Douglas looked as tall as Viggo Mortensen in Perfect murder, and in dress shoes he looked 3 inches taller than barefoot Paltrow. Looked 5'10 in that time,1998. He also looked Sean Bean's height in Don't say a word in 2001.

He has cancer. Does that make you lose height? He always looked 5 foot 8 to me. At least he's better now. Don't know how he was taller than shia in money never sleeps. Probably lifts. 5 foot 8.

I think he was around 5'10 at peak. He looks a weak 5'10 in Wall Street, but he could have worn some lifts. I think 177 peak.

When I lived in San Francisco I was watching a set up for "The Streets of San Francisco" down by Aquatic Park when this tiny guy pushed his way to the front. It was Douglas. I would have guessed then that he was about 5'6". I'm sure I'm wrong but it was quite startling. All the celebrities I have actually met in person like Gregory Peck and O.J. Simpson seemed smaller than expected except Bo Swenson whom I dumped into on the street in Rome - he was pretty drunk but not short.

Maybe it wasn't that Douglas was so short but that he was so frail. He looked like he was perhaps 135 lbs.

much shorter than albert brooks in In-Laws. i think he never was 5ft10. in his youth he was 5ft9 tops and now somewere under that.

I just watched Traffic and thought he looked 5'11 - 6'0. Was really surprised at seeing he was 5'10 and below. Maybe he just gives the impression of a tall guy

I saw Falling Down yesterday and he looks like a tall guy in it. You should look up ''drive by scene falling down'' on youtube. And look when he walks away. If I wouldn't know better, I would think he's like 6'1.

He was 49 when they shot that movie so I think, at the time, he was a good 5'10. He's taller than almost everybody in the film, although only slightly.
