Sharapova was a bit smaller than Craig Kilborn who is 6'5- 196cm however sharapova was wearing high heels, the heels would of gave her at least 2 inches still and she was a bit smaller, and kilborn is a flat 6'5.

Most things have her 6'2- 188cm but a few things list her as 187cm, Roddick was a bit taller on a pic with her when both had level footwear on, Most the time Maria wears high heels, she is between 186-188 I think, between 6'1 and 6'2 and she may take 6'2- 188 as she may measure a nice 187 so she just says 6'2 as it sounds better than 6'1 1/2 or 6'1 3/4 etc. Hans says on 10/Mar/10

Maria's modelling Bio has her 187cm which is 6'1 1/2 but would possibly be rounded to 6'2-188, It may be her height is between 186-188cm and she takes 188, I personally think Maria is 187cm tall.

Women are very funny when they are tall. I believe she is definately 187cm/ 187.3cm at most which is still closer to 6'2" anyway. But girls like always relax thelir postures when standing next to guy who aren't much taller. Go to getty images type maria sharapova and go to pages 44-45 and you can see her getting out of that SUV wearing relatively flat shoes.
These should be a good guide because it's next to something we know for a fact is 74.5 inches, 6'2.5 (189.23 cm), a 2008 Land Rover R3 :) (I'm assuming it's a 2008 LR3 because it was taken at the Land Rover 60th Anniversary July 11th 2008)
Also on page 45 is a pic with Jaleel White (6'1) but not a great angle. The comparisons with the car are pretty good I believe.

Elena Dementieva is billed as 5'11 but she has always compared favorably with the very tall girls. I just encountered this photo taken today of her and fellow Russian Igor Andreev, who is listed as 6'1. They look exactly the same height. Notice Elena is even resting on one leg.

Please, please, please guys believe me that she's nothing near 6'2. 6'1 or maybe 6'1.25 is the maximum, but I still don't believe, because she's shorter than Roddick and Federer who are 6'1-6'2, so she must be UNDER 6'1, watch this videos or pics, you see that Venus is 5'11 or something like this and Roddick Federer 6'1-6'2, but everytime Sharapova is in the picture she's a bit (not a lot) shorter than them so it's a fact that she's maybe about 6'0.5-6'1. That's still VERY, VERY tall for a woman, but stop dreaming, she's always wearing lifts and so she's 6'5+ which makes the illusion of being a giant.
6'2 is wrong, 6'1.5 is also wrong (I think it's her height IN tennisshoes NOT barefoot), so 6'1.5 - shoes makes her 6'0.5-6'0.75. That's still amazing! I'm also 6'1.5-6'2 in shoes and I'm called TALL, she is.... AMAZINGLY TALL! kampioen says on 7/Jan/10

I agree with Karl on this one. Federer's legs are bent in those pics while Sharapova is standing fully upright. Roddick has a good inch or two on her it appears. I don't mind that Sharapova is kept at 6'2" anymore. Women are usually listed 2 inches higher than they are in reality. A 6 foot male is much taller than a 6 foot female. Vegas says on 2/Jan/10

I don't get it that Federer (6'1.25) and Roddick (6'2) are taller than Maria and everyone wants her to be 6'2 or even 6'3 (most ridicolous comment for months). Fair point talker although what I'm saying is that if she said herself she is 1.87m in the metric system and it was very recent she as might as well be that height, but I don't think there's anyway whatsoever that she is under 1.87m now days, she just looks too tall to be shorter than that. The difference between 1.87m and 1.88m is very small but it makes a huge difference to some of the posters over here. How long will it be until someone flips out a measuring tape back stage on her one of these days...
P.S. to 'dstrzdr' - The video on youtube only shows a few minutes of the show and it mentions nothing of her height. So far the only source we have is from you claiming to have watched the whole show on TV, so thanks for your info. She was in Chile, first days of december. She really stood out. Youtube search for "Maria Cachantun" and you will see part of the interview. The guy is 1.78m and the female interviewer about 1.76mwithout shoes.
