How tall is Valerie Leon

Valerie Leon's Height

5ft 11 (180.3 cm)

English Actress known for appearing in Carry On films, Blood from the Mummy's Tomb, Zeta One and Queen Kong. Her site describes her as an eye-catching 6-ft, although gives 180cm beside that. In film like Revenge of the Pink Panther she looked very tall. I asked her website who said she was 5ft 11, although on a commercials agency she is listed 5ft 10 with body dimensions: Bust 40 inches, Waist 30 inches, Hips 40 inches and shoe size 9UK. Another listed her stats as "Height 6'0/183, Bust 42, Waist 34, Hips 42, Dress 18, Shoes 10.5UK. " In a 1975 spotlight casting page, she was listed "Height 5 feet 10 inches".

Interesting - she's definitely lost significant height.

I don't know who is supposed to be 5'11" in the photo, but nobody is even close. Has this woman lost a full 2" or something?
Editor Rob
Last time I seen Valerie she looked about 5ft 8, but back in her prime was quite tall - here she is going for a morning stroll with her cat

Look at Rob with all these ladies!
Peter 179cm said on 20/Dec/18
Doesn't look anywhere near 180cm,more like 176cm TOPS..Maybe she was 178cm peak,Rob and 176cm when you met her 10 years ago?
Editor Rob
I seen her recently and she looked roughly about my height but her posture isn't the best, so she could be 5ft 9 still or near it.

She's from a generation where being a tall woman was considered a bad thing by many people so the pressure might have been for her to round down rather than upwards.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 25/Nov/17
Rob you look taller than her?
Tunman said on 10/Nov/17
The funny thing is that women bodies could turn very different.Look at Sigourney Weaver, she's like 70 when you met her and you listed her at 5'11 peak and currently 5'10.5"(Okay I would have said a chance for 5'10.25" but no less),that's despite being herself a legit 5'11 in her heydays.Quite terrible to see some are losing big amounts of height early. When you think of Clinton it's quite amazing especially if you consider his life standards as a former US president.Yet you have the gigantic WRESTLER Kevin Nash a giant at 6'9.5"who won't have lost more than 0.5"-1"at 58.
Editor Rob
she turned 65 when I met her, but spine-wise actually didn't look to have much curvature problems, like many women, whilst Valerie not much a different age definitely looked like she lost a more noticeable amount.
Tunman said on 8/Nov/17
Yeah,at the end I could see 6.5"difference with Bresslaw, assuming his head must be around 10"so likely a little over 7"since he's certainly wearing 0.75"-1"shoes.5'11 is fair though I would shave a small fraction. Not under 5'10.5"anyways.5'10.75"imo.And what an attractive girl by that time, wonder who would have been able to resist her certainly not our friend Bernard heyhey.
Editor Rob
179-80 might be quite possible. She used to hold her posture quite well on screen, not like some ladies over 5ft 10 who might slouch at times, this women looked great and had confidence on screen.
Tunman said on 7/Nov/17
Rob,if she's not much taller, like what 174-5?How could she be 5'11?You said you met her in 2008 right?she was only 64,(born in November 1943).Losing 2" that early is quite a lot.I mean there are people even taller than her who manage not to lose a fraction by early/mid 60's.I have no doubts she was at least 5'10 and I wouldn't rule out maybe 179,that could make sense for the 5'10 claim right between 5'10 and 11.
Also I must say she looks very beautiful and, would have never thought she was 64 next to you, perhaps 50-55max
Editor Rob
2 inches would seem a lot by age 65 yes...she could always have been between 5ft 10 and 11, but she definitely always listed herself in the Spotlight directories as 5ft 10, but then some tall women would drop half or 1 inch from their claim at times!

In this clip from a Carry On Click Here, she had something like a 1.5-1.75 heel I believe and held up quite well standing there beside 6ft 6 Bernard Bresslaw...
Tunman said on 7/Nov/17
Rob,she looks hardly 173-4 with you,and she seems closer to the camera.I know there is no way she would be that small if you listed her at 5'11,so is she dropping several inches of height here?
Editor Rob
by this stage she was at an age she would have lost height and in person wasn't much taller when greeting those ladies...so must have lost a couple of inches in height from her prime because she was claiming 5ft 10 and 11 during her career.

Sandy Cowell - Hi!

