Vegas, Ted had serious back surgery in 1993. He had a career ending back injury. The surgery most definitely lowered his height.
Look at the video I sent. The proof is in the pudding. Dibiase at least 2" on Ventura. Either way if you want to say Dibiase was 6'1.5" in his prime, you'd have to dock Jesse to 5'11".

If Dibase was 6'3", Ventura is not more than 6'2.5" peak height for sure. He was clearly not more than 6'3", even if Dibase was 6'3.75" (he's only listed at 6'3" peak height here).

I was watching Batman & Robin recently (don’t judge me), and I noticed Ventura’s cameo alongside Ralf Moeller. I thought Moeller must be about seven feet tall. I had always read references to Jesse’s six-foot-four height and I noticed how much Moeller towered over him. When I read Moeller is actually around six-foot-six, I realized there is no way Jesse could be as tall as he has claimed to be. In that film, he looks more like 6 feet, or even 5-11, because even Uma Thurman is taller than him.

Charles Barkley indeed isn't 6'6, he's 6'4, but in the pic Jesse is standing behind Barkley and he's leaning a lot more than Barkley is. So this pic really isn't a good way to judge Ventura's height. In the mid-eighties, whenever Jesse would interview Hulk Hogan, it was always apparent that Hogan had a good two inches on Jesse...Even when they wrestled, Ventura looked small next to Hogan...Now, Hogan is said to be no more than 6'4" today and it would be very interesting to see them stand next to each other with Hogan's obvious loss in height over the years...I have read that Ventura is 6'2" and 245 pounds today, but I have also seen him listed at 6'4"-6'5"...His heighest weight in the WWF was 281 pounds... Ventura also said he was 6'5" in part of the DVD extras for Predator. Guess he's another one of those people who can't decide what height they are. :)
He also is said not to have been a Navy SEAL at all but was a UDT (a "frog") which was a much, much safer job to be in back then, so his honesty is perhaps questionable on some things but that's maybe no surprise as we are talking about a former wrestler here. ;) CelebHeights Editor says on 26/Aug/05
