Hes the same height as Doug Savant, 5´10, you can see their height is identical many times on Desperate Houswives. Peak height was probably near 5´11. Josh Radnor had half an inch on him on HIMYM, and he´s between 5´10 and 5´11.

I saw the episodes of HIMYM and I would say they are even in height. I know the scene you are talking about where Radnor goes back to Zoey's old apartment to collect the box and Radnor looks slightly taller. BUT in an earlier episode on the boat MacLachlan looks slightly taller than Radnor. In all other scenes they are basically even in height. I have MacLachlan as the same height as Radnor, 5'11.5". dmeyer says on 13/Mar/11
