Ok I watched that episode of The Saint and to be honest you they could vary in those two scenes. Moore's posture is exceptionally good while this guy isn't standing quite as well (leaning on a chair in the second scene but still looks about the same)
I think the full 6ft1 for Allan is fair whilst still maintaining that edge for Roger.

Like Rory, I'm surprised to see this guy listed under 6ft1. Holds up well with Cleese in that episode of Fawlty but I haven't seen that episode of The Saint with Roger Moore yet.
This is the lowest I'd argue for him and 6ft1 on the dot could be closer

Expected him to be listed 6ft1 or 1.25 but I think there is merit to this 6ft0.75. He had great posture which enabled him to look 186 at times,but I do think he maybe was edged by Moore as Rob said and he also was arguably no more than an inch taller than Patrick Macnee(5ft11.75 tops) in avengers. Still I'd probably have gone 6ft1 flat myself but I'd say 6ft0.75 was more realistic than anything like 6ft1.5 say.

On the Michael Gwynn page, you remarked (and I agree): "Allan had himself down as 6ft 1, but could pass for taller. Maybe like a Timothy Dalton, he preferred a flat 6ft 1 than nearer 6ft 2."
Allan struck me as a solid 6'1" man, the same height as Roger Moore on The Persuaders!, and no shorter than 6'1" Richard Caldicot on Fawlty Towers. I would have expected a 6'1.25" listing over a 6'0.75" listing for Allan actually.

Editor RobWell I looked again at Moore and Cuthbertson in the Saint and for me, Moore looked the 186 guy and Allan a bit shorter.
