I agree 6'6.5" would be a good listing for him. He doesn't look a strong 6'7" in the photo but he's also claimed 6'7" so I think it would be fair to list him between the two heights he claimed.

In fact, i said 6'6 flat is hard to believe but you yourself said 6'6.5 is not impossible so he could have measured near it on a bad day and just went with 6'6... The same way Lance Reddick claimed 6'2...

Editor Rob he's downplayed it with a 6ft 6 claim (or he could have measured just under 6ft 7 and has dropped the 7/8ths!)...at his height getting roles is a tough business.
I would be shocked beyond belief if he was only 6ft 6 flat...I mean he looked over 6ft 6 and with less footwear I believe the 6ft 7 claim is real.

Not a full head but close A 6'6.5 listing is fair but 6'7 is close. There's about 10.25 inches here factor in the .4 advantage for Rob then we are talking 6'6.75 almost. That's his real listing I think.

Editor Rob normally I would look around the mouth of a 6ft 4 man, even sometimes under his mouth if the camera angle favoured the tall man.

Trust me, I did a sheet comparison during the 15 people contest and Cudmore DEFINITELY had over an inch on Challenger 15 accounting for the footwear. I know #15 can look like 6'7-6'8 at first glance but the lowest you could argue for Cudmore is really 6'6.5".

Looking at this photo you see about a 24 cm difference in height (25 including footware), rather than 28. But people can look a little bit taller or shorter than they really are in one photo, especially because I'm sure he's not a guy who is trying to look extra tall for photos.

When you look at Cudmore standing it really is difficult to imagine he's practically the same height as Peter Crouch. Crouch's proportions make him look 6 ft 9, Cudmore's make him look 6'5"-6'6". I wouldn't bet on Cudmore measuring under 200cm, although it is possible his low is 199.

Jenny seems to come 1/4 below his chin or equal with it so about 10.25 difference here.

Editor Rob it's a standout height. More eyes are on you than the average man...for some people that would be a bad thing, but others would like the feeling of that and also taller people are given more leeway in work and are thought of in a better sense than the smaller man.
There can be advantages and disadvantages in general day to day living. Imagine going on the tube/buses/flights/cars regularly - it's more physically challenging being extremely tall than being average in situations like that.

Put it this way, if rob measured him at 7'1, i would say cool he looks it, if measured him at 7'0, i would say cool he looks it and if rob measured him at 7'2 or 7'3, i would say cool he looks it.
You see, if rob was at least 6'5, i could reasonably deduce ian's height but he isn't. The only way round it would be to compared challenger 15 with rob and ian with rob and work out the difference and even then it wouldn't be accurate.

Cool - if cudmore appeared in the region of 1 - 1.5 inches taller then challenger 15 then i can't argue.
As i said before because he is so tall, even a slight slouch can make him look shorter by 0.5 inches. I was purely using the picture above and considering footwear disadvantage and comparing with challenger 15's picture and cudmore came out a fraction shorter but that's probably due to posture and you can't tell his true length by bit. Yes, cudmore could realistically be 6'6.5 .

Editor Rob I saw the big height challenger the other day in the supermarket and he definitely gives a bigger look than joe does, but Cudmore is taller in person, at least 1-1.5 inches

I feel pretty tall at my height and if I hold a mirror up and see where 6'7" is on my door I always find it amazing how a guy could be that big or more barefoot. Hmm.. I'm 183 cm and have a friend that's 202 cm and somehow this difference between Rob/Jenny and this guy doesn't shock me? I remember me and my friend stood next to eachother in a shopping-mall mirror and I looked like a kid next to him. Rob/Jenny is supposed to be 4" shorter than me.. so adding 4" on them in this photo and they wouldn't look that "towered".. but I thought I did with my friend.. weird :/ I would have guessed maybe 194-195 for this guy based on this pic.

Here he is next to Jackman. Jackman's posture isn't the best and Cudmore's is almost Stallone like but Cudmore actually makes Jackman looks a 6'1"er here. In that photo its difficult to see him even a hair under 6 ft 7 even accounting for posture differences.

Editor Rob well he looked in the 6ft 6 range, and the challenger 15 looked 6ft 5 range, but cudmore of course had converse while i had an inch, so I would doubt he'd measure under 6ft 6.5.

Yeah I'd probably agree with you on that Alex. A true giant has to be over 6'10" really but anything over 6'8" for me is the "mark". Cudmore I'd describe as extremely tall but not a "giant". Kim Kardashians husband Chris Humphries at 6'9" to me at times looks a giant or a borderline one.

i think in mall thats less chance to see someone tall as daniel cudmore 199-200cm. as skinny 160pounds and 195cm with a regular 1.2in boots on a day shop in a mall im greatly tall in the mall by a few would stare at me in a day im use to it. cudmore walks in the mall would get more attention for sure.

Editor Rob well, there's a lot you can do to improve guessing. The further away the harder it can be but what I've tried to do over the years of this site is to 'program' the old noggin to better recognise 5ft 10, 11, 6ft 3,4 etc. I've used the stadiometer and people I know as the basis for that. I have measured many family/friends whose height I know exactly and this all helps reinforce what certain heights look like from my perspective.
Add in other people whose height I know who also stand beside a celebrity and this helps a bit aswell.
