Morgan Freeman had more than "an inch" in Bruce Almighty on Jim Carrey. Maybe 2 or 2 1/2 inches. Jim is closer to 6.05...Jim also had the big gappy air sneakers while Freeman had flats.

Never thought of Carrey is being exceedingly tall, but when watching Bruce Almighty I became aware that he also taller than most men with whom he is compared. In some cases by quite a margian.

I think I have the best evidence so far. Jim next to Jenny McCarty who is 5'6"(dont know why she is listed here as 5'6.5")I have heard her referr to herself as 5'6". Anyway here is the picture:

As you trained eyes can see she is up to his nosetip. She wears 3" heels and that will give her a 2" gain so she is then 5'8" and I estimate Jims head to be 24CM or 9.5" a pretty average head size, this means that from the top of his head to the tip of his nose it should be 16.5CM or 6.5".comparisson 5'8"+6.5"= 6'2.5". Jim wears a typical pair of suite shoes which will give him 0.75" extra so 6'1.75" or 187.5CM is then his height. However considering he tilts his heads upwards in the picture I know from experience that it will usually skew the result with 0.5" so I reduce his height to 6'1.25" or 186CM. And that is the impression I have had of him when seeing him at talk shows such as Leno and also in his movies. 186CM is spot on in my opinion!.
But he do look a full 6'2" guy and sometimes even 6'3" when he stands alone due to his long legs and short torso and his lean figure but when I see him next to other people in films I have always estimated him to 186CM.

Hard to say but in both Dumb and Dumber and Earth Girls Are Easy, Carrey was two inches shorter than the late SNLer Charles Rocket, who was listed as 6'2'' (shortchanged???). The problem is that you can't tell if Jim is standing fully straight because of his tendency to do physical comedy.

If you watch the movie 23 he's taller then everyone in the movie except once character, he's got such a lazy posture and his head was always slouched. But he still looked rather tall compared to everyone else in the movie. I cant see him anything under 6'1.5

And Jim Carrey started by telling it was a 6'1 guy refering to himself. As you know on the film he was unable to lie, so even if it was in the film why didn't he tell 6'2 instead of 6'1 since he talked about himself ???

My dad's girlfriend Heather, met Jim Carrey, and had a picture taken with her and Rupert Everett. Rupert Everett is 6`4, and Jim Carrey does appear to be about 2 inches shorter. I would say 6`2 is pretty accurate.

Jim Carry came out and did one of the most tasteless routines I've ever seen. I could instantly tell that Murdoch was not pleased in the slightest with Carry's humor which I must say was generally in the gutter. Neither was the majority of the black tie audience in attendence. Perhaps he's just being cautious. I imagine he gets a large percentage of annoying wackos apeing his lines/catchphrases from his movies to his face all the time. I reckon I'd just ignore everyone after hearing someone shout 'Allllrighty Then!' for the 5,000th time.

there is an old snl epiosde with jim carrey hosting it and he was doing the night at the rockbary spoff with will farrel and he had about 3inches on him , rob you should def check it out. jim carrey might be between 5'11.5-6'0

In that photo with Agassi, it's not the Carrey's posture that's an issue - I'd bet Agassi is standing on something! We can't see their feet and Agassi's knees and socks are way to high if he and Carrey would be standing on the same level. And also look at Agassi's small arms and hands compared do Carrey's.

If he stood up straight next to Agassi, he has a solid inch and a half on him. I think Carrey's about 6' 1/2" barefoot. Making him 6' 2"ish in generous shoes. Like most males in hollywood, he gives the shoed height as his official height.

When I was in LA i saw celebrity License's in a store window... it had Jim Carrey at 5'11" i think they might have given him a half inch designation on the card as well... i find it unlikely and see him being closer to 6'2"...

hes shorter then tommy lee jones in batman, so he isnt a Strong 187cm haha, thats quite funny, a "strong" 187cm, funny terminology hes either 187 or not haha, and he probably isnt. so If hes shorter then Tommy, whoes like 6ft, and tommys shorter then will smith whoes meant to be 6"2, but is hardly even 6"1 ( Ive met him, hes not big, pushing 6"1 in the morning haha) then by this Jim could even be 6ft or 5"11.5 . He doesnt look much more then half an inch taller then aggasi anyway. Its a pity people dont know how to use a measuring tape properly anymore.

Taking into account postures and so on it did look as though Carrey was 0.5-1" taller, which I found difficult to reconcile at the time as I had believed Wilkinson to be 6'3".

Jim Carrey looks between 5'10 - 6'2 and is good at playing a smallish character. Remember in Batman how he appeared smaller than Val Kilmer? He's no doubt very close to 6'2 when he stands up.

I'm not sure as to what Carrey's height is exactly, but when I met him a couple years ago before he did the Conan O'Brien he did look to be 187 cm at the very least. All I can say is, if LL Cool J is 187 cm then Jim Carrey is atleast 190 cm. Carrey to me definately did looked to be 2 or 3 cms taller than me, which would put him in the 187/188 cm range.
