honesty with height that fuels great careers.

For a solid 5ft 7 guy like McAvoy he's had a fantastic career so far...and Holland is shaping up to have a long and distinguished career too!

Tom Holland,Dylan Minnette and Tye Sheridan are all within 5'7-5'8(171cm-173cm) range and only 20 years old.Yet for some strange reason they look 5'10-5'11(178cm-180cm) range on screen.Maybe it's because their next to short actors and actresses or it's their immense talent.
In the trailer he is towered by Robert Downey Jr. who loves wearing lifts!!!
One of the main reasons he was cast as Spiderman was because of his height which he said was 5'7(170cm)
Brandon said on 9/Dec/16
I think he might grow a little until maybe 21 or 22. Not much maybe an inch at most. His voice is still a little high so maybe he is at the very end of puberty and might get another little spurt of height. It honestly isn't as uncommon as some people think for a guy to grow a tad after 18 or even in their early 20s.
Jeff said on 9/Dec/16
Just saw the spiderman homecoming trailer and he looks around 5'6.75. Robert D. Jr obs had elevator shoes again and had a few inches on him.
Marc said on 9/Dec/16
He seems to be a little shorter than Robert downy junior so under 5ft8 inches is probably fair
Marc said on 9/Dec/16
there doesn't seem to be too many decent shots of him with Zendaya to compare heights but, in that dancing video they made were they're wearing socks they seem to be similar height.
Victor Polk said on 28/Nov/16
I think those where your assumptions how tall Paul and Tom, Rob. I think Tom was already 5'8. @Word1234 He could be 5'7, or that was just a mistake.
Darius said on 26/Nov/16
Rob, do you think he is just 5'7" or do you think he has a chance of being 5'7.5" as listed before
Editor Rob
considering he was a couple of inches shorter than Paul Rudd, I think his claim is honest now.
Word1234 said on 23/Nov/16
Good listing! I thought he looked 5'7, I'm quite curious to know what the percentage of men who grow past the age of 20 would be! For someone like tom does he still have a fighting chance to make it to 5'7.5 or 5'8!
Dan said on 10/Nov/16
He recently claim in an interview that he is 5'7. Here's the link:

He looks 5'8 in this picture, he could even look taller than that because of his lanky frame. I have to ask, how on earth could you look at a person and conclude they're 5'7.5 and not 5'8 or somehow say they are only 5'7 and not 5'8? You can't visually tell apart one inch, and anything less than an inch is downright impossible to see the difference of. Not unless you take a tape measure or something.
Paul Thea said on 29/Oct/16
he's 173 cm, my opinion

His mary-Jane is gonna tower him

With 5'4.5 tony revolori, doesn't look a full 3 inches taller.
And Tom has the larger footwear in my opinion

My guess is 5'7.
Although in a couple years when's he's really famous I bet he'll be 5'10.

Here's another photo with Chris Pratt I think the angle is better, how many inch difference is that??
Any chance Tom holland is nearer 5'7?
Editor Rob
you could argue 5ft 7 for Tom, I think 5ft 8 for me is just a bit too much.
Rocky said on 22/Jun/16
he's taller now rob, you can check new Spiderman Homecoming set photos. He and Chris Pratt looks 5 inch different. I think he's 5'8 flat spot on. Check the photos here: Click Here

He is best known for playing Peter Parker aka Spiderman in Captain America: Civil War. The 3rd actor to play Spiderman in the movies.
Victor Polk said on 23/May/16
I think he is of course at least 5'8.
Miller said on 18/May/16
@AJ This listing is fit him IMO, even i think that he might be taller considering in civil war RDJ wear a lift that added him about 2 inches advantage against tom holland, even so RDJ didn't look too much towering him.
I bet he is 173 cm in the morning, 172 cm at day, and 171.5 cm at night. about same height as tom cruise or mark ruffalo.
AJ said on 16/May/16
I actually am starting to think he might be a bit shorter. Probably a strong 5'7". Maybe modify his listing a tad to 5'7.25". He's not too far off this listing but a slight downgrade might be more realistic after watching CACW.
Marc said on 16/May/16
I wouldn't doubt he will grow a little more listening to his voice in Civil war he sounds like his voice is still developing his voice would break when he yelled and stuff. I think he may be a late bloomer. I Have a friend who at 18 was about 5'6 and by 21 grew to be 6ft
Scott said on 12/May/16
Rob, Do you think he is done growing since he is 19 and about to turn 20 in june?
Editor Rob
I think he may well have finished
Victor Polk said on 8/May/16
@EdKing Paul Rudd is suppose to be 5'10. I believe Tom is 5'8.
Victor Polk said on 8/May/16
@MD You have no idea what you're talking about.
Tim said on 7/May/16
i guess 172 cm will be fair enough for him

If Paul rudd is 5'9, tom is shorter than that. I think tom is 5'7

MD said on 5/May/16
@Victor, you can't just upgrade everyone else to make Tom taller, just because. Sorry.
Ben said on 4/May/16
He said he was 5'8, sounds accurate to me.
I think he s closing in on RDJ if you compare them in Civil War. :)
Victor Polk said on 3/May/16
Yet, Paul Rudd was suppose to be 5'10, not 5'9.
Victor Polk said on 3/May/16
Paul is suppose to be 5'10, Rob. So I think Tom really is 5'8.

Editor Rob
rudd looked at least 1.5 inches taller, maybe 2 at times there!
Victor Polk said on 2/May/16
I think Peter is right, Rob. He pretty much looks 5'8 rather than literally 5'7.
Victor Polk said on 2/May/16
@MadMax, @Nd, I think Robert Downey Jr. is now 5'9, and Tom Holland is still 5'8 (or maybe around 5'7, but not that short for a 5'7 teenager).
Tim said on 1/May/16
Rob, if you want to make sure what exactly his height is, you can watch the civil war european premiere in youtube, or search the picture of that event in google. you can compare him with chris evans, anthony mackie, paul rudd, jeremy renner, daniel bruhl, and many more...
MadMax said on 28/Apr/16
Just saw Civil War today....indeed, he looked a very weak 5ft7 in a scene with Downey Jr. Maybe a flat 5ft6, considering that RDJr was wearing lifts on that scene ( which i believe is probably truth)
Peter said on 28/Apr/16
Rob, check this out: Click Here

tom had disadvantage with his neck not straight up

I don't think they are losing much height there

Rob, i guess he is more 5'8 than 5'7, he deserves 5'7.75 (172 cm) judging by how he looks now
Victor Polk said on 12/Apr/16
@chris I've seen pictures of him with other people who has revealed what their heights are, and he probably does look like he is 5'8.

He isn't 5'6 anymore.
MD said on 14/Mar/16
I mean, it's possible, though not likely. More to the point, he's still 19 years old, so I'm not sure where you're getting these ages from. More than that, Barks is clearly in heels. Everything about your post is incorrect. It's stunning, really. It's like you didn't do any research.
chris said on 10/Mar/16
This guy looks no more than 170cm, Hemsworth dwarfes him, he doesn't lookn 5'8, 171 is still a better shout than 173cm, 173cm doesn't look that short.
AXE said on 10/Mar/16
@Victor Polk yeah you're right, i change my mind, i think he's around 5'7-5'8 now

Tyrone Magnus is 5'11, so tom holland should be 5'8 at least on that photo

I don't really know what his true is, but Tom and Chris are using different postures on their leg postures. So I believe that I believe that is why Tom appears smaller than that.
