A good thing to do is compare him to Johnny Carson (between 5'10" and 5'10.5") and Ed McMahon (6'3") on the Tonight Show in 1985. John Ritter was clearly taller than Carson but not by too much and was about three inches shorter than McMahon putting Ritter around 6 feet. Then compare how tall Seinfeld looked in his 1990 appearance on tonight show, and he was maybe four inches shorter than McMahon, but it's clear Seinfeld is a little shorter than Ritter. Do the same for Macca(appearance in 1984) and it's clear Macca is shorter than those two men and about same height as Carson. Thus, I belive Frank2 who said Ritter was a tad shorter than him (a little less than 5'11").

One of the most underated performers out there. I was shocked that he was over 50 by the time of his death. I thought he was younger. Still he died way too young.
