Lol. Menace195 bringing down 5'9 for john cho whose literally 5-6cm shorter than pine, quinto, urban primere of startrek and on karl urban page bring up 6'2 for flat 6ft urban. Cho is at least 5'10 if the cast was 6"-6"1. C-Dawg says on 3/Aug/11
I've got one full-blooded Korean acquaintance who is 6'4" and a couple of others who are 6'1". Koreans get pretty tall. cho is korean says on 1/Aug/11
cho is south korean, they are generally on the taller side! Brandon says on 20/Jul/11
NPH is 5'11" or 6ft in dress shoes, 5'10" barefoot, and both Cho and Penn was possibly 1-2 inches shorter than him, 5'8" - 5'9" is probably accurate for both Cho and Penn. B says on 19/Feb/11
This guy doesn't quite look 5' 10'' in some of the Star Trek preimer pics with Chris Pine what do you think Rob? because in one of the pics posted by "Luke" (the first pic) he looks about 3 to 3.5 in shorter then Pine with good posture and a slightly raise eye level with Pine who appears to have a slight lean! and Chow has slightly more hair on his head then Pine so I'm starting to think 5' 9.5-177cm for Chow might be a bit more fair what is your opinion Rob? please answer. michael says on 20/Jan/11
I think he is 176 Menace 195cm says on 29/Dec/10

@Hikaru: I'm not Korean but here`s a thought! Divide known Asian celebrities you know into nationalities and draw your own conclusion.
Japanese: Mr.Miyagi(God bless his soul), Harold`s father(forgot his name), Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa, Midori Ito, Christi Yamaguchi, Mirai Nagasu.
Chinese: Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, James Hong, Lisa Ling, Michelle Kwan.
Korean:John and Margaret Cho, Daniel Dae Kim, Kim Yuna, Linda Park, Michelle Wie.
Bottom line is Chinese people tend to have bigger eyes and wider nose similar to South-east asian. Koreans have smaller eyes, narrower nose, lighter skin tone. And Japanese anywhere in btwn. Of course there are alot of people from above nationalities who doesnt look like anything described hence pass for any nationality. But in my experience, Koreans looked slightly taller and bigger than any other asians. Among younger generation that is. Radioflyer says on 30/Nov/10
As an American who was stationed in Osan (korea) for a yr, and having travelled all over Asia after the service before heading home, South Koreans are the tallest Asian period. If a Vietnamese is 6ft, he is considered shaq o Neil in his home country. If a Chinese then Kobe Briant. If a Japanese then Christopher reeve. If a south Korean, then slightly tall. I'm talking about guys younger than 35 though. Just travel these countries if you got the time and money. See for yourselves. I heard that Korean ancestors came from Sumer (ancient middle-east civilization)using the ancient silk road. Hence the difference in height comes out given the proper nutrition. And similar sounds in languages btw arab and Korean, though they look Asian now. Even the personalities are similar I think. MD says on 8/Nov/10

Asians nowadays are getting taller esp. Koreans and Chinese, if you happens to visit Asia if you only have have a height of 5-7 to 5'8 nahhh you'll be shorter than them.Well there's still short guy though with average height from 5'5 to 5'6 which is normal to asians. But with the new generations they're getting taller. You wont believe me?try to go either Korea or China, make sure you have a height taller than 5'7 to 5'8. :) by the way koreans, japanese and chinese are easy to tell from each other... |