Yes the dropping of an iPad or phone out of a window onto the ground below sure does rank as 1/2 out of 20 in terms of being a sight for sore eyes, but something much larger like a typewriter would rank much higher in terms of being a spectacle if such a fate was to occur! A spectacular incident occurred during my childhood when my Mum, due to Mark's bad behaviour, threw his stereo out of his bedroom window, thus causing it to shatter on the concrete path below! Unfortunately I wasn't around to witness it, I think that I was at school!
A couple of days ago when I first read your post I funnily enough thought that a suitable remedy for your autocorrect would be to chuck it out of the window!
Now onto Valerie, she does not look a full 5'11" based in the photo above, she looks 5'10.5" - 5'10.75", but I trust the judgment of you and Rob so maybe she is the full 5'11" or very close to it!
See you and Rob on the page of the man with the same surname as myself! Keep looking a few times over the next day because I don't know which comment will be published first!

Cheers!

@ Nik - The best way to come to terms with an autocorrect is to sling it out of the window with great force!
Nothing else seems to have the same effect!
I am, of course, talking about the noise that would be created when the whole typewriter was thrown with great force!* The noise would be quite bloody marvellous!
On our piddly new little machines, the effect is a poor half out of twenty!

* I never met with such an incident, alas, expect for in a dream!
I do not have a temper at all! I dream funny dreams in which I have a temper though, but when I wake up it is no more! 😭😭

Very funny mate! Nice one!

I will swap you autocorrects then!

πŸ˜‚ Correction Time! πŸ˜‚ πŸŒƒ

Here are a couple of atrocious mistakes:
'I have just SEEN' instead of 'I have just SEE' is the first stinker on the agenda tonight and:-
'Egyptian' is spelt simply like so,πŸ”and does NOT begin 'Ex'! That was, needless to say, down to my stupid thicko of an autocorrect! 🐌😬😜

Cheers and Good Night to you all! πŸŒ‡β˜•πŸ˜†

I have just see the second half of the film 'Blood From the Mummy's Tomb', which was on the 'Horror Channel' tonight, and if anyone really wants to take in Valerie at her exotic best, then I thoroughly recommend that this is the film for you!
Valerie plays a duel role as an Exgyptian Queen, complete with jet black hair and ample assets! For much of the part of the film that I caught, the 'double' part of Valerie's character is lying down, trance-like and decorated with the sort of finery you'd hardly buy at a jumble sale!
The only descrepency I noticed was when she opened her eyes and they were blue! Hardly befitting of an ancient Exgyptian, though the 'modern-day' Valerie 'descendent' character, who was walking about, forgiveably had blue ones, I fully expected the 'Mummy' Valerie to have dark ones! It would have added a cute little detail and I like things like that!
However, it is only when the semi-clad Valerie stands up that you can seriously take in her height, and I say 'seriously' for a reason! She is mega-tall with jaw-droppingly generous 'charms', and not the sort you buy, be they at a jumble sale or even Fortnum and Mason's! No, these are the variety you couldn't buy, and no way back in those days, even if you were a Queen! I can honestly say that I haven't noticed Valerie in any 'Carry-On' films, because the girl on my TV tonight isn't the type of lady you're likely to forget, so I think her colouring might have been different for the comedies. The Exgyptian Queen variant can't have been much less than 6ft, so it hasn't taken me at all long to decide upon 5ft11 for her at her peak height and as there is just the one box, she's going to get it anyway because that's what she is fresh in my mind right now.
One last thing - I MUST check Valerie out in 'Return of the Pink Panther'! I'm on the brink of remembering her as the tall, eye-catching brunette from that film, though without 100% certainty, it still has a nasty habit of gnawing away at you, doesn't it? 😝

Looks a legit 5 ft 9 in the photo.

She was absolutely stunning peak. Well, she was about 5 inches shorter in heels than Bernard Bresslaw in Carry On Girls, so if he was 6 ft 7 in shoes around 6'2 in heels. Yes, around 5 ft 11 peak makes sense, she did look very tall for a woman.
Editor Rob
the time I seen her, she still looked good for her age...although could tell she lost height.
Jewel said on 9/Jun/15
If she is 5.11 you are 5.10 Rob :)
Editor Rob
she had lost height by about 66, I think that's her age here.
